- laroquod, on 12/10/2008, -1/+0This makes perfect sense. MP3 players and broadband are far more relevant to kids today than beavers. Even 'celebrity' is a word that will socially serve you way better than the names of animals. What, are we gonna train kids in the language of pioneers and then throw them out into the modern techno-world? A dictionary is a survival tool -- make it relevant. I applaud Oxford for their flexibility.
