Warriors into the wild the book - a review by a child
childsview.wordpress.com — Warriors are the best book I ’ve ever read, I would rate it 10 out of 10. It’s about a cat named rusty that wants to become wild. There are 4 clans thunderclan, riverclan, windclan and shadowclan. My youngest son (10) does reviews of movies and books on his personal blog and I like to offer him encouragement by asking people to Digg and comment.
- 100 diggs
- digg it
- Uglakaa, on 05/16/2008, -4/+5Great Review. Thank you for bringing this book to our attention, we love animal stories an cat's in particular. My daughter and I are going to look for this book when we go to the library this week.
ShellyB - beckyjoubert, on 05/16/2008, -4/+8If you continue to enjoy reading this much in the future, it will take you very far! Thanks for a great review.
Becky Joubert - Airsled, on 05/16/2008, -4/+5Yes, It's really great when children like and want to read. I guess I'm still a kid, I really like a good book when I can find one.
- irenegade, on 05/16/2008, -4/+4Thank you for this. My son is really into these types of books so I will pass the recommendation on.
Irene Kirkman - BeShirtHappy, on 05/16/2008, -4/+4A very good book review! I have a 5 year old son that already loves reading as well. Reading is a passion of mine and it warms my heart to see kids enjoy it so much. I look forward to reading more of your book reviews!
- joyradiantlife, on 05/16/2008, -4/+4My grandchildren enjoy animal stories. Thanks for the recommendation.
- bsilva, on 05/16/2008, -4/+4I will suggest this book to my teacher friends to keep on their shelves for their students to enjoy. Just might have to read it myself! Thanks for the great review!
- MLMSage, on 05/16/2008, -4/+3Nice! I think I will get this book for my niece for Christmas. I'm sure it will remind her of her own cat.
- livegreenordie, on 05/17/2008, -3/+5 College students could learn a lot from you!
- feebie, on 05/17/2008, -2/+8Hm....these comments are very fishy.
- bstory, on 05/17/2008, -5/+1Sorry you feel that way - the blog is from a 10 year old and so is the review. Just a child sharing his joy in a book he found.
- feebie, on 05/17/2008, -1/+5I'm pointing out the fishy comments. Not the review itself. I dugg the article.
- bstory, on 05/18/2008, -2/+1I can't help the comments as I have no control over them. Can you believe some people think they were paid for?
- feebie, on 05/18/2008, -0/+2I actually can, lots of people do that on digg for front page articles.
Also, 15 or more comments on this thread are from Internet/Network Marketers aka people who get paid to digg submissions.

- life38, on 05/17/2008, -4/+3This is great to see. My kids blog for me and it has really been a way to bridge work and family.
- Gemfinder, on 05/17/2008, -5/+3Looks cool. I just finished "His Dark Materials" and I'm looking for my next read.
- monospaced, on 05/17/2008, -1/+4Are you serious? You're forty-six years old.
- Gemfinder, on 05/20/2008, -1/+2Yes I'm serious, and thank you for taking the time to look.
One of my favourite books is "Where The Wild Things Are," too. I can't wait for the movie to come out.
Never too old to have a happy childhood, remember?
- Gemfinder, on 05/20/2008, -1/+2Yes I'm serious, and thank you for taking the time to look.

