- theshizzler, on 06/30/2009, -2/+9With a headline like that, how can I resist?
As a sidenote, Girl Talk is damn good. - disinformation, on 06/30/2009, -1/+8This film is actually really fun, not a boring legal lecture at all, and it certainly makes you realize that you didn't already know all the angles. Respect!
- theRealNyee, on 06/30/2009, -1/+6Double ***** the RIAA
- qzgun, on 07/01/2009, -1/+6Actually - you can pay whatever you want and/or download the movie for free (in the US and Canada) at ripremix.com.
- OfNumbers, on 06/30/2009, -10/+15No, I don't want to purchase your eighteen dollar film about why piracy is awesome.
- toshiro7, on 07/02/2009, -0/+3Oddly enough, the first movie I've paid to download. Ever.
- Hamsterpotpies, on 07/03/2009, -0/+3I'm downloading the movie right now. If I like it, just like the Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails albums, I'll go back and pay for it. (Note: I payed for the Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails albums. In Rainbows, Ghost, and The Slip were the best albums I have ever paid for)
- kolding, on 06/30/2009, -0/+2haha... Funny stuff!
- senae, on 07/05/2009, -0/+2425 diggs and still just upcoming?
Does that seem odd to anyone else? - zetetic23, on 08/06/2009, -0/+1great doco, easy to find on torrentz

- mrpibb79, on 07/03/2009, -0/+0This movie is very worth a download and $5 donation. Also, it is more than a "***** the RIAA" statement, it examines the mashup culture and the overbearing copyright laws that stifle creativity.
- ramherrump, on 07/02/2009, -0/+0The full movie can be found here, on the National Film Board's site: http://www3.nfb.ca/webextension/rip-a-remix-manife ...
- faulkner16, on 07/02/2009, -0/+0The best documentary i have seen so far, informative and entertaining all round. Everyone who has anything to do with piracy (most people) should watch this for sure.
Ofnumbers- nobody said you can't charge for your work, in fact, the system wouldnt work at all if you couldn't if you actually watched the film, its goal is to evoke change in laws that prevent creativity through remixing and such, as well as the monopoly of the RIAA and MPAA on works that might as well be in the public domain.
I will be glad to pay the money for my copy. - deadsoldier, on 07/03/2009, -0/+0Good stuff, public torrent available here: http://www.mininova.org/tor/2693725
- nebulon82, on 07/02/2009, -0/+0Great film, full of great stuff. Laurence Lessig and Girl Talk in one film, how can you say no to that?
- hoag, on 07/05/2009, -0/+0If this movie is under a CC license, why not link to the whole thing? Why just link to the trailer on YouTube and not a torrent or other downloadable?
- qzgun, on 06/30/2009, -3/+3Don't spill your Starbux on your ironic t-shirt while playing with your iPhone, genius. Disney has already decided for you what piracy is - after they raided the public domain of all the best fairy tales, of course.
- faulkner16, on 07/05/2009, -0/+0it only takes a google search to do that yourself.
just sayin - janwilder, on 07/08/2009, -0/+0Thanks, but I'm looking for a place in Canada where I can buy the whole film (not watch it segment by segment). Does anyone know where I can do this, yet!
- hoag, on 07/06/2009, -0/+0They may 'encourage' it but the film is not available from their website -- only these chunks that are made for remixing. They are trying to have their cake ('we're all about teh share') and eat it ('but right now we're selling it, so it's not available.)
- Jaymis, on 07/03/2009, -1/+0The film is Creative Commons licensed. So not only can you download it for free, they encourage it, and they encourage remixing and repurposing. Would be a bit hypocritical not to, considering the subject matter of the film (which is great, btw).
What is Digg?
