- granolajoe, on 02/20/2009, -12/+1392Some people in Denver need to chill the ***** out and recognize just how badass this Mustang is, and how it makes our airport kick the ass of so many other airports in this country and around the world. This mustang KILLED its own creator and managed to get away with it. How many cities can claim to have a murderous 32-foot-tall Mustang gracing the landscapes of their airports?
- inactive, on 02/20/2009, -10/+372This world is filled with a lot of pussies. This statue is a beautiful piece of art and should stay there for the world to see.
- loyalKNG, on 02/20/2009, -14/+326Wow. This is the most beautiful piece of public sculpture I have seen in a bit! Denver should be proud.
- eveccker, on 02/20/2009, -1/+253welcome to COLORADO, bitches!!!
- Criminolelawyer, on 02/20/2009, -5/+209haha, you live in Cleveland!
- benmandude, on 02/20/2009, -6/+170I'm really disappointed that people want to get rid of it. I love seeing it when I'm leaving the airport.
- Merendino, on 02/20/2009, -1/+153I was JUST at the Denver airport the other day. I had gotten into the airport in the evening around 10pm. Having seen a similar article on the horse just a few days prior, you can imagine my shock when I look out of the car window and see this MASSIVE blue veiny horse with red as fire eyes and a mane sticking up like its possessed. ***** thing is the coolest damned sculpture I've seen in a looooong time, and it freaked me right the ***** out. I love it. Its anatomically correct too, btw.
- JROXZ, on 02/20/2009, -2/+132The Denver Airport is so bad-ass that airplanes launch by a kick from the mustang whilst loudspeaker blare The Final Countdown by Europe.
- EMFK, on 02/20/2009, -4/+126I swear some people have too much time on their hands. The statue should stay.
- BootsElectric, on 02/20/2009, -0/+92You should probably look up what "penultimate" means before using it.
- jmcneilly, on 02/20/2009, -4/+93Where are the other three horses, and their riders?
- Balath, on 02/20/2009, -1/+88Look, there's an article.

If art doesn't evoke some emotional reaction, you're not paying enough attention or the artist wasn't successful. "Fear" and "discomfort" are particularly good effects that only a skilled artist can master. This, sirs, was made by a skilled artist. - anexanhume, on 02/20/2009, -2/+87This is a message to all terrorists:
"We will unleash a giant mustang zombie army on you!11!!1! Also, why are you in colorado?" - Frixionburne, on 02/20/2009, -13/+93From where I stand, Cleveland doesn't need a giant metal zombie mustang. Bitch... we set our river on fire.
Unless you could put the metal zombie mustang in Cleveland... That with the river of fire might make the penultimate team. - thoughtlover, on 02/20/2009, -15/+82Luis Jiménez: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luis_Jim%C3%A9nez_%28 ... - Eupatorus, on 02/20/2009, -2/+66That is badass! What's the story behind it?
- MattB123, on 02/20/2009, -0/+58First of all, that is a badass photo. Kudos to the photographer!
Next, the demonic Bronco is kind of creepy but I still like it. It grabs your attention and certainly is memorable. I think it should stay. - lawlzbot, on 02/20/2009, -0/+49thanks for checking, you're doing the lord's work
- Cyrodox, on 02/20/2009, -0/+45I know which airport is my connecting stop now.
- ZeeZee2k, on 02/20/2009, -1/+41Any hi-res for my desktop?
- indubitably, on 02/20/2009, -1/+40Dude. That slide show is effing hillarious. Here are the captions minus the visuals.
At the Los Angeles International Airport, Vinny the friendly purple airplane teaches children about the wonders of flying.
WHILE THE MUSTANG EATS CHILDREN FOR BREAKFAST WHILE STANDING ON SAURON’S FLAMING EYEBALL!
At Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, these chaps are playing a rousing John Philip Sousa march. Ba-da-dum-bum-bum?
WHILE THE MUSTANG PREPARES TO BE ON THE COVER OF THE NEW IRON MAIDEN ALBUM, STALLION OF THE BEAST!
Who wants popcorn at Chicago O'Hare International Airport? I do! I do! Wheeee!
WHILE THE MUSTANG IS THE TRUSTY STEED OF SKELETOR, EVIL LORD OF DESTRUCTION!
At Charles de Gaulle International Airport in Paris, little French kiddies gaze longingly at flying machines. C'est beau!
WHILE THE MUSTANG SPRINGS FULLY FORMED FROM SATAN’S GAPING, MAGMA-FILLED WOMB!
At Logan Airport in Boston, cheery staff members help an absentminded old man find his puppy.
