Sculptures Made Entirely of Sharpened Pencils (PICS)

reubenmiller.typepad.com — The sculptures are made by drilling holes in one inch long sections of pencils, and sewing them together using a sculptural beading technique called 'peyote' stitch. Includes an interview with the artist.

    • freehunter, on 01/22/2008, -1/+8All the ones I saw unsharpened were actually sharpened, but turned backwards, so the sharpened side is on the inside. There were also some sharpened with the point cut off, but it's still sharper than the average unsharpened pencil, so they are technically sharpened.
