- nuclearpenguins, on 12/19/2007, -3/+11This is the kind of ***** that makes it to the Digg front page nowadays? Oh how I yearn for the Digg of 2005.
- dcbebop, on 12/19/2007, -4/+10Color better represents its pronunciation rather than colour (kuh - lore). If you want to use extra letters that have no affect on it's pronunciation, move to France.
- ransomduke, on 12/19/2007, -1/+6follicle hue adjusting?! WTF
i bet they'll be calling hair dressers "cranial follicle management and hue adjustment technicians" or something similarly stupid soon enough... - TheDreadDiggerD, on 12/19/2007, -1/+6I wasn't aware that ' was a letter.
- anillop, on 12/19/2007, -0/+4Dug down for being a pompous ass.
- beautyscientist, on 12/19/2007, -0/+3Interesting article - I think the origin of blonde hair, probably in Finland just after the Ice Age is a fascinating example of evolution in action.
- bffoley, on 12/19/2007, -2/+5At least nobody's brought up Ron Paul yet.
(Whoops) - Christbait, on 12/19/2007, -1/+4That's just the silly ways that proper English works.
- Gunsdead, on 12/19/2007, -0/+3Hair colour - for those who don't want the drapes to match the carpet
- oMeSSiaHo, on 12/19/2007, -1/+3It relates to history, chemistry and culture. Who cares if it's about hair.
- yournightmare, on 12/19/2007, -0/+2I can't believe they didn't mention how some African tribes used to (and continue to this day) die their hair blondish/orangish by sticking their heads under a stream of cow urine. I think that's a more interesting example of old-fashioned hair dye then henna or sage.
- lisaawesome, on 12/19/2007, -0/+2It will only crack and break if you're a jackass who doesn't know that they're doing. Or the hairdresser is the jackass who doesn't know what they're doing.
- J4k3, on 12/19/2007, -0/+2Yes, indeed. I find it extremely interesting how blond hair was "developed" (for a lack of a better word) in just a relatively short time. Personally, I don't care what color a girl's hair is as long as it looks good on her. What *I* definitely can't stand though is curly hair...in my personal opinion it's absolutely ugly! Straighten it out and it looks 10x better. IMHO, of course. :-)
- dotlizard, on 12/19/2007, -1/+2life is for living, hair is for dyeing.
- redhotkurt, on 12/19/2007, -4/+5"their is a gradual decrease"
Dugg down for having the writing skills of a 7 year old. - zoethebitch, on 12/19/2007, -0/+1Public Service Announcement about blondness: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Gio5V5psZio
- ozonew4m, on 12/09/2008, -0/+1There are a few interesting articles about coloring your hair on http://www.hair-color-shampoo.com
- inactive, on 12/19/2007, -0/+1I still use henna and it's a moderately popular alternative to the harsh chemical dyes on the market. I agree with yournightmare, I would like to hear about African tribes sticking their heads in cow urine! This article was kind of useless.
- lisaawesome, on 12/19/2007, -0/+1Sounds like me! I haven't seen my natural color in nearly 9 years. I think it's more fun to change it all the time. If my hair only grew as pink naturally!
- yournightmare, on 12/19/2007, -0/+1"Americanized" needs to be capitalized, *****. I'm sure "*****" means the same thing in the Queen's English, correct?
- ilovethewacokid, on 12/26/2007, -0/+0gotta love fun colors in a bottle
- thcobbs, on 12/19/2007, -3/+3And when you do it wrong it will crack your hair. But I'm sure you know that already.
- davidlow, on 12/19/2007, -3/+3For the majority of native English speakers, i.e Americans, 'colour' is actually an improper spelling.
- didi08, on 02/26/2008, -0/+0interesting to read. I am naturally blond. My hair dresser once said I was boring and I should bring some color to my hair and she convinced me of some brown highlights. However the hightlights turned red. I looked horrible afterwards. Since than I never colored my hair again, but admire those who do change their color regularily.
- sweeneyowns, on 12/19/2007, -11/+10i love the article! i've been coloring my hair since i was 10 and i really haven't seen my "real" hair since then. i'm a straight up addict to hair color...its like crack for my hair.
- rkzda, on 12/19/2007, -2/+1Why can't women just leave their hair natural?
- malebeautyforum, on 12/21/2007, -1/+0Loved the article,it was well written, being a Certified Hair and Color technician I personally Love to do "Body Hair Coloring", which is a variation on the theme ,but it takes 10-15 years off of a man in 24.2 minutes and gives a visually rivetting look, it realy does! - josefresco, on 12/19/2007, -2/+1did anyone else get a Gtalk message with this Digg URL?
- GeorgeStone2, on 12/19/2007, -4/+2Agree'd.
How the hell did this get front page. - Twoodge, on 12/19/2007, -6/+2Do apostrophes count too? Hypocrite.
- inactive, on 12/19/2007, -4/+0If by proper you mean retarded, then yes.
- teh_techie, on 12/19/2007, -19/+8Dugg for the use of the proper english word "colour" rather than the americanized "color" in the website name.
