Keep Your Jesus Off My Personal Life
theinformationparadox.com — According to sometimes snarky comments from Christians when the topic of gay marriage comes up, “God made Adam and EVE, not Adam and STEVE”. Bullshiat!

- GrandmaSheila, on 05/16/2008, -2/+5No gawd, and no "sin" for what consenting adults do, or who they love. These people need to mind their own ***** business. They obviously have way too much time on their hands, and would do better to heed their gawd of love, who instructed them to care for the poor and afflicted, and get their faces out of people's bedrooms and private lives. The fact that they demand LAWS to jam their sick fantasies down everybody else's throat is something no free people can tolerate, or should.
I'll settle for them just shutting up. - razorsedge555, on 05/16/2008, -3/+8The state needs to stay the hell out of people's lives. Marriage should be a civil union, nothing more. The same thing goes for the adherents to this 2000 year old cult. Practice your religion and stay the hell out of other people's lives, so we don't have to waste court time on this *****.
- EatingPie, on 05/17/2008, -0/+1Just pointing out that you're contradicting yourself.
The state, which "should stay the hell out of peoples' lives" is the very entity creating marriage as a "civil union." And the very purpose of marriage for gays is that they receive the state and federal benefits (tax, insurance, etc.) currently reserved only to heterosexual marriages.

- AManWithNoName, on 05/17/2008, -3/+1God must be one hell of a sick bastard to endorse Bush like he did. Either God's a dick, or he doesn't exist. Sorry folks, but that's the truth. The Flying Spaghetti Monster, however, there's a deity I can get behind.
- AManWithNoName, on 05/17/2008, -2/+5This is yet another situation where the 'moral majority' thinks they have the right to be dictators. If you guys don't like the way the country was made (Freedom of speech and religion and all that fun stuff) then GTFO.
- Superperson, on 05/17/2008, -1/+5I thought God loved all of his creatures?
No? Just the straight ones? Okay. - possiblyneil, on 05/17/2008, -3/+1Keep you Jesus out of there its discusting.
- EatingPie, on 05/17/2008, -0/+1God loves gays, and accepts them for who they are. It is indeed a key element to the Gospel.
That doesn't mean homosexuality is not a sin. But if God refused to love and accept any sinful people, there wouldn't be any accepting at all... everyone is sinful regardless of sexual orientation. The good news -- the gospel -- is that God so loved EVERYONE, that that he sent his son.
The church has done a super ***** job at loving and caring about gays -- look at Superperson's comment, and that illustrates modern Christianity's failure right there. It is, for some reason, the de fact "worse sin ever" (which is NOT how God views it). I also realize homosexuality is more difficult because it has to do with sexuality, which is a *key* aspect to our persona. All the more need for compassion, kindness, love... rather than the condemnation we so often hear from Christian circles.
