- xrEE, on 03/22/2008, -2/+2Dugg down? Just sayin', i scratched mine, it sucks.
- candycrack, on 03/23/2008, -0/+1Already have the iPhone so I took the cash.
I fear for a scratch on my phone, amazingly even after being dropped it didn't scratch.

- shujin, on 03/22/2008, -0/+0Very beautiful image my friend. It makes one feel emotion in a way that only art can.
- candycrack, on 03/23/2008, -0/+0Sadly I can't take credit for the beautiful photo, only the color pallet that came from it.
- Smaulz, on 03/22/2008, -0/+1Congrats! Definitely snagged a few new favs from that list, yours among them.
- candycrack, on 03/23/2008, -0/+0Thank You. =)

- wormeyman, on 03/22/2008, -9/+3100 digs and the website is already down.
- Ganja420, on 03/22/2008, -10/+27COLOUR?!?!!? WTF I DONT UNDERSTAND PLZ TRANSLATE TO AMERICAN
- MightyMack, on 03/22/2008, -10/+2Colour means color in "american". Color means: the property possessed by an object of producing different sensations on the eye as a result of the way the object reflects or emits light.
Don't forget, http://colorlovers.com also works. - shujin, on 03/22/2008, -0/+7I suppose it's true when they say sarcasm doesn't translate well
- funk2eat, on 03/23/2008, -1/+0i farted

- MightyMack, on 03/22/2008, -0/+3The contest was so much fun! I hope we have more of these photo matching ones. Mine got honorably mentioned!
- candycrack, on 03/23/2008, -0/+0It certainly was, I can't wait to see what other types of contest we will see.
- jpaolini, on 03/22/2008, -2/+2Site's down, mirror anyone?

The Annoying Watermarks are really really annoying.- BTConan, on 03/22/2008, -0/+6Then that means they are a success.
- moletimer, on 03/22/2008, -0/+2So...should we like them now?
- Stennie, on 03/22/2008, -0/+1Well, of course. What matters most is people know who made it or where it came from, not that they be allowed to actually enjoy it!
- BTConan, on 03/22/2008, -0/+6Then that means they are a success.
- DCstewieG, on 03/22/2008, -1/+5Wow this looks like a great site. We're getting ready to paint a few rooms and I think I'll be hitting this for ideas!
- Syphon8, on 03/22/2008, -10/+5Dugg down for spelling colour wrong.
- valis, on 03/22/2008, -2/+9'Colour' is a correct spelling (in the UK and Canada, for example.) Try to be more tolerant about such minor things.
- Kyan, on 03/22/2008, -0/+1z
- Pyroteq, on 03/22/2008, -1/+5Pretty sure he's a Pom taking the piss mate.
- valis, on 03/22/2008, -0/+1I really need to pay better attention, don't I. *groan*

- altessa, on 03/22/2008, -2/+3I've always found ColourLovers to be a great inspiration. These winning photographs are truly awesome!
- thefirelane, on 03/22/2008, -3/+8I think I'm confused on what they were doing or being judged on
- diskit, on 03/22/2008, -0/+5Use of Color
- MightyMack, on 03/22/2008, -0/+6From the original contest post: Winners will be selected for the best palettes that captured the spirit / mood of the inspiration photo.
- thefirelane, on 03/22/2008, -1/+4ok... so again, what are these palettes for? I got that they find a picture... then what? Their hobby is selecting a handful of colors that go together?
- mkantor, on 03/22/2008, -0/+3They're great as inspiration for graphic design projects (I often use colourlovers palettes as starting points on my web sites). Also, someone above mentioned getting ideas for painting rooms in their house. It's just an awesome resource for everything colorful.
- thefirelane, on 03/22/2008, -1/+4ok... so again, what are these palettes for? I got that they find a picture... then what? Their hobby is selecting a handful of colors that go together?
- jacklemmon, on 03/22/2008, -6/+4dugg for spelling 'color 'right.
- bdbr, on 03/22/2008, -1/+1The Paris Metro picture was nice, but color-wise it was very subtle compared to the others (and when did the Metro become the Underground?) ;-)
- candycrack, on 03/23/2008, -0/+1The Metro is still the Metro, I just thought Paris Underground was a more unique name for the pallet.

