- Salesti, on 10/02/2008, -0/+2My first thought when I saw those "warning" sites a few months back was "GREAT!" But it looks like they're not so useful after all, and what an insult to the women who HAVE been used and abused. Being the victim in an abusive relationship is almost indescribably horrible -- so if some self-absorbed, vindictive girls are going to go psycho post-breakup, EVERYONE loses.....especially the people who HAVE been truly harmed, and the falsely accused.
- AThoughtOrTwo, on 10/02/2008, -0/+2I think that web sites should, at least, allow a rebuttal. To be able to say, "Hey, I am not a rapist, serial killer or lawyer!" To me, it's part of the 'redress of grievances'. Sure, limit space, but ALLOW the rebuttal.
Looked at another way, what could they possibly have to lose with rebuttals? On the site mentioned in the article 'girlfriends rate their exboyfriends' - it would bring the males to come to their site. More hits = more money.
To send a letter like they did threatening extreme action is ridiculous and someone, somewhere MUST contest the policy.
