My costumes when I was a kid were homemade and they sucked. Batman costume: blue sweat pants, blue sweatshirt, crooked batman sign that was drawn on a piece of paper and a garbage bag for a cape.
These kids are lucky.
Oh and I walked 10 miles in sleet to get candies, uphill, both ways, with glass sandals and we ate dirt for dessert. - socialdork, on 05/27/2008, -7/+128poo head baby made me laugh.
- poidh, on 05/27/2008, -14/+127I always bury divinecaroline articles because of the level of ***** in their "about" section:
"We knew early on that we wanted to use a woman's name. It so happens that one of our founders has a dear friend whose name is Caroline. She's a warm, smart, adventurous woman who you'd like instantly. "Caroline" rhymes with Divine - a word that describes every single woman we know who's working to compose a life. So we went with it. But the site isn't about any "one" woman. It's about every woman and the bonds that connect us even though we've never met." - chanop, on 05/27/2008, -0/+80Ok, Ok, I'll stay off your lawn
- Chairboy, on 05/27/2008, -1/+81My son Marcus may have one. His first Halloween, wifey got him a cute little "Fox" costume. I was looking at it, thinking about how I had missed my big chance to do something really neat, when suddenly I was struck by a sense of historical inevitability. Unbeknownst, wife had presented me with the perfect opportunity.
I collected a bunch of cardboard, swivel wheels on bearings, PVC, paint, and began cutting and gluing. After a few hours (plus a hazy afternoon spent painting and choking on the fumes of Krylon) I had a WWII German tank. Sort of a cross between a Tiger and a Panzer Mk IV, I was careful to paint it along the lines of traditional german desert camouflage with a nice, tasteful iron cross and field markings of Field Marshall Rommel's brigade.
I'll let someone else explain the joke to those who don't get it, per the 'dissected frog' theory on humor analysis.
Here's a pic:

There may be a special place in parent hell for me, but... come on... what else COULD I do? - LeeKrieger, on 05/27/2008, -1/+60funny, not so freaky.
- RogerTourbiner, on 05/27/2008, -2/+51babies are pretty forgiving. even of being dressed as air fresheners or soon-to-be-boiled crustaceans.
- PauliAnna, on 05/27/2008, -4/+48freaky? cute. freaky involves pushing boundaries and social mores.
- inigomntoya, on 05/27/2008, -0/+40You had a batman costume AND got candies? Psh - luxury!
We used to throw a wig on my little brother, throw a dark colored sheet over the rest of us and go as a hooker walking with invisible pedestrians. We would ring the doorbell, stand perfectly still, and then share a toothbrush, an un-candied apple, or a carton of cigarettes. Once we were finished, we would eat a handful of cold gravel right before our father would beat us nigh to death with the snickers bar he would divvy out to the other neighborhood kids. - NeoCortex, on 05/27/2008, -5/+42Sounds like a Lifetime special.
- iDoraemon, on 05/27/2008, -0/+36When your son grows up, I hope he will look back at this pic and say to himself, "man, I had one badass dad." :D
- inactive, on 05/27/2008, -1/+30Yeah, yeah...well I was the orignal Dark Knight:

- inactive, on 05/27/2008, -0/+17Erwin Rommel was nicknamed "Desert Fox." lololol
- Ocelot13, on 05/27/2008, -8/+24Man, when im eating those first 3 kids... i wont have to imagine im eating something else, theyre already disguised!

- hereisjohnny, on 05/27/2008, -0/+15Desert Fox was the nick name of a famous German Field Marshal in the North-Africa campaign.
- isuisorisuaint, on 05/27/2008, -1/+14creative? yes

- inactive, on 05/27/2008, -0/+11Cute = Hamburger Baby
Freaky = hamburger made from babies - SoIcanDigg, on 05/27/2008, -0/+11How is the mop suit a costume? Add some organic non-hazordous cleaning solutions and you have a nice little helper.
- Pssdoff, on 05/27/2008, -1/+11Ridiculous = Hamburger Baby eating a hamburger made from babies
... while on fire! - Angelspit, on 05/27/2008, -1/+10My baby can get poo on his head by himself. No need of a costume for that.
- jeremyduffy, on 05/27/2008, -0/+9Last two photoshopped. But the mop idea is great! If my kid hadn't just started walking, I could have used that!
- ivosilva, on 05/27/2008, -0/+8Explanation please?
- FUR10N, on 05/27/2008, -2/+10What's the difference between bologna and a dead baby?
I don't like the taste of bologna. - olithebumm, on 05/27/2008, -0/+8trouble is, that didn't look fake to me.
- psychotron, on 05/27/2008, -0/+7I am so getting a Hamburger Baby costume...and I don't even have a baby yet.
- Belldanime, on 05/27/2008, -0/+7Here's a daddy tissue...
Get over the fact that your dad was just not this cool. - DirtyRoboto, on 05/27/2008, -2/+9Most of these kids are dressed as food?!?!?! What are the parents trying too say?
This is one step beyond dressing dogs and cats up and the parents should face summery execution for their crimes. - Pssdoff, on 05/27/2008, -0/+7Whats the difference between a pile of dead babies and a BMW?
I don't have a BMW in my garage. - Foenetik, on 05/27/2008, -3/+10welcome to the suck.
- chanop, on 05/27/2008, -8/+15sweet! LOLbabies
- Disregard, on 05/27/2008, -0/+7Digg needs an 'Emails From Your Grandma' category.

- inigomntoya, on 05/27/2008, -0/+6Aye - but we were happy. BECAUSE we were poor...
- Chairboy, on 05/27/2008, -0/+6I can also do semi-competent balloon animals, provided that the animal in question is a snake.
- romistrub, on 05/27/2008, -1/+7Okay, I seriously found the first one and the last one hilarious! Nothing like degrading a baby before they can defend themselves!!
- cme884, on 05/27/2008, -3/+8I'd say it's about par for the course.
- Ganpachi, on 05/27/2008, -0/+5one was a Japanese "invention" not a costume, and most of the rest are crappy photoshops. Though I liked the lobster bucket one.
- Chalks777, on 05/27/2008, -1/+6>>What are the parents trying too [sic] say?
OM NOM NOM NOM! - judolphin, on 05/27/2008, -0/+5Yes, funny pictures, but 100% ridiculous to break 10 pictures into two pages.
- PhattyPhattMatt, on 05/27/2008, -1/+6Lobster baby makes me hungry.GET IN MAH BELLY!!
