  • Surferess, on 11/06/2009, -1/+27My father is buried there. Well, there is actually no body, headstone though. Sometimes in war you don't get a body back in a nice, flag-draped coffin, but instead, just the flag, headstone and a thank you.

The war that officially commenced after Confederate forces assaulted and captured Fort Sumter? Oh, and don't forget about the Confederacy's utter economic dependence on slave labor.

    The Federal Government has always been a classy bunch.

J.L. Chamberlain took incredible ***** in the north just for giving the surrendering army a half salute.
