- juniorb, on 03/10/2009, -0/+11Interesting article, but am I the only one who gets really annoyed by Time ending practically every paragraph with a link to another article? Put related articles in a sidebar or something. At least for me, it seriously impedes the flow of reading.
- hollywoodphony, on 03/10/2009, -0/+8If you're too lazy to read this article, let me summarize: "and it turns out that what Shakespeare actually looks like is... exactly what we already thought he looked like all along!"
- Dumbledorito, on 03/10/2009, -3/+8Bards suck. Ask any d20 player.
- borez, on 03/10/2009, -0/+5We've been trolling this train of thought for years:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portraits_of_Shakespe ... - koob, on 03/10/2009, -0/+4do you mean Marlowe? i think so.
- koob, on 03/10/2009, -0/+3Imagine being a member of an old wealth Irish family that just happens to have a bunch of old paintings laying around.
- bobcolt, on 04/25/2009, -0/+2So all the other portraits we see aren't true?
I hope these quotes are true and spoken by Shakespeare only :)
http://quotesbyauthors.blogspot.com/2009/04/willia ... - rampage88, on 03/11/2009, -0/+2Guess he had hair, unless he told the artist to paint some in. Oldschool photoshop.
- Krick555, on 03/10/2009, -3/+5Can't be a portrait of him at 46......unless he used a little Just for Men.....Thoust recieves no Play for Mr. Gray..................
- reddfox321, on 03/10/2009, -0/+2cleric ftw!
- Dumbledorito, on 03/10/2009, -0/+2Well, what did you expect? Shakespeare?
- snullbug, on 03/10/2009, -0/+2I'm not sure whether you're serious but in case you are, there is no wood carving, the painting is on a WOOD PANEL.
- rda1441, on 03/11/2009, -0/+1Way to take a joke....suffering from some type of mental disability?
- inactive, on 03/10/2009, -1/+2Reminds me of the guy who played him in that Twilight Zone episode.
- CCoe, on 03/11/2009, -0/+1Well - of course we all know that ugly people die because they are ugly. I mean, this is a well proven, 12 year old playground bully tested fact. But I think that in this case he's dead because it is ***** 445 YEARS SINCE HE WAS BORN, YOU FOOL.
- Remelox, on 03/12/2009, -0/+1I know plenty of people who haven't gone gray by 46 or at all. There are hairs that don't gray. One of the purposes of clone hair is to clone hair that does not turn gray to use for hair replacement. I don't give a damn if my hair is gray or not. I am 41 and most of my gray hair is on my face. About half of the hair that is gray on my head has been gray since I was 16.
- Coinspinner, on 03/10/2009, -0/+1The Earl of Oxford is indeed a strong candidate.
- thievery1017, on 03/10/2009, -0/+1edward de vere. da bard.
- Coinspinner, on 03/10/2009, -0/+1Well, in his lifetime he actually spelled it oddly, sometimes closer to "Marley".
But in fact I just screwed up.
To be serious, I don't know who it was. But I'm with Mark Twain, I know it wasn't the dude from Stratford. And not just because the Stratford dude was an old man when he supposedly began writing. - SebastianHGZ9, on 04/25/2009, -0/+1http://marlowe-shakespeare.blogspot.com/2009/04/st ...
Really challenges Prof. Wells horse-and-pony show. - Manchildcartoon, on 03/10/2009, -2/+2Alright.
- fanboy15, on 03/10/2009, -1/+1do you mean Marlow?
- ArchetypeRyan, on 03/10/2009, -2/+2Reminds me of Antiques Roadshow. Imagine coming across one of these in your attic.
- petorma, on 03/10/2009, -0/+0Indeed, I think the person means Marlowe. Unless "Marley" was some Dickensian joke.
- fanboy15, on 03/10/2009, -3/+2This article was poorly written. Some of the sentences were very confusing, and some did not make sense at all.
- hawk196, on 03/10/2009, -2/+1wow all this and there isnt a photo of the wood carving? not even a likeness?
wtf man. - 13maximus13, on 03/10/2009, -5/+2i'd hit that
- rda1441, on 03/10/2009, -3/+0Kinda ugly...no wonder he's dead.
- tillerman00, on 03/10/2009, -4/+1I can't tell if I'm skeptical or just don't give a *****.
- JollyGoodfellow, on 03/10/2009, -4/+4Looks like a sissy to me.
- Coinspinner, on 03/10/2009, -4/+2The real bard is most likely Christopher Marley.
- ThinkBox, on 03/09/2009, -18/+5Yep... gay.