WHILE THE MUSTANG IS THE KEYMASTER, MINION OF GOZER!
At London Heathrow Airport, windows capture stirring cloud reflections, like a View-Master slide of heaven.
WHILE THE MUSTANG BIRTHS THUNDERHEADS FROM ITS RED, GLOWING EYES! BRAHAHAHA! - inactive, on 02/20/2009, -5/+44why are so many people so lame in this world, get off your high horse *****
- ahage16, on 02/20/2009, -0/+36Where can I get one for my room?
- Meatloaf42, on 02/20/2009, -0/+33This statue is badass. My parents hate it and think it's ugly, but I find it intriguing. Only thing that could make it better is if it shot lightning out of its eyes. And in real life, its ***** HUGE and right next to the main boulevard that runs to the terminal.
- jasonlion54, on 02/20/2009, -1/+34No, sorry, it's actually really offensive, and should be removed. In fact, I'll be right over to take it off your hands, and if it happens to end up in my backyard, it would be purely coincidence.
Seriously, I want this thing in my backyard. I fell like if it was in my yard, that lightning storm would hover over my property. - andrewsavage, on 02/20/2009, -0/+32No piece of art has ever defined the word "Awesome" so well.
- coreyb, on 02/20/2009, -4/+34**** you, two of my friends were killed by a 32 foot zombie horse...
- jmark13, on 02/20/2009, -0/+28Yeah, man. Logan here in Boston needs ANYTHING. Although... maybe an infrastructure would be a good place to start.
- edboyy, on 02/20/2009, -2/+28Summon Dreadsteed.
- flashingcurser, on 02/20/2009, -2/+28I think Denver needs more controversy.
- Meltz014, on 02/20/2009, -0/+23They were eaten by this one
- MaxxusFlamus, on 02/20/2009, -1/+23well I just ***** myself.
- ursername180, on 02/20/2009, -2/+24Their flight just got delayed. Permanently.
- u4ik, on 02/20/2009, -1/+22In before underground alien base conspiracy theorists!
- Airmaxx23, on 02/20/2009, -1/+21Controversial? Holy crap...people will complain about anything now!! Grow up!!!
- pagit, on 02/20/2009, -1/+20cool image with the storm clouds.
A statue that scares little kids, intimidates older people and is anointed by killing it's creator reminds me of something from Heavy Metal
too bad the bronks are not like that - spar13, on 02/20/2009, -3/+21If your child likes horses, you might want to pack extra distractions and hope they don't notice the thirty-two foot tall strangely fat/skinny mustang, that really IS the horse of death it appears. In a tragic accident, the creator of the sculpture was killed when a section of the horse fell on him when he was working on it in his studio two years ago.
http://www.parentdish.com/2008/02/22/denver-airpor ... - NotYourProdigy, on 02/20/2009, -0/+18Actually, we do have an underground prison at the airport, it is not a conspiracy theory.
- thoughtlover, on 02/20/2009, -3/+21Oh yes... Digg me down for clarifying the Artist's name, the Facebook page at the center of the controversy, and the Bronco sports franchise statue mentioned in the description. What was I thinking...
- Frixionburne, on 02/20/2009, -1/+18Clearly you've never been to Cleveland! I'd say penultimate is a very fair descriptor, see... we aren't quite as bad as detroit!
and my home town is posted on digg (not cleveland.... but close!) - colinnwn, on 02/20/2009, -0/+17"Its eyes pierce your soul at the very sight of them."
I think that's the point. But uglyness, with beauty, is generally in the eye of the beholder. - PhreakMac, on 02/20/2009, -0/+17Wow fits just perfect with the murals they had there
- Volatile36, on 02/20/2009, -0/+16My God, it's killed again...
- scoffey, on 02/20/2009, -0/+15we have a very similar statue on the University of Oklahoma campus, not as big, but also by Luis Jimenez
people flipped when they first put it in, but maaan are the glowing eyes badass - orangester, on 02/20/2009, -0/+13Funny, you'd think it would be a Bronco.
- phyx726, on 02/20/2009, -0/+13That's actually awesome as hell.
- zantos420, on 02/20/2009, -4/+17pussies and whiners and people who sue over hot coffee and want the government to protect them from everything.
***** pathetic. i agree. - vineyardvine, on 02/20/2009, -6/+19Lack of apostrophe in "Airports" aside, that is one badass statue.
- BootsElectric, on 02/20/2009, -0/+12Like a way to get out of Boston without paying 20$ in tolls!
- jba68, on 02/20/2009, -3/+15The souls of the Dead indians are going to cause monter stang to rise up and conquer denver
