- offthewagon, on 05/11/2008, -8/+99You could tell me Indiana takes a 2-hour *****, and finishes by giving himself a golf-ball-sized suppository and I'd still see this damn movie. It's Indiana Jones for Christ's sake.

- goscript, on 05/11/2008, -12/+2And here's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008) review summary:
"Everyone's favorite archeologist adventurer dusts off his hat and trusty whip for yet another globetrotting trek as Indiana Jones returns to the big screen nearly 20 years after racing for the Holy Grail alongside his father in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Harrison Ford reprises his role as the iconic, snake-loathing screen hero in a sequel that also finds Karen Allen returning to the series for the first time since 1981's Raiders of the Lost Ark. Ray Winstone, John Hurt, Jim Broadbent, and Shia LaBeouf round out a cast that also features Cate Blanchett in the role of villainous Russian operative Agent Irina Spalko. Steven Spielberg calls the shots on a script penned by David Koepp (and adapted from the screen story by executive producer George Lucas). "

- Mauly, on 05/11/2008, -9/+38I refuse to pirate this film... its an EPIC moment and needs to be seen on the big screen...
- FDDIcent, on 05/11/2008, -2/+6agreed, this is one of those movies Im confident will be good and will gladly pay up front to watch it.
- sega01, on 05/11/2008, -10/+15Unfortunately paying for the movie will probably support the MPAA quite a bit. I would love to donate to the film directly and then share/download it anyway I want to, instead of directly feeding a corrupt system.
- unreg, on 05/11/2008, -7/+10Way to justify your illegal download.
- diggn_it, on 05/11/2008, -0/+2Fighting the MPAA: A way for cheap deadbeats to justify their lifestyle.
Someone had to say it.
- diggn_it, on 05/11/2008, -0/+2Fighting the MPAA: A way for cheap deadbeats to justify their lifestyle.
- solid12345, on 05/11/2008, -2/+12"I would love to donate to the film directly"
WTF? The "film" is not a living, breathing person. It is the creation of a corporation and cost millions to make to pay the actors, special fx technicians, lighting guys, caterers, office drones, you name it. Making a movie is expensive, get over it.- drafhk, on 05/11/2008, -3/+3That's obviously what he meant, retard.
- solid12345, on 05/11/2008, -3/+1And the majority of ticket sales go to fund the film *****, the MPAA is not collecting a big portion of the revenue.
- drafhk, on 05/11/2008, -3/+3That's obviously what he meant, retard.
- unreg, on 05/11/2008, -7/+10Way to justify your illegal download.
- skyfyre, on 05/11/2008, -6/+7That's because some Hollywood directors (the smart ones) have figured out that if they actually make good movies, people will pay to see them. This is why I went to see Transformers, Iron Man, and the Lord of the Rings movies in the theatres, while I saw the Mist at my friends house after HE paid to rent it (I was very glad I didn't pay to see it.)
- threemagic, on 05/11/2008, -1/+8You do realize you've just said exactly what's wrong with Hollywood. Transformers, Iron Man, and LotR were good movies, sure, but they are someone else's work. There is absolutely nothing new coming out. Indiana will be a good movie but again just another in a great franchise, nothing new or creative.
- skyfyre, on 05/11/2008, -1/+2While I do recognize the lack of new material as a problem, it does not have any effect on my ability to enjoy great movie-going experiences like the ones I mentioned. Something new every now and then is definitely refreshing, but I can still enjoy old stuff and remakes.
Also, it looks like I offended some fans of the Mist. Turns out I was actually thinking of the Fog. *facepalm* - solid12345, on 05/11/2008, -0/+8But why blame Hollywood for that? People bitch about all these remakes and sequels yet they keep going into the theatres in droves and shattering records. It is not that Hollywood cannot find a decent script with new material out there, No Country For Old Men is a good example,it is more like the box office public wants to invest their 7 dollars and 2 hours of time in something they know what they are getting into, big robots and spandex heroes.
