- jascination, on 07/25/2008, -25/+428You.
Yes, you.
Did you just digg this?
If so, was it because you thought it was funny? Or was it just because it was from xkcd?
Please, try to be discerning; it will make this site all the more enjoyable for everyone. - kinseyincanada, on 07/25/2008, -26/+210sweet since im only the 3rd comment im sure to get lots of diggs, right guys?
- borninda818, on 07/25/2008, -14/+124Not Funny...Dugg!
- AAK15, on 07/25/2008, -29/+122***** COMIC SUCKS!
- Dopeness, on 07/25/2008, -11/+97I read that comic 3 times thinking that I was missing something deeper and more intellectually funny.
Ultimately, I realized the comic just sucks. - inactive, on 07/25/2008, -8/+91http://www.*****.com/
- xtinamo, on 07/25/2008, -6/+88RIP Calvin and Hobbes
- Slade605, on 07/25/2008, -9/+67They are faxing (using a cat 4? phone cable) and by faxing it they are putting the ethernet(cat5) inside it, instead of rewiring the whole city/houses.
In other words they are replacing an old pipe by just putting the new pipe inside it.
I found it rather amusing to be honest. - JDMM71, on 07/25/2008, -5/+59Right.
- feureau, on 07/25/2008, -7/+48Here's the source code to this comic:

(rpm is Randall Patrick Munroe)
rpm: the grant consists of a banana and a piece of string
relsqui: is it a fresh banana?
rpm: depends on USPS times
creature: How long is the piece of string?
relsqui: is it long enough that you can hold one end and mail me the other?
relsqui: that would be fun
relsqui: thread the mail system
rpm: ...
rpm: !!
rpm: wait
rpm: awesome way to run private network cables
relsqui: why settle for a VIRTUAL private network
rpm: YES - jemka, on 07/25/2008, -4/+36I was wondering how such a simple cartoon could confuse me so well. Can someone even attempt to explain what that cartoon means?
- inactive, on 07/25/2008, -3/+321. A magician performs a trick where he begins pulling a seemingly infinite strand of ribbon from a sleeping fax machine.
2. Meanwhile, a flying trash can is yelling at a plant.
3. Later, a chick who saw the show tries to do the trick at home, but fails.
Why is this so hard to understand? - Xocide, on 07/25/2008, -2/+28Actually I buried this, because its not funny.
- webjac, on 07/25/2008, -11/+33Can someone explain this to me... didn't get it at all
- mystdragon333, on 07/25/2008, -5/+28It's a good thing all of these comments are being dugg down. Now I can finally express my love for cross dressing and nobody will know.
- Xocide, on 07/25/2008, -1/+22YES
- Zipko, on 07/25/2008, -3/+24This one I think actually is amusing, unlike the last 10 times xkcd made frontpage.
I can't wait until the day one of these doesn't make FP, and then someone submits a blog post about how xkcd didn't make digg and then that blog post will get frontpaged and the entire digg site will disappear from the face of the internets. - dougmwpsu, on 07/25/2008, -10/+31Kevin, can you add an XKCD category?
- rpebble, on 07/25/2008, -4/+24Thanks to the magic that is the recommendation engine, I can see all three submissions of this page immediately next to each other. Now I certainly don't know which one to digg, if any.
- Razster, on 07/25/2008, -9/+28Did not digg, instead I buried it because it was bland and not funny...
- WVUChrisF, on 07/25/2008, -9/+25Its not even funny.
- Trax91, on 07/25/2008, -3/+19Me?
*looks around*
I don't who you are but I'm just passing by. - blueplanet, on 07/25/2008, -8/+22WHY ARE PEOPLE DIGGING THIS? buried
- SEANWOOKIE, on 07/25/2008, -7/+20If you people really care that much if an article gets to the front page or not, then I must say the internet really is serious business.
- Hotrox, on 07/25/2008, -11/+25Is the joke that there is no joke?
Buried. - adasha, on 07/25/2008, -3/+14!
- netneutrality, on 07/25/2008, -4/+15It's funny once you get it. But even the image title text didn't explain it to me.
- Myonosken, on 07/25/2008, -1/+12Why the ***** should we need to go on to google and search for the ***** punchline?
- inactive, on 07/25/2008, -4/+14Why the ***** do we still have ***** who go around calling people nerds for knowing worth a damn in any field?
Come on you ***** ignorant retards, STFU and get off of the Internet. Trust me, just because you call someone a nerd doesn't mean you have more of a life - On the contrary, spending even 3 seconds to type that says a lot about how much your time is worth. - juliandunbar11, on 07/25/2008, -2/+13( . Y . )
- bundwallah, on 07/25/2008, -10/+21That was utter *****. Not funny at all. Buried.
- emalen, on 07/25/2008, -13/+22Are the fax machines sleeping?
- mystdragon333, on 07/25/2008, -12/+21Tell the truth, you dugg it before you looked at it, didn't you?
- terrenceisdaman, on 07/25/2008, -2/+11your comment is funnier than the last 4 xkcd comics submitted
- Brennan, on 07/25/2008, -0/+9And it's not our fault that you're too immensely obsessed with going on along with whatever everyone else does to comprehend that some xkcd's just aren't funny.
- IG64, on 07/25/2008, -2/+11I've read them all and laughed at most of them.
- inactive, on 07/25/2008, -2/+10XKCD has become the new bland for me. Maybe I'm just not the target audience, but the earlier strips are a lot more funny the these.

Why is this so hard to understand? - darny, on 07/25/2008, -6/+13not his best
- scabbers, on 07/25/2008, -6/+13*bangs head against desk*
- skipdog172, on 07/25/2008, -5/+12yeah we should have to read all these unfunny little chat convos to get a joke. no wait, we shouldn't. this just wasn't funny. sorry.
- Xocide, on 07/25/2008, -0/+7I have to agree, it sucks.
- foolishfool, on 07/25/2008, -11/+17I don't get it! Can someone please explain whats going on here?
- Chairboy, on 07/25/2008, -0/+6I disagree with your assessment of the strip, but I don't think you should be down-dugg for expressing an unpopular opinion, so I've voted you up.
I agree that XKCD strips should not be submitted/upvoted simply because it's XKCD, it should only happen when the person submitting/voting thinks that it's really the cat's pajamas.
I happened to find this one terribly clever, because like just about everyone else in my generation, there was one night when I was tired and working on something and in the back of my head, I had a vague plan to download a pizza when I was done. It's one of those semi-conscious ideas that doesn't survive actual concentration, but can float around unmolested by critical thought for a while until then. Kinda like Racheal Ray on the Food Network. She seems pleasant until you actually watch her show, then you realize that she's a talentless hack. - beerncheese, on 07/25/2008, -1/+7I know the background now!
Boy, is this one crap. Buried. - xsecretfiles, on 07/25/2008, -1/+7Ya, thanks
I Didn't get it until now..kinda - netneutrality, on 07/25/2008, -1/+7One word on the whole page and it's got Google Analytics tracking me?!