- JoanDark, on 05/17/2008, -4/+4This was a very interesting review! Thanks! My grandkids are teenagers now or I know they'd want to read this book.Actually I want to read it! And If I get it, I know my grandsons and granddaughter will borrow it!
I'm happy you found a book to bring you into the love of reading. You will have a WONDEROUS summer now!(And life). - psychmd, on 05/17/2008, -3/+5I am very impressed with your love of reading, keep us posted!
- bstory, on 05/17/2008, -4/+3I want to thank you all for digging and commenting, my son is very impressed by your comments and quite pleased with himself. In fact his older brothers are perhaps a little jealous but that is OK as it may inspire them as well.
- monospaced, on 05/17/2008, -2/+2I know he's just a child, but it's not too early to instill better spelling and grammar practices, especially now that he's entering the scary world of the internet and places like Digg, a breeding ground for the worst writing I've ever seen. Reading for fun, which your son thankfully takes pleasure in, will be very helpful in his future.
- tmayhu, on 05/17/2008, -4/+3Sounds like a great book. Thanks for sending the shout about this. You're right, Mom. This is a great way to encourage your son's interest in reading, writing, reviewing . . . it may lead to something big!!!
- bstory, on 05/17/2008, -2/+2Thanks and its a dad actually
- AchieveNW, on 05/17/2008, -4/+3I can't wait to get the book. I'm on my way to visit my grandkids in California, last visit before they head to England for 3 years. We'll read together this trip and I'm sure they'll enjoy this book! I'll keep checking back to see what else you recommend.
- anonm, on 05/17/2008, -2/+8WTF is up with these comments? They're so formal and sound like they're all written by parents, not digg users...
- MasterThief117, on 05/17/2008, -2/+3I learned to not question the events and happenings on digg.
- bstory, on 05/17/2008, -4/+3Because parents use Digg too.
- noahsawyer, on 05/17/2008, -2/+2It must have been planned..
- bstory, on 05/18/2008, -2/+2again to what end... there is no affiliate codes on teh review and any adsense code is place by wordpress not the boy or myself.
- gajolo, on 05/17/2008, -2/+4It's a good book, and as a 13 year old blogger I'm glad to hear about a 10 year old blogging. But I won't digg this. And the comments seem really spammy.
Edit: Just in case the author is reading this, I highly recommend The Old Kingdom trilogy by Garth Nix.- bstory, on 05/17/2008, -3/+2The comments are genuine and for my son, who reads all of the comments, I thank you.
- BoogieManOh, on 05/17/2008, -0/+3Actually, sir, most of the comments PRAISING the review are all network & internet marketing spammers that have no lives, as yourself. That poor kid of yours is being used so you can pull in money. It's a shame that the best thing you can do all weekend is sit around hoping for customers to fulfill your worthless life. Get a real job.
- bstory, on 05/17/2008, -3/+2The comments are genuine and for my son, who reads all of the comments, I thank you.
- chono, on 05/17/2008, -4/+1I, for one, embrace our anthropomorphic cat overlords.
- monospaced, on 05/17/2008, -4/+1lolcatz
- noahsawyer, on 05/17/2008, -3/+2Digg got spammed. Comments signed? Children's book?
- feebie, on 05/17/2008, -2/+4The first 10 comments, except for 2, are all fishy. If you look at their profiles, they all have the same job: Network/Internet Marketing.

- noahsawyer, on 05/17/2008, -3/+2bstory's About: 3-6-9 the goose drank wine the monkey chewed tobacco on the street car line the line broke the monkey got chocked and we all went to heaven in a little row boat
Child friendly?- bstory, on 05/17/2008, -4/+2It is a lyric from a popular song from the 70's.
I helped my son create his blog so that he could earn time to play video and computer game time by writing a blog. He is too young to learn programing like his older brothers and sister so he needed something to do.
You know I can't believe how many people at Digg have a problem with a child being offered encouragement to write more by receiving Diggs and comments. Sure some of the comments are from parents but who cares. If my 10 year old son can inspire others to read a book or get their children to read a book what is the big deal. If you are so offended by the exposure his review is receiving by this Digg then the answer is quite clear - don't click on his link and don't comment.- feebie, on 05/17/2008, -1/+3It's not a problem with a child reading an writing reviews and receiving encouragement. The problem here is that the comments are all obviously trolls/spam for this article to be dugg up. That's a no-no here at digg. This is a good post, we agree with you that it's great for children to be reading and doing things like this. But theres no need to have so many spammers digging it up to make it to the front page. We're all internet savvy here, we know spam when we see it.
- bstory, on 05/17/2008, -4/+2It is a lyric from a popular song from the 70's.
- wes00mertes, on 05/17/2008, -1/+3Good book review kid. I'll offer some constructive criticism. The first paragraph is just plot summary, which can probably be left out. We can get this from reading the book itself - or even just the back of the book. Expand on your 2nd paragraph and keep up the good work.
- joshuasawyer, on 05/17/2008, -3/+2Many of the people commenting on this story are probably being paid. Please join me in burying this story.
- bstory, on 05/17/2008, -4/+2Being paid - are you nuts? What would be the point?
Although it certainly looks strange that joshuasawyer and noahsawyer seem to be the ones slagging it.
The only thing you would be doing in that attempt would be to show a child that people can be total jerks - a lesson I wouldn't want for my son but I suppose people must be true to their nature.- joshuasawyer, on 05/17/2008, -1/+4When a lot of people are ending their comments by signing their names, something is wrong. Also, since when has a children's book been popular on digg? Dude you have too much time on your hands, working in some dumpy office building, making multiple accounts, and getting paid for it.
- noahsawyer, on 05/18/2008, -1/+3Hows about giving letting your child create their own digg account, letting them submit their own stories and see the joy they can experience themselves. With the odd comments (signed, I gotta get the book), your enthusiasm, replying to every comment, shunning diggers as child haters.. something seems strange about this post.
- bstory, on 05/17/2008, -4/+2Being paid - are you nuts? What would be the point?
- limevelyn, on 05/18/2008, -1/+4What a great idea on doing book reviews by a kid! And I am not paid to say this.
- paigeoneill, on 05/19/2008, -0/+2Wonderful book for children. Reccomend highly!
- bmontgome4, on 05/20/2008, -0/+2Shelly, this is great!