- threemagic, on 05/11/2008, -0/+1They go because they HAVE to to get a good movie going experience.. or least a COMFORTABLE one (skyfyre). The reality is given the amount of scary movie ripoffs, mindless sandler like crap, and japan horror ripoffs how can you chance going to see anything outside what you know will be good. You may chance a 10-20 dollar loss.. a lot more if you take a family.
- skyfyre, on 05/11/2008, -1/+2While I do recognize the lack of new material as a problem, it does not have any effect on my ability to enjoy great movie-going experiences like the ones I mentioned. - 5celery, on 05/12/2008, -0/+2You just said Transformers was a good movie.
- threemagic, on 05/11/2008, -1/+8You do realize you've just said exactly what's wrong with Hollywood. Transformers, Iron Man, and LotR were good movies, sure, but they are someone else's work. - blankoboy, on 05/11/2008, -1/+11I felt the same way when the Phantom Menace came out but I'll never fall for it again from Lucas or Spielberg.
- solid12345, on 05/11/2008, -1/+4I can understand the hate for RIAA but why the MPAA? Regardless of the quality of films or not, 100 million dollar budget movies don't pay for themselves and the profit has to come from somewhere, whether through ticket sales or DVD sales and rentals. If everybody had pirated Iron Man and it lost money we would never get a sequel.
- theviceroy, on 05/11/2008, -0/+1I only hate the MPAA for its self-censorship. Otherwise its a pretty good representative of a pretty good industry.
- CarnivalOfDust, on 05/11/2008, -4/+2"has breached the film’s tight security"
Hey, you promised me some Streisand Effect. - earthforce1, on 05/11/2008, -13/+4Anybody else here want to see Indiana Jones meet (and possibly compete with) Laura Croft on some mad adventure?
Now that would be a movie!- Andyschism, on 05/11/2008, -2/+13I found your digg account Uwe Boll. ***** you!
- 5celery, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1He could play her great grandfather.
- unreg, on 05/11/2008, -7/+5Indiana Jones and the Celebrex Dosage
- RyomaNagare, on 05/11/2008, -5/+41We do not want ***** reviews posted on-line only to feed starving e-penises, we want to relive the magic we felt 20 years go, when we did not know better, and were presented with such magically bad-ass characters that, not only became instant pop icons, but defined in our minds, how a real man should behave.
So no thank you, i don't want to hear about how geographically incorrect the movie setting is, how old is Harrison ford, or how lame the plot is, I just want to go and enjoy Indiana ***** Jones, kicking ass in the cold war. thanks a lot. - teamgwho, on 05/11/2008, -4/+12Don't fret because although there is a negative review of Indy4 at Aintitcoolnews.com, thre's also one that gies it a B- as well as one that gives it an A. (that's my letter grade interpretation of the review btw) Bottom line is it's been 19 years, making the last sequel 10 years older then my son. We're all gonna go see it so anyone who actually is worried about one or two or even several negative reviews needs a kick in the head. Unless every single review is negative I'll be there. Hell if they were all negative I'd go just to see wtf went so wrong, or to see if all the reviewers dranks the same kool-aid.
Indy is a classic that holds up perfectly fine after 23 years. I got all giffy as we watched the latests trailer when I went to see Ironman and my son asked why i was so giddy-giggedy and that's when I realized my son who is 9 had never seen them before. That demanded an inby marathon and he loved it. The indy movies are among my wife's favorites and she never likes the movies I like.
So STFU and go to the movie and enjoy it. or not.
But don't get your panties in a bunch because one guy who somehow managed to see it is saying OMGZ! Teh bad! - cranium, on 05/11/2008, -8/+5I heard he dies.
- solid12345, on 05/11/2008, -1/+7Well it wasn't written that way in the script, Harrison just keeled over on the set and they got it on film and decided to leave it in the final cut.
- theviceroy, on 05/11/2008, -1/+2Indy drank from the cup of christ... I don't think "dying" is in his repertoire.
