- swordedge, on 02/01/2009, -0/+6Baen Books. Most of not their entire library is available for free. http://www.baen.com/library/
- manogamez, on 02/01/2009, -0/+4Not bad at all. If only I had the kindle or unlimited printing I would be able to read these without hurting my eyes. Thanks anyways!
Asimov FTW! - drexl, on 02/01/2009, -0/+4Wow. This is a great find. Now all I need is more hours in the day.
- Smegzor, on 02/01/2009, -0/+2Thanks for the link. I'm a bit of a lazy reader at times and the audio books can be quite fun while doing stuff around the house.. or at work ;)
I listen to escapepod.org for SF stories (site seems to be dead) and podcastle.org for fantasy (not dead). There is also a horror podcast, pseudopod.org (undead). I don't know whats up with those sites. I haven't listened for ages. I hope they come back. - Aeuta, on 02/01/2009, -1/+3I really like some of the stuff from www.podiobooks.com more because I don't have a ebook reader/reading from a screen sucks. I wonder if they would consider podcasting some of the best of these stories as a stand alone podiobook or collection.
I <3 Free SF, free books and free culture. - akerasi, on 02/01/2009, -0/+2I love Baen! I've used their site often myself. This site links to them when appropriate. It isn't everything Baen publishes, but usually at least the first book in any series they have out there. Highly recommended.
- inactive, on 02/01/2009, -0/+2wow.... i was looking for something exactley like this for a project. digg comes through again!

By the way, whoever put the stylesheet together for this page should have their eyes plucked by crows:

Had to cut and paste in order to be able to read the text! - AussieVamp2, on 02/05/2009, -0/+1While there are over 2000 or so at this really excellent site, that is obviously not anywhere close to all the SF or Fantasy available for free, just that site's selection - which you can see if you read about it, even. :)
See Project Gutenberg SF Bookshelf - <a href-"<A class="user" href='http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Science_Fiction_(Boo ... ...</A> Project Gutenberg Australia -http://www.gutenberg.net.au/sfproject.html, various magazines online or even Free SF Reader - http://freesflist.blogspot.com - or even Horror Masters http://www.horrormasters.com/Themes/Horror_SS_Coll ... for others.
Note it also doesn't include audio stories like at Escape Pod - http://escapepod.org/ etc. - diceau, on 02/01/2009, -1/+2There's a reason why they're free.
- Steeeeve1, on 02/02/2009, -1/+1I think I'll bookmark this, forget about it, never read it and delete it in 6 months.
- Spoomeister, on 02/01/2009, -2/+2...and worth every penny.
