    Pertinent words: What defines the decade must be the meteoric rise of China, notably in its economic and political prowess, not terrorism, not the wars.

    The government package to stimulate its domestic economy seems bearing fruit, for China appears to be the only nation to have been spared by the drastic impact of the nasty global crisis.

    The once sleepy dragon has at last fully awakened.
