- frontaxle, on 11/15/2008, -0/+6anything to distract drivers away from the damn text messaging and Blackberries...
- AmyVernon, on 11/14/2008, -1/+5Makes it fun to cross the street!
- chiropam, on 11/16/2008, -0/+3I'm with you on the leopard - my favorite!
- gi0rgi0s, on 11/15/2008, -0/+2Poor use of the word utilitarianism in article. The usage makes no sense. Should have said utility.
- pandorazboxx, on 11/15/2008, -0/+2I like how the point is to make people aware that pedestrians should pay more attention to cars when they're crossing the street, then the one guy is just walking slowly across the road, looking down, reading the names.
- Thorlord, on 11/15/2008, -0/+2i find it funny that they are reading the names of people who have died at crosswalks, instead of looking at the street for other cars like they SHOULD be doing.
i thought it was a great idea. until they showed the video of people walking across it, then i realized just how retarded it was. - Pippah, on 11/15/2008, -0/+2I think its pretty cool, personally. But I have to agree with the article. It's a tad distracting for the pedestrian, who wants to look at the nifty designs he or she is walking over. But otherwise, a very cool idea. I wonder if it's very noticeable when driving.
- humanerror, on 11/15/2008, -0/+2That mistake hasn't not escaped me as well.
- isny, on 11/15/2008, -0/+2Man then goes on to prove that black is white and gets himself killed at the next zebra crossing.
- lowdose, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1love it, we need more of these.
- triscuitbiscuit, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1Yes, the zebra crossings haven't not stopped creative people from doing things with them...
Which in turn means that they have! Good job! - P1um, on 11/15/2008, -1/+2They should spray paint some crossing lines across a highway just to weird out drivers.
- thomasonfa, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1Agreed, I'm sure the next study will be that more people were hit crossing the street because that are not paying attention. Oh the irony!!!
- jmandawg, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1I'd be down if it was leopard print.
- kdlxbolt64, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1This is amazing. These crosswalks beat abby road. lol
- kingjaydub, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1Old, but still creative. Dugg... again.
- kelmaster1, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1It's very scary that people text and drive...
- inactive, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1In my city (Montreal) cross walks are meaningless to the drivers, so it wouldn't weird them out. Pedestrians and drivers alike theorize they were put their by extraterrestrials as a sort of universal bar code (their real intended purpose).
- mmittimm, on 11/15/2008, -0/+1Every time there's a weburbanist link on here I digg it because they're awesome enough to put everything on one page. And because they have some fantastic content.
- dollar0dot02, on 11/15/2008, -0/+0Possibly the guy wants to have his name added to the list.
- NikoKun, on 11/15/2008, -1/+1Yeah... except they Never zoomed in on the one that actually looked like Zebras, from a decent angle.
