- moocowrat, on 06/23/2008, -1/+14Woohoo! Alright! Articrafts! Back where they belong! Yeah! *falls asleep*
- wonderbriefs, on 06/23/2008, -1/+6Peru's arts and crafts are returned?
- cdigioia, on 06/23/2008, -1/+3Ah OK, according to Webster "articraft" is not a word. Which makes sense, since it sounds a bit retarded.
- Wartyboskfapped, on 06/23/2008, -2/+1You had to look it up to figure that out?
Article poster is not a native English speaker.- fadetoone, on 06/23/2008, -1/+2No excuse when the correct word is used in the description and in the title of the source site.
- cdigioia, on 06/23/2008, -3/+2Since there are millions of words in the English language, yes, I did spend the 10 seconds to look it up to be sure.
- Wartyboskfapped, on 06/23/2008, -1/+3"Since there are millions of words in the English language..."
There are only approximately 172,000 words in current use, and approx 47,000 obsolete words, plus about 10,000 derivative words.
You really should have looked *that* up to avoid sounding like a complete *****.

- loneraven, on 06/23/2008, -7/+4So... 60 diggs in 17 hrs and 11 mins and six comments (including this one), and it's on the front page?
Wow. I'll never understand.- jotate, on 06/23/2008, -1/+5Have to take into account the variety factor of the algorithm. How many digg users go checking out the upcoming articles for the Arts & Culture section? Lower user hits, lower threshold for front page. Digg is an equal opportunity social medium.
- subterfuge, on 06/23/2008, -1/+1that sounds dumb to me. i don't care about an article about the chicago film show if an article just came out about how they just figured out how to mass-manufacture indefinitely long carbon nanotubes. the most popular articles should be on the front page.

- dirtyhand, on 06/23/2008, -1/+3I like to think that the latest Indiana Jones movie was responsible for this
- ErikHarrison, on 06/23/2008, -2/+2Harrison phone in a favor from Chuck Norris.
- MattFid, on 06/23/2008, -1/+8Articrafts = ancient sock-puppets?
- badbyte80, on 06/23/2008, -1/+11"They belong in a museum!"
- DiscoLando, on 06/23/2008, -0/+3You know, it's simultaneously frustrating yet reassuring to know other people think of the things you want to say.
- godfly, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2something is wrong with the kerning. I read "Aircraft" and made me think of these http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:zpiy98dMt7sNmM ...
- franklymister, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1It's not the kerning. It's the bizarre spelling.
- zantos420, on 06/23/2008, -5/+1sorry but that was kind of lame
- aceakm, on 06/23/2008, -2/+11Buried, just like the "articrafts" should be.
- mynameisjonas, on 06/23/2008, -1/+4Now if only Chile would return part of our National Library, ancient documents, and our old battleship The Huascar. We are all friends now, why cant they return it?
- Wartyboskfapped, on 06/23/2008, -1/+3Doesn't fit in an envelope.
- legendxx, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2The rest of the world calls that an ironclad.
- NJank, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2address unknown.
- ChileanGoD, on 06/23/2008, -1/+1You can have the documents ...but... we love our war trophy, el Huascar. :(.
We keep it because our hero captain, Arturo Pratt, jumped to it when the Esmeralda was sinked. He died on the Huascar that day with some of his officers.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hu%C3%A1scar_%28ship% ...- mynameisjonas, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2in the same token, our own hero Captain, Admiral Miguel Grau and his crew also died in the ship when he ordered it to be sunk. I never knew though of El Huascar's role in the Chilean Civil War. You learn something new every day.
- mejusthavin, on 06/23/2008, -0/+4One of my best friends lives in Lima and right across the street from his home is an archaeology dig. It's a modest home in a modest neighborhood.. He has probably 30 pre-Incan relics literally collecting dust on bookshelves in his home like bobble-head dolls and touristy shot glasses. Apparently it's rather common there to go out and pocket these items. AND they are not all that rare in Peru.
One other note the museums in Lima are not really well kept and I hope that these are taken care of.- logotype702, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1That's illegal, your friend should be put in jail.
- MendotaLee, on 06/23/2008, -0/+6FINALLY
- sysconnected, on 06/23/2008, -2/+8I'm PERUVIAN and i'm glad to hear this.
- NuFadZoo, on 06/23/2008, -1/+2cool macaroni pictures.
- atb12688, on 06/23/2008, -3/+1I read aircraft as well. My first thought was WTF? Chavez took their aircraft away from them lol?
- PRlME, on 06/23/2008, -2/+1site built with Flex -=)
- cerejota, on 06/23/2008, -1/+2People, the headline is obviously a Bushism.
In there with "Decider" and "Misunderestimated". - diggawut, on 06/23/2008, -2/+1I thought the story was going to be about stolen snowmobiles.
- fseminario, on 06/23/2008, -2/+1I read aircraft as well. Im Peruvian and im currently living peru and i dont give a ***** about this. Peru is got more important things to try to recover like patriotism and respect for the home land. Damn government is letting the tourist industry rape our lands. No balance.
- logotype702, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2I am peruvian too, and I DO NOT AGREE WITH YOU...
- gipester, on 06/23/2008, -3/+0Buried for inability to splle.
- ElAssoWipo, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2Now it's the U.K.'s turn.
Give back what you stole in Greece and Egypt. Then we'll empty the Louvres to make place for French art, that should give you a wall's worth. - evilregis, on 06/23/2008, -1/+1Aristocrats?
- subterfuge, on 06/23/2008, -0/+4FTV: the germans voluntarily returned the artifacts, but the americans had them confiscated.
i don't know if that's funny, sad, or angering - LoudMusic, on 06/23/2008, -2/+1What a bizarre post title.
Anyway, this is good. It doesn't mean they will only be seen by people who go to Peru. I think quite the opposite. Lots of cultures box up their historical items and ship them around the world. There are often traveling Egyptian exhibits in historical museums. This gives a modern society the ability to better piece together their historic culture and present it to the rest of the world. - TKn00b, on 06/23/2008, -1/+1Indy?
- ObeseSnake, on 06/23/2008, -1/+1Worse title ever.
- Slovenian6474, on 06/23/2008, -0/+2Articrafts: Ancient Incan DC-10s
- cerejota, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1Lord Xenu, FTW!
- mejusthavin, on 06/23/2008, -1/+1"That's illegal, your friend should be put in jail."
Is it? Should they all go to jail? They aren't the only ones that have these. What if he found them in his yard? I have friend in Cuzco and have an Inca Stone in his yard, he owns it. - cspy, on 06/23/2008, -0/+0Nice, and i downloaded the video with NetVideoHunter add-on: http://netvideohunter.com
- Rubab, on 06/23/2008, -0/+1For title ? it hit front page.. or your comments made it hitting front page, aircraft--articrafts--anticrafts..
