- thegamingguy, on 07/01/2009, -1/+32Web is the one to keep. You can make calls and watch tv. I guess on a portable level, the cell phone can do a chunk of that. TV too, but who has Web TV still?
- Bukowsky, on 07/01/2009, -3/+27TV. Nothing good on these days anyways.
- inactive, on 07/01/2009, -3/+18TV would be obsolete if the cable companies didn't depend on it.
- Loki101, on 07/02/2009, -0/+12GIVE ME INTERNET OR GIVE ME DEATH
- CleoQKazoo, on 07/02/2009, -1/+12Cell! I can IM for the most part and i know Id get ***** over in emergencies but sometimes I want shows that aren't online in decent enough quality. Never web. If somebody tried to take my internet away... well we all saw the WoW kid
- damack, on 07/02/2009, -0/+10You forgot to add without ads and in a range of resolutions.
Damn you can go on bit torrent and find TV shows that are encoded in a variety of resolutions from ipod touch resolution to 1080P blu ray rips.
It's not even a contest between TV and the web and once we get proper cellphones with skype the cell phone is likely to be changed drastically by the net too.
Web = rules all. - topgigmedia, on 07/02/2009, -0/+10Already gave up TV 2 years ago. I believe TV (as we currently know it) is dying a slow but continued death.
- Hobbes24, on 07/02/2009, -1/+10in importance:
1. tubes(only because i could cheat and carry my itouch for iming and skype)
2. cell
3. tv - eramos, on 07/02/2009, -1/+10http://www.theonion.com/content/node/28694
- radicaldementia, on 07/01/2009, -4/+12I've already given up TV, haven't owned one in 3 years now. I watch a select few shows on hulu/bittorrent, but I think the vast majority of TV shows are complete garbage and having a TV only encourages you to watch that garbage.
- KillTheAcademy, on 07/01/2009, -1/+9TV for sure
- jmcenanly, on 07/02/2009, -1/+9Probably the TV, since most of what I can watch is also on the Web.
- oda1, on 07/02/2009, -1/+9Take anything, just not my web. I've grown so accustomed too, among millions of other things, google'ing every little thing, that without it, I'd be lost. LOST.
- avataros, on 07/02/2009, -1/+7Or you could tether your cell to your PC, and you'll get the web and tv shows for free by torrent. You just need to find the right data plan.
- fowleryo, on 07/02/2009, -1/+7I've seen the girls on tv in Brazil. I get it.
- inactive, on 07/02/2009, -0/+5WAIT! Could I just give up the content I pay for or the actual TV?
Sometimes I just like hooking my laptop up to my TV... - EvansHall, on 07/02/2009, -1/+6I VOTE TV
- stonedgeek, on 07/02/2009, -0/+5TV. No contest. Provided I get to keep my 42" 'monitor'
- fantasyflamz, on 07/02/2009, -1/+5Yep, the sad thing is I don't even own a tv (watch on hulu/rapidshare) and yet I have cable but that's only because it's weirdly cheaper to get cable + internet instead of just internet.
- zemkacz, on 07/02/2009, -1/+5TV off course!
Internet has my skype (phone) and hulu/TPB (TV)
No internet would result in me going ***** insaine. - Kiloboba, on 07/02/2009, -0/+4INTERNET killed the TELIVIZEO star!
- ethamajin, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3The point is that all of those things can exist on the internet. In the end maybe everything will be over IP in some form or another.
- fantasyflamz, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3There are several good shows within the last 10 years, however I have found that many of them only have 2-4 seasons because they've gotten cancelled.
- jmhyer51, on 07/02/2009, -2/+5What if I gave you one for fiber dsl in exchange?
- Heidenreich12, on 07/02/2009, -2/+5i vote TV because... come on, i already download all my shows on the web
- zbeast, on 07/02/2009, -1/+4I would totally give up tv. There is nothing but crap on anyway.
I can do everything else on the web.. ip phone, email, video, text chat.
What can't the web do.. ya maybe not that yet.. I bet there is someone working on a usb attachment
to your computer for that. - handheldchimp, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3Im pretty sure TV is slowly dying already. To be 100% honest, I don't know when the last time it was that I watched live television. We Tivo everything, and even then we haven't used the Tivo that much since everything can be obtained online now.
I predict that we still use our TV setups in the future, no doubt, but programs/movies will be obtained directly through the internet. Hell, we already have TV's that have ethernet ports so they can update their firmware.
Also, these comments ***** suck. - jman583, on 07/02/2009, -3/+5They can pry my cable modem from my cold dead hands.
- Yazilliclick, on 07/02/2009, -2/+4Well I have a TV but haven't had cable/satelite or anything for about 2 years now, so yeah I wouldn't miss it. Wouldn't miss giving up watching movies on it either. Could give up my cell as well, really only use it when traveling.
- spookyttws, on 07/02/2009, -1/+3But, but, but, I watch TV over the internet on my cell phone!
- habebah, on 07/02/2009, -5/+7You should watch Lost.
- shibagarden, on 07/02/2009, -1/+3Gave up TV. Never had a cell. Web? No Digg? That would be a challenge.
- CZDrNick, on 07/02/2009, -1/+3TV Duh
- skit4king, on 07/02/2009, -0/+2What's a TV? is that like youtube or something?
- ddcool1124, on 07/02/2009, -1/+3TV For sure. Web is most important to me.
- sexybobo, on 07/02/2009, -0/+2Cell for me too then i can hide from my job for a while
- handheldchimp, on 07/02/2009, -0/+2GTFO of my Digg.
- bshock, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1I don't watch the idiot box, and I don't keep myself chained with a portable phone. So you figure it out, Sherlock.
- cananito, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1I would definitely give up TV.
- Sveglio, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1Actually it seems TV is precious to many of you, as you would forgo it mainly because you access it online. What if that wasn’t the case?
After all, these services aren’t worldwide. - wachris, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1Any Trailer Park Boys fans who get excited when someone talks about TPB? It was Trailer Park Boys before The Pirate Bay. Freedom 35!
- PaulTron3000v5, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1I got the TV out of my room about a month ago because I just didn't use that damn thing.
- TheBadWolf, on 07/02/2009, -1/+2Sorry man, watching TV on the computer is the exact same thing. If you're going to be an elitist, at least do it right.
- CalcProgrammer1, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1I would have zero issues cutting the TV service and throwing out the cell phone, but they can NEVER take my Internet. NEVER!
- Sveglio, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1Maybe Brazilians don't look handsome on the web!
- Tanktunker, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1"From November 6 to December 3, a 1-question online poll was placed on high-traffic websites in 15 countries (Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Netherlands, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Spain, United Kingdom, United States). A total of 150 respondents in each country participated in the poll."
They only polled people who use the internet, making the results completely ***** invalid. - Sveglio, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1How about both? Just kidding!
- antdude, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1There was a similiar poll (phone, money, sex, and alcohol) and articles about this: http://aqfl.net/?q=node/5029
- ISellSigals, on 07/02/2009, -0/+1Definalty TV, I hardly watch television these days with all the propaganda on them. The internet would be much harder to give up as so much comes from it.
