- lionslair, on 12/16/2007, -2/+25Awesome photos.
- Dan137exe, on 12/16/2007, -1/+21I liked the picture were you could see the shockwaves around one of the Blue Angels jets. I was surprised to see how close to the water they flew.
- corevette, on 12/16/2007, -1/+17/me loves the bay area
- Fanrir, on 12/16/2007, -0/+11Did anyone else check out the video of the fly by over the water? Frigging amazing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7rAUu8djZ4 - Unclickable, on 12/16/2007, -3/+11it was great when combined with birds show http://yuxt.com/richardk/Birds_and_Planes
- EggNogIceCream, on 12/16/2007, -2/+9Great camera even the helicopter blades weren't blurred, and the visual distortion caused by the shock waves was amazing.
- max420, on 12/16/2007, -0/+7Both you and your dead grandma suck. Taking good, centered photo's of jets flying at near the speed of sound. Not easy. Douche.
- _skin_, on 12/16/2007, -2/+8The blue angels are sofa king unbelievable.
- manmademark, on 12/16/2007, -1/+7First off, Wow, this guy has amazing reflects to capture some of these shots (the two blue angels crossing for instance) and second off all these pics are terrific quality, some of the best air show pictures i've ever seen. Thanks for sharing, I'll be sure to pass them around school. The pilots & controllers will love it.
- Fanrir, on 12/16/2007, -0/+6From the page: "All shots taken w/ a Nikon D50 w/ Nikkor 70-300mm 1:4-5.6G lens; center spot metering and focus, jets shot w/ shutter priority at 1/2000sec."
- Poopoopants, on 12/16/2007, -0/+5Can't resist using motors?
- colifis, on 12/16/2007, -0/+5Great shot of Sean D Tucker in front of Alcatraz.
Nice shots, especially of the Blue Angels. It ain't easy shooting 600 mph jets with a long zoom. - goofygarber, on 12/16/2007, -2/+6Those really are awesome pictures and I'm impressed with the D50's performance at such high speeds.
+1 if comcast actually keeps his site up after being dugg. - Kopiok, on 12/17/2007, -1/+5Because this is freakin' awesome?
- max420, on 12/16/2007, -0/+4The person who took the pics states on the page that he recently upgraded to a state of the art camera. I imagine that explains the excellent image quality. As for the quality of the shots themselves, this man is an amazing photographer. Not easy to catch jets flying at 500+ mp/h with a long zoom.
Kudos! - stayzuplate, on 12/16/2007, -1/+5Imagine what an ***** you are for suggesting hunting deer with that gun. You must be a terrible shot and have no respect for the animals you hunt. Idiot.
- SleepingOrange, on 12/16/2007, -0/+3No.
- max420, on 12/16/2007, -1/+4Maybe the Bluegrass festival should move. Honestly, airshows is 1,000,000 times then Bluegrass. What is bluegrass anyway?
- inactive, on 12/16/2007, -0/+3No.
- Fizban140, on 12/16/2007, -0/+3No, you obviously didn't really think this through since jets have been constantly flying around the world every second for however many years.
- Brodels, on 12/16/2007, -0/+3This is a great photo with the moon in the background. Always nice to get a bit of luck making a great photo even better.

- noahhoward, on 12/17/2007, -1/+3Because education has its own budget? Because after we've paid for all their toys the least they could do is share?
- Remccs, on 12/16/2007, -2/+4the seagull plane is my favorite
- K4Lic0, on 12/16/2007, -0/+2No, it's cool.
- dmbdead41, on 12/16/2007, -0/+2Yea, BA pics. So close to the water, wonder if they made a wake?
- gimmezell, on 12/16/2007, -0/+2Digg effect and Comcast. Won't that equal some type of throttling?
- knucklebusted, on 12/16/2007, -0/+2Link doesn't work for me and it looks quite odd. http://home.comcast.net.nyud.net/~bzee1a/ I tried a few permutations without any luck.
- jun2san, on 12/16/2007, -0/+2I liked the picture of the bird. I've been to the airshow in jacksonville and there have been many times when I'd think a blue angel was coming but only turned out to be a bird.
- avktm, on 12/16/2007, -0/+2some great photos there. nice work
- rglover, on 12/16/2007, -0/+2I can't wait to move out to SF.
- zakool21, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1AKA, any cheap camera can do it.
It's not about the camera, it's about the photographer. His cheap equipment (compared to any pro stuff) shows that it's the photog, not the camera. - noahhoward, on 12/17/2007, -0/+1Better than EW
- inactive, on 12/16/2007, -0/+1since when the ***** are people supposed to respect an animal, animals are for eating, pulling sleds, etc. stfu
- furly37, on 12/16/2007, -0/+1Had to wait for the load but was it worth it. That was some amazing camera work.
- inactive, on 12/16/2007, -1/+2Edwards really needs to change their tail letters, having an F-22 with ED just doesn't look good
- inactive, on 12/16/2007, -0/+1no server having that many pics on a single page can be dugg and live to tell about it
- noahhoward, on 12/16/2007, -0/+1Dugg for the Coast Guard shots alone, favourite-ed for everything else.
- widgetmaker, on 12/17/2007, -0/+1Looking at one of their other photo collections, they appear to be female.
- Dreww40, on 12/16/2007, -0/+1...right
- noahhoward, on 12/17/2007, -1/+2Loser.
- mondoman89, on 12/17/2007, -0/+1Great pics, I saw the blue angels on sunday of fleet week this year. They are so awesome, just glad that my tax dollars go to something so cool!
- maffiou, on 12/17/2007, -0/+1I wonder what equipment was used... the crispness of some of the shots is just unbelievable... The phtographer is obviously using a massive zoom, but it has to be really bright to allow him to use the fastest exposures...
- rizzo2008, on 12/16/2007, -0/+1Thats crazy with the F-18 less than 20 ft above the water. The pilots are like machines!

( video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4785175348178531287 ) - maexus, on 12/16/2007, -0/+1I was in the area a couple years ago during fleet week. Saw the blue angels while on Alcatraz island. Got a great view of the back of jet, it was so loud. Just kept shooting but by the time I could get anything, I realized my camera has rewound. I didn't get any good shots
- noahhoward, on 12/17/2007, -0/+1I'd give in to 500HP and 45+mph on the water too.
- noahhoward, on 12/17/2007, -0/+1There wouldn't be any deer left... that said I did suggest the same sort of thing when I was 10 and realised my uncle had trouble with crows in the corn field.
But FYI: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M60_machine_gun - spargett, on 12/17/2007, -0/+1Here's one I snapped.