- Versh, on 03/22/2008, -0/+9Why all this "color" vs. "colour" nonsense? Those words are just the category for what these sites and photographs are really in appreciation of: the variations in hue and tone characteristics. Or one could go further to discuss saturation, luminosity, scintillation-- but then again, you've stopped reading this comment halfway through the second sentence!
- upikupik123, on 03/22/2008, -1/+3amazing pictures.. there are all incredibly awesome.
- suzywang3000, on 03/22/2008, -2/+1shooped... berry...
- bakagaigin, on 03/22/2008, -0/+1The "we buy vintage" wall is in Atlanta...in little 5 points, I think.
- sanguinekane, on 03/22/2008, -0/+2I thought the Paris Underground and the Influenza photos were the best, though they're all amazing.
- smotpoker1, on 03/22/2008, -4/+1WHAT? look I went there to find a wallpaper but not a single one made me want to change out my old wallpaper so to me not art. just pictures.
- Stennie, on 03/22/2008, -0/+7LuckyOliver S LuckyOliver u LuckyOliver c LuckyOliver h LuckyOliver LuckyOliver p LuckyOliver r LuckyOliver e LuckyOliver t LuckyOliver t LuckyOliver y LuckyOliver LuckyOliver a LuckyOliver r LuckyOliver t LuckyOliver ! LuckyOliver
- vdog, on 03/22/2008, -2/+3While I agree that it's a shame that such petty art is buried under a landslide of watermarks, there are much more succinct ways of putting it.
- kurtwinter, on 03/22/2008, -0/+6The ***** watermark went above and beyond the call of twitching. I can't even see straight.
- LeMacMec, on 03/22/2008, -1/+1Paris Métro is, indeed, quite pretty. It's got its own little Parisian style with a somewhat classical air. Yet, at the same time, it's a very modern advanced system. You can get anywhere in Paris or its suburbs, making good time while traveling in relative comfort. The comfort comes from the exceptional upkeep and cleanliness, and also from the details that they take care of, like, for example, the performers, who are required by law to train for one year and be approved by the government before they can entertain in the Métro. The only real downsides are beggars and the crowded cars of the rush hours. Props to this competition for picking a beautiful winner.
- takkie, on 03/22/2008, -0/+1Though, the subject is miss spell :-)
I like a image, "Marple's dance".
But I sorrow for now is spring. If now is fall, it is seen more better. - saeche, on 03/22/2008, -0/+1I really like "snow & ember".
- Andyschism, on 03/22/2008, -0/+1Can someone explain this submission?
- nycmac247, on 03/23/2008, -0/+1In prepress and web there are pictures. In each picture there are a limited number of colors that are used. These colors, as a group, are called the "palette." In the same way that Dr. Suess and, say, the Mona Lisa use a different color palette every thing you see in prepress and web have their unique palettes and their selection has become a science, in a way.

- BrotherHero, on 03/23/2008, -1/+3LuckyOliver is a douche.
- roomaustin, on 03/23/2008, -0/+1Wow, some of those match my curtains.
- FranksValli, on 03/23/2008, -0/+3I understand the need for a watermark, but that was just excessive and blatantly annoying. Halfway down I noticed the "LuckyOliver Annoying Watermark" stamp on EVERY photo and just got pissed off and closed the window.
- Quantumsparrow, on 03/23/2008, -0/+2LuckyOliver's a stock photo site. Yeah, the watermark is goddamn annoying, but it's one of the few ways they have to keep people from "stealing" the pics they paid for.
But seriously. That's the worst watermark I've ever seen. - FrancisHC, on 03/23/2008, -1/+2Buried for irritating watermark on every photo. It seriously ruined my enjoyment of the art.
- beforefiction, on 03/24/2008, -1/+1no one else was unimpressed with these?
- cindysim212, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1I agree that some of these were unimpressive like "we buy vintage" - anyone could take that picture...but I liked the snow and ember one and the laundry by design one.
- tamugirl, on 03/28/2008, -0/+0My favs were ..Dahlia & Abstract Love
