- GauteHauk, on 11/11/2009, -4/+12A good example of art. Taking the average and doing something that makes people question how they see it. The picture is fairly average when it's not flipped 180°. But when it is flipped the 180°, it's really cool to see how it changes your interpretation of the image.

The guy's head in the top left is in the place of the shadow's head, the bicycle shadow fills the negative space in the cluster of paintings in the top right nicely (decisive moment right there, for anyone who's a fan of Cartier-Bresson), which is also a mess of 2D planes, which reinforces the disorienting angle of the photo, etc etc etc. It might not be something you put in a gallery or will get published, but it's certainly an interesting photo if you take the time.

There's a big difference between poor design and minimalism.
Something can lack flair but be functional and attractive. Reddit is not attractive, nor is the interface of a very functional design.
