- Rain12913, on 11/02/2009, -0/+11Those likely aren't Cannabis leaves. There are many plants with foliage that looks nearly identical to Marijuana leaves, particularly ones found in Asia. I learned this in middle school after being duped by a few friends into buying a bag of what looked like the coolest bright red pot leaves ever...
- Rysac1, on 11/02/2009, -0/+10It's probably leaves from a Japanese Maple
- mejf2loy, on 11/02/2009, -0/+10and now I have a headache
- werdywerd, on 11/02/2009, -4/+13Now I know how Micheal J. Fox feels when he's trying to view a photo.

- hiplobonoxa, on 11/02/2009, -7/+15rather than flicking the image back and forth, it would have been cooler to put the two images side-by-side so they could be looked at like a magic eye. i made this a few years ago using that technique. if you cross your eyes so the left and right images focus over one another, the t-rex will "pop out" of the screen as he rotates. please excuse the greyscale, i'm trying save bandwidth.

- DoucheSandwich, on 11/02/2009, -0/+7you mean "GODZIRRAA!!" ?
- krymson, on 11/02/2009, -0/+6awesome, yet nauseating at the same time.
- Super6, on 11/02/2009, -0/+6I prefer stereoscopic side-by-sides but these images are kickass
- RossDuprey, on 11/02/2009, -0/+6need mirror
- BREZZZ, on 11/02/2009, -0/+6I always wondered why 3d photography was very popular in the olden days, but now that we can do it so much better no one bothers.
- RonReezy, on 11/02/2009, -0/+5google is going to have a lot of search queries for 'stereoview'...

- christoast, on 11/02/2009, -1/+5I can never see that *****
- Rain12913, on 11/02/2009, -1/+5Oh, now you tell me. And here I am smoking all this weed and getting no results after all these years. /s
I kind of figured the whole "I was in middle school" thing would explain that. Many middle schoolers, my past self included, don't realize that the bud is what's smoked since the leaves are the most iconic imagery of the plant. I'm now a seasoned smoker (it being many years later) who looks back at that and laughs.
Another funny story: me and some friends (some of the same guys that got me with the above prank, those bastards) convinced another friend to smoke tea out of a dollar bill rolled into a hollow-tube (like what one would use to do coke). Thinking the tea was pot, his first inhalation resulted in him getting a mouthful of tea while holding a burning dollar as we all ran laughing. Yes, eighth graders are that stupid. - ryanand80, on 11/02/2009, -0/+3That was impressive. Sooner or later they'll get it right, then I'll never have to go outside again.
- noreal, on 11/02/2009, -0/+3There's a ghost in the first picture
- rmmcclay, on 11/02/2009, -0/+3It's cool, but I prefer looking at the originals on Flickr and crossing my eyes a bit.
- hugopolsky, on 11/02/2009, -0/+3As annoying as those were, they were also pretty neat.
- tgc1, on 11/02/2009, -0/+3If you look at the very first picture, to the very left, you'll see a Ninja half there, half not there. So cool.
- Shawn10000, on 11/02/2009, -0/+3Yeah, the flickiness is kind of annoying, but it does work to create the 3d effect. Also remember that these are very old images so they did not have 3d glasses/ imax theatre back then so I am still impressed.
- palehorse864, on 11/02/2009, -1/+4Last picture needs Xzibit.
"Yo inu..." :P - mouseshoes, on 11/02/2009, -0/+3This Account Has Been Suspended
- DiggerLater, on 11/02/2009, -1/+3I feel sick after looking at that. Maybe if they had been spaced out so you only see on at a time it may have been less nauseating.
- AManWithNoName, on 11/02/2009, -0/+2It's probably Japanese Maple. Beautiful trees, but the leaves are a bit misleading.
- newman8r, on 11/02/2009, -0/+2There is THC in the leaves, just not very much in the big fan leaves. A lot of the smaller leaf clippings can be fairly potent though
But yeah, you're right... I guess I thought it was the leaves too at one point lol - Philbert, on 11/02/2009, -0/+2Actually what they had a was a stereoscope. Kinda like glasses with a holder in front for the 2 pictures. The 3D effect comes though much better if the pics are just side by side.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stereoscope - AllLitUp, on 11/02/2009, -0/+2And their web host says they offer unlimited bandwidth...nice
- Entroper, on 11/02/2009, -0/+2No, worse: LAWNMOWER!!!
- Rain12913, on 11/02/2009, -0/+2That shake that you refer to wasn't the leaves, it was likely just that: shake (poor quality bud that includes lots of stems and greenery). The shake that you get from poor quality buds has lots of little leaves in it that are different than the large leaves that I was referring to above. These little leaves are a part of the bud, and therefore have a relatively high THC content. That's why you sometimes see cheap pot that looks like oregano. The large Cannabis-shaped leaves that were referenced in the original post are never used in shake, they're trimmed off during the harvesting process or sometimes even before, and literally have THC levels approaching zero. Some even argue that they have absolutely no THC at all, though I'd wager that it's simply trace amounts far too small to have any effect.
Here is a pic of what I'm talking about, notice that even this shake has some solid bud in it, whereas some shake can simply look like ground up leaves without bud at all: http://onehumanbeing.com/the_mmj_project/wp-conten ...
And yeah, I remember people rolling dollar bill joints, but what we did to my friend was just roll a dollar bill into a tube (with about a half-inch opening at each end) and fill it loosely with tea. When he lit and sucked, the tea just went straight into his mouth. We still give him ***** about it to this day. - phqu88, on 11/02/2009, -0/+2It be dead
- muffinmonk, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1Hmm... looks like the site bombed.

- askantik, on 11/02/2009, -0/+1Neat, but this would be much easier to look at if each picture had a "Start" button so the entire page wasn't jigglin' around making me a little dizzy.
