- Robotsscareme, on 12/19/2008, -0/+6really? I mean .. i am no fan of robots but that is a little more than a rearrangement of junk.. A rearrangement of junk would simply be another pile or a bunch of junk scattered around.. but this is obviously made into something .. now weather YOU.. the uptight snobby art type would call it art.. thats a different story.. open your mind bud.. you will probably stop being so bored..
- MrSkills, on 12/19/2008, -0/+5Maybe it's because I'm British but when I read "rubbish robot" I thought it meant a "not-very-good robot".
- gelatina1996, on 12/19/2008, -0/+5It eats haaard driveeees... haaaard driveeeees...
- Theresa42J, on 12/19/2008, -0/+5It's a ZOMBIE ROBOT!
- bicyclethief, on 12/19/2008, -0/+5"Come with me if you want to recycle."

- honeybrass, on 12/19/2008, -2/+7Don't like it, bury it. I for one welcome our new trash robot ...........
- cwilsons, on 12/19/2008, -0/+4It's the death scene of the Giant Warrior from Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind- great film.
- cloudberries, on 12/19/2008, -0/+4Wouldn't you like to be a pepper too?
- Gwydion, on 12/19/2008, -0/+4This guy has a ***** up photostream...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/32895514@N02/30882002 ... - EvilFerret, on 12/19/2008, -1/+5Reminds me of The Iron Giant.
- Farmer77, on 12/19/2008, -0/+4Ehhhh....I don't think I'll mistake that robot for something from Terminator.
- hairyfro, on 12/19/2008, -0/+4Another picture from the same photostream... ow
http://www.flickr.com/photos/32895514@N02/31146447 ... - nem0, on 12/19/2008, -0/+3Looks more like a sculpture than a robot to me.
- tattertech, on 12/19/2008, -0/+3You could have picked your examples better. This had neither of those criteria.
- HeDiggMe, on 12/19/2008, -0/+3does that mean it eats microprocessors?
- spotmonk, on 12/19/2008, -0/+3Out of Terminator? Except... he's made of trash.. so Wall-e would kick his ass.
- lektroluv, on 12/19/2008, -0/+3Oooh, a sculpture made of garbage! I thought I was about to look at a crap robot. Like the one in Robocop 2 that blows its own head off.
- ncc74656m, on 12/19/2008, -0/+2Oooh, Stephanie! Nice software!
- ncc74656m, on 12/19/2008, -0/+2Creepy as F***!
- gelatina1996, on 12/19/2008, -0/+2Most likely no.
- Hodor, on 12/19/2008, -0/+2What you call "Official Art", I call artificfal.
-Buck65 - cloudberries, on 12/19/2008, -0/+2Jonny 5 is (not) Alive!
- gelatina1996, on 12/19/2008, -0/+2Looks like a Transformer.
- zadadka, on 12/19/2008, -0/+21 person was killed in that, and the driver took a (deserved) beating at the hands of the others...
- TheKrakenCometh, on 12/19/2008, -1/+3That's the W3 sculpture at the Eden Project in Cornwall - it's about 20' high and very impressive in real life.
Built as a statement for making electrical goods so that they can be broken down and recycled or reused (something the UK gov't doesn't endorse currently) - 1manshow, on 12/19/2008, -1/+3I for one see this for the first time. As for this being on the front page, doesn't that just mean people like this kind of stuff.
- Mujokan, on 12/19/2008, -0/+2Makes me think of Slick Henry from Mona Lisa Overdrive by William Gibson. (Can be found free online. Classic cyberpunk.)
- shpoffo, on 12/20/2008, -0/+2so true. digg got dumber for the holidays. to much melange in the cookies...
- KayinAngel, on 12/19/2008, -0/+2error. does not compute.
- DRC1, on 12/19/2008, -0/+2rubbish...
- yngtimmy, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1Who says Rubbish, anyways?
- sagar13, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1Wall E's dad....
- nickhaskell, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1Trashtron DESTROY.
- freezerburn666, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1the movie virus maybe, but not terminator...
- donkevin, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1refuse?? I don't think I've ever called trash/garbage that. I've seen it on "refuse bins", but not I, nor anyone I know, has ever called it refuse.
- DiggExchange, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1I don't believe it.
- Zedian, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1I concur.
- Azathothh, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1I, for one, welcome our new robotic overlord!
- inactive, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1exactly... but terminator's was good looking than this one
- cdigioia, on 12/19/2008, -0/+1I preferred Howl's Moving Castle.
- comeradealexi, on 12/19/2008, -1/+1His teeth are actally made out of old mice :P does the title mean that the robot is going to be used in a terminator film???
- zadadka, on 12/19/2008, -1/+1Same as.
From that, I also knew it was a Brit posting...my friends across the pond would have doubtless have said "refuse" or "trash"... - drgmdp, on 12/19/2008, -2/+2because robots (even fake ones) are cool
- Destaphenes, on 12/19/2008, -1/+1Thats neat, I need to make something like that....screw stamp collecting. : P
- dixhuit, on 12/19/2008, -2/+2I did bury it. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a cool robot. It's just that you see this kind of thing all over the place - Eden Project, Glastonbury Festival, Art Fairs, Exhibitions, Galleries, all over the internet.
I don't get why it qualifies for sharing on Digg. It's already everywhere. It's like submitting a photo of a wooden leg or a spilt drink or a Mother spanking her kid in the supermarket. - inactive, on 12/19/2008, -0/+0lol ive been to ST Austell many times and ive never been to see the eden project site. The statue looks good tho but id rather have a tour of the local brewery :P.
- goreyend, on 12/19/2008, -1/+1Thats exactly what the new movies look like.....Garbage
