- johnnick, on 08/28/2008, -28/+242The same thing will happen at the Republican Convention, they'll just be in the M4M category.
- inactive, on 08/28/2008, -4/+64so your saying there is a correlations between sex and politicians.
- Wreckage, on 08/29/2008, -3/+52This is just what happens in any town that Bill Clinton is visiting.
Cigar sales go up as well..... :-P - inactive, on 08/29/2008, -6/+51Republicans just have a wider stance...
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -1/+40Anyone else find it creepy that the person who wrote this had an "average" for the number of sex wanted ads in Denver prior to the DNC? Makes you wonder what he's doing in his free time....
- dty2010, on 08/29/2008, -2/+32Why are people writing about this? I thought it would be kind of obvious that if there are more people in an area, there will be more people looking for sex in that area.
- NewMediAroused, on 08/28/2008, -16/+43No, at the Republican Convention the spike will come in Erotic Services... Only Democrats get casual sex without paying for it.
- inactive, on 08/28/2008, -3/+28Casual Encounters baby!
- RyeBrye, on 08/29/2008, -0/+23The reporter on CNet makes it sound like he was browsing casual encounters just for the news...
- skintigh, on 08/29/2008, -8/+30Don't be such a fool. Republicans can't work the "series of tubes" so why would they bother learning craigslist when they already have a sexual encounter infrastructure at local park and airport bathrooms?
- Hellman109, on 08/29/2008, -6/+26About the same happened here in Australia when the Catholic world youth day was in Sydney...
- aresef, on 08/29/2008, -3/+22Hey, that's why it's (Senator Larry) Craig's List.
- cbodall, on 08/29/2008, -3/+18they're all from one person
Bill is in town - neonoodle, on 08/29/2008, -1/+14No, there's a correlation with sex and out-of-state trips. This is the equivalent of the Olympic City being a sex haven, and I'm sure it's the same for any convention anywhere.
- jheimark, on 08/29/2008, -1/+13Likely the spike in ads is a result of the massive number of people that descended upon Denver for the convention, and not a comment on the promiscuity of Democratic supporters. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw the same thing during the Republican convention.
- manfrin, on 08/29/2008, -0/+12I'm sorry you're so closeted.
- skintigh, on 08/29/2008, -1/+12Ok ok, I admit I was joking: some Republicans can work "the internets." But I stand by the rest. In fact, I have gone on record several times and will again: if you follow any passionately-anti-gay Republican around for a week and you'll find out who his gay lover is. I've lost track of how many Republican senators, congressmen, governors, etc. have rallied against gays only to be outed as one.
- mlwarrior, on 08/29/2008, -5/+15"when tens of thousands of people had arrived"
It's because thousands of people have arrived. You're a dolt if you can't read into the statistics. - samimnot, on 08/29/2008, -6/+15Over a hundred thousand people went to Denver this week....and there are 338 more ads. LMFAO....this is such a non-story. With everything going on, Declan McCullagh couldn't find anything more interesting to write about?
- SEANWOOKIE, on 08/29/2008, -3/+12How Christian of you.
- lemonloser, on 08/29/2008, -7/+16DNC during the day, casual sex during the evening. sounds like a plan for me.
- johnnick, on 08/28/2008, -4/+13If that were the case, Larry Craig would've been arrested for solicitation rather than lewd conduct.
- NecroSexy, on 08/29/2008, -7/+16BREAKING: Humans engage in sexual activity--and like it!
- EtherGnat, on 08/29/2008, -2/+10As long as it distracts them from screwing me, I don't care who Republicans bump nasties with. It's their hypocrisy that annoys people.
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -6/+13Doubt it, that's more of an abstinence only thing.
- JohnnyMarr, on 08/29/2008, -4/+11Successful troll is successful...
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -2/+9Lunatic.
- nopRT, on 08/29/2008, -5/+10What do you expect from non-POWs?
- rheaume, on 08/29/2008, -0/+6Wow, this is what its like to be a closeted gay man in the republican party eh? Why dont you run for office so you can ***** over the men that you over-*****?
- rheaume, on 08/29/2008, -0/+6No, they either bang some dude in the airport bathroom or diddle their Stepford wives once a year when the pool boy is on vacation
- natastna2, on 08/29/2008, -1/+7I don't really understand why Americans spend so much time bickering over democrats or republicans. There's plenty enough wrong with both to think starting over would be a good idea. It seems to me that this engineered divide just keeps the retarded masses from contemplating why you can only have two sides to a debate.
- metalgel, on 08/29/2008, -1/+7the politicians pay to get *****, what goes around comes around!
- jgzman, on 08/29/2008, -2/+8Statistician?
- marshallk, on 08/29/2008, -1/+6here's the search of Minn. personals for RNC http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/search/ppp?query ... Seems pretty straight forward, same thing.
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -1/+6***** off you Republican conservative ***** job
If it was up to you people, the Earth would be flat, blacks would be exterminated and we'd all be wearing dresses and singing Bible ***** - zombies187, on 08/29/2008, -1/+6It was an insult to Christianity. The poor bastards have to put up with thacher being with them.
- asskicker32, on 08/29/2008, -8/+12What? We democrats love our random hookups... You dont?
- coheedcollapse, on 08/29/2008, -1/+6Abnormally large amount of people + far away from anyone they know = a few of them are going to be having casual sex. Jesus christ. I can't believe people are turning this into a political issue.
- ELCad, on 08/29/2008, -1/+6All them frisky C-Span people.
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -0/+5get your homophobic ass off the internet please.
- djholybolt, on 08/29/2008, -0/+4This one is by far the best
http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/cas/817458137.ht ... - GratefulGroover, on 08/29/2008, -5/+9I predict a lot of "wide stances" at the urinals during the RNC, craiglist is for commies!
- Vidalsassgirlie, on 08/29/2008, -7/+11The man just has a wide stance!
- NoUse, on 08/29/2008, -0/+4Hey these are Democrats. We aren't going to just go an airport bathroom for anonymous sex. We go to the Internet!
- Hrodrik, on 08/29/2008, -0/+4And dry cleanings.
- Thater, on 08/29/2008, -4/+8Digg isn't your personal Penthouse Forum... post your fantasies elsewhere
- alricsca, on 08/29/2008, -0/+4LOL, going up by the moment. Interestingly, while there are a few hits for m4m and w4w and even 1 for w4m by far there most are m4w. What happened to those exalted values?
- Hrodrik, on 08/29/2008, -1/+5Yeah, educated people buy condoms.
- DforSpiD, on 08/29/2008, -3/+7who would a thought?
- tnsimonson, on 08/29/2008, -0/+3“You say ‘ecstasy-fueled sex tourist hellhole’ like it’s a bad thing.”
