- Alkali, on 05/05/2009, -0/+71. In my experience forest moss smells quite earthy and fresh, and is very faint
2. Mold is a fungus not moss, and moss has slight antibacterial/fungal properties
3. Pollen is produce by seed plants not moss, you should up the moss reproduction cycle
4. Spores would be a concern, but since there is no wind in a apartment, and moss spores are actually rather large, I don't think it would be a significant problem; no more so than house plants any way.
5. I doubt there are practical applications as most people would probably think like you.

It's a Digg post and I'm lazy, so I'm not going to put a bunch of work in re-finding closer shots of the moss-covered floors. I figured posting photos of the rooms with the moss "carpets" would be enough.

What If I spilled stuff on it, both regular stuff (like water, soda, food, wine), or even chemicals (like windex, 409, other stuff that doesn't destroy carpet, but wipes up)? Would it make my feet green, my furniture (wood and materials) rot, or create a humidity and itself be condusive to mold in the house?
