- inactive, on 05/06/2009, -4/+247I don't know why but that felt like a video game somehow.
- kingtobo, on 05/06/2009, -5/+221Quite possibly the worst title on Digg. It's like an answer to a question no one had asked.
- paulg2000, on 05/05/2009, -1/+201Pretty damn cool. Not sure why but it made me feel like I was in a giant bathtub.
- mjfadeaway, on 05/06/2009, -22/+208Full video in HD: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Xstd3_0usI

- SpykeKelm, on 05/06/2009, -1/+97Dugg despite being very poorly titled.
- zslice, on 05/06/2009, -5/+82The key to these photos is the camera's max ISO of 6400 which means it can shoot with that kind of detail in the dark and is also why it kinda looks better than if you were standing on the ship seeing the same thing with your eyes.
If I did that with my crappy canon rebel, you would either get a black movie with some flickering lights or a blurry movie. - shazbot, on 05/06/2009, -1/+68I'm thinkin Arby's
- nigelmansell, on 05/06/2009, -0/+62a videogame based on super oil tanker navigating the Houston channels? where can i buy it

- Mossman85, on 05/06/2009, -4/+32There's a UFO 15 seconds in.
- finch42, on 05/06/2009, -3/+30Pretty cool, even if I did spend the entire clip humming the theme song to "The Naked Gun"
- Shazbuckle, on 05/06/2009, -0/+20That's not HD
- damntourists, on 05/06/2009, -0/+19this is pretty neat. it gives an interesting perspective to the time lapse clouds too.
- TheHerk, on 05/06/2009, -0/+19Ha, I digg. Apparently there are several of us interested in this game, in spite of the fact that, other than scenery being awesome, it would probably be pretty slow going.
- aaron4, on 05/06/2009, -0/+19waiting to see the pirates board the ship...
- ophello, on 05/06/2009, -3/+22And by nice you mean retarded!

- Dmilla16, on 05/06/2009, -0/+12i was thinking about driving around in the water in GTA4 at night.
- TheHerk, on 05/06/2009, -2/+14To bad you didn't intend it. It would have been funny. Thanks for pointing out that there was a pun though.
- fknbrianphoto, on 05/06/2009, -0/+12You guys are all wrong; If the boat was even slightly moving any slow shutter speed would make a blurry photo. There is no way these are anywhere in the seconds in regards to exposure time. It is possible they were taken at ISO6400. If you take a photo at ISO25600 then THAT looks like "dumping glitter" all over the photo. The noise on the D700 is so low that if you took a 12MP photo and sized it down to video resolution (much much lower than 12MP) you probably would not notice the noise at ISO6400 at all, plus he could have used noise reduction. ISO6400 noise is pretty much equivalent to ISO1600 on a consumer grade consumer (at least in comparison to the D70 I also own). My D700 is often used in low light situations where high ISO is required. My guess would be these photos were taken at least at ISO3200 with a shutter speed of at least 1/125, but unless the photographer reveals the EXIF we won't really know now, will we?
- TheHerk, on 05/06/2009, -0/+12Is that the edition where you can go faster or the one where you can do your taxes while you captain?
- trendyme, on 05/06/2009, -0/+12I got my swim trunks, and my flippy floppies.
- Gowey, on 05/06/2009, -0/+11You could always just read down to the second paragraph the photographer wrote...
"CAMERA SETTINGS were all manual to avoid surprises. The lens was a Nikon 17-35mm zoomed out to 17mm. White balance was set to tungsten, manual focus, iso 1600, 1/8 sec/ f/4. After the first part of the trip where the shore and docks are less dense I bumped the exposure up two stops to 1/4 sec and f/2.8." - Linake, on 05/06/2009, -0/+11Is that a question or are you just yelling at me?
- barnis, on 05/06/2009, -1/+12it wasnt a 6 second shutter they were taken in intervals...personally a blurry smoke picture would have been a bit annoying and would have made everything in motion pretty blurry too
- sunshineeyes, on 05/06/2009, -0/+10I was thinking Mario Kart
- inactive, on 05/06/2009, -0/+10Space pirates! Yarr!
- Dotcommer, on 05/06/2009, -4/+14Damn, the captain stepped on the gas so to speak once they got clear or all the ports.. haha. Awesome time lapse. HQ is nice.
