Notice "...after their tryst...was exposed..." The passive tense indicates an unknown agent that exposed Eliot Spitzer. Wanna know who that agent was? Try the NSA running an illegal spying operation of private citizens' credit card charges for the Homeland Security Agency. They informed the FBI, which (at the behest of BushCo) was looking for a way to kill Sptizer's career. Why? Because Spitzer was trying to put the kabosh on Wall Street's sub-prime lending scams. You know, the ones that helped put our economy into the toilet.

For someone like a Kobe Bryant who once had a squeaky clean image, it definitely hurt his endorsement earning potential as companies like Gnutella peanut butter, Sprite and Nike dumped him. However, he got some of those contracts back and his large contract ensure he'll be able to make the mortgage payment.
Now really, do you think a little infidelity is going to bring someone like PacMan Jones or Ray Lewis down? -
