- scout29c, on 10/27/2009, -0/+3Painters have been doing this for some time. When I read that Vermeer was using a camera obscura in the 17th century, suddenly his most famous painting of people standing next to a windows made sense. The use of light in the portraits made the obscura obvious.
Rockwell just used the latest technology to construct his pictures. Today, someone who knows his Photoshop can render a jpg that make a pictures or a composite of pixs look as if it was painted.

What I meant to imply is that Normal Rockwell was a racist piece of *****, and those two works you posted (which he created near the latter end of his life) are some of the worst examples.
