For one, he has yet to take office and I can't think of one accomplishment (or failure) of his that would define him; certainly, what he is about to do as President will be far more significant than anything he has done in the Senate. Lets reserve the idolization of Obama until his Presidency has past and when we actually have something to judge him on.

However, I'm afraid of the trend of immortalizing this man without him having done one act as president. It's moving far beyond what a healthy electorate should do. No matter who is in office, we should be questioning their decisions and challenging them to achieve. When you become part of a fan worshiping group, you lose perspective and the ability to challenge those decisions.

Look, He's just a man. He is not going "change the world", "Change America", Change My Home State" Change my underwear. The only thing that has changed is the color of our President's skin and I thought that was something that was not supposed to come into play (remember the whole Dont vote for the first black preisdent, vote for the next US President).