- GGoldberry, on 05/11/2008, -0/+4I am so going to see this movie. But I found it interesting that the promos show Indy from really far away. Not many close ups of the aging Indy.
- solid12345, on 05/11/2008, -4/+3Does anyone give a ***** about the opinion of that fat disgusting blob or his legion of dweebs on the you-know-what site? And come on, I know you're fat but you could at least ditch the bruce velanche/gimly the dwarf haircut and put on a decent shirt for once.
- 5celery, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1Yes - he knows movies. This seems to be unrelated to his physicality.
- anchorman, on 05/11/2008, -0/+13In recent years both Lucas and Spielberg seem off their game... so I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't that good. That being said... I hope it's great! I'm a big IJ fan and don't want this part of my childhood ruined like SW was.
- SuperWinner, on 05/11/2008, -1/+8Dugg for ruining your childhood.
- HaloZero, on 05/11/2008, -0/+8This is coming from NYTimes who wrote a spoiler of the end of the last Harry Potter book?
- ConfusedCartman, on 05/11/2008, -1/+1That book sucked balls.
- codered1322, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1The NY Times' movie reviews drop so many spoilers it is insane.
- bjs3171, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1i definitely have read some negative NYT reviews of genuinely good films and theater. this is just someone reading another review, and then writing about how they read it, like that's investigative journalism. this is retarded.
- lingyai, on 05/11/2008, -3/+2Does anyone watch the previews of movies and wonder what the hell they are thinking. One garbage movie after another. How about paying the writers $10 million and the actors $10 million instead of $20 million and having a worthless script.
- LilRabbitFooFoo, on 08/11/2008, -3/+3The secret to reviews on AintitCoolNews is simple. If Harry loves a movie, you can be assured that it is total *****.
- Spoomeister, on 05/11/2008, -5/+2I love the comments in this thread all anxious to see the movie no matter how bad it might turn out to be. This is the same pack of dweebs that Lucas made his money off of in making the Star Wars prequels.
- hellotyler, on 05/11/2008, -2/+3It's been too long. The directors are getting old and stale. I'll still see it in the theatre, undoubtedly, but I am going in with low expectations.
- bshock, on 05/11/2008, -3/+4It's amusing that Schlockmeister Spielberg would be so outraged that early reviews might tip off the public to his incompetence. Reminds me of the time the motion picture studios were complaining that early word of mouth from cell phone users was hurting revenues for them.
- 5celery, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1It says a lot about the quality of the film.
- KaivenTor, on 05/11/2008, -1/+2Even if it sucks, I'm still going to go see it. Always try something once.
- loomis, on 05/12/2008, -1/+2Like eating *****. Try that once.
- 5celery, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1Indiana Jones and the Broken Hip Bone.
- mr5150, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1I refuse to let anyone ruin this flick for me....so i'll sgt shultz it from here on...
- dstz, on 05/12/2008, -0/+2"It's Indiana Jones for Christ's sake."
Star wars, for Christ's sake. I don't care for "CGI" or "Not CGI", the movie was plain bad anyway. Hopefully the great and young idealist Harrison Ford is going to save the day ! haha, no :) - russTtraumbowen, on 05/12/2008, -0/+1came across a nasty preview of Indy 4: http://eattheblinds.blogspot.com/ scroll down to get to it...i think its a few days old
- Wamzlee, on 05/17/2008, -0/+1If you actually read the review from ShogunMaster, all the spoilers are just conclusions that you can pick up from the trailer...and even the from the toy products that have been coming out. I just hope this is just some fanboy trying to spread rumors.
- neopodex, on 05/20/2008, -0/+1Stick it to the Whinechowski brothers Indy! In 2 days Speed Racer is your bizzzatch.
- bjs3171, on 05/22/2008, -0/+1i really don't care if Indy looks a little old. As long as he can still move, I don't mind the years. sorry..
I also don't trust one random review from a supposed theater exec. who knows who that was.
