- Haoie, on 10/03/2008, -0/+45Itchy & Scratchy, you have a lot to answer for.
- drunkmuppet, on 10/02/2008, -1/+39FTA - The idea came from a 15y/o boy... Pretty good idea if ya ask me!
- OneRottenTomato, on 10/03/2008, -1/+30FTA - 'unrelenting acts of blood and discomfort never previously witnessed on the Cartoon Network'.
Adult Swim? - TheRealJMX, on 10/02/2008, -1/+26Why is this more disturbing to me than the live action violence I see on TV all the time?
- Branchex, on 10/03/2008, -0/+19"Another violent picture shows famous cartoon cat and mouse duo Tom and Jerry as never before - with Tom the cat chopping Jerry into small pieces in a pool of blood and guts."
"The controversial characters, all taken from the popular Looney Tunes series... "
Tom & Jerry are not part of Looney Tunes! - LordPhoenyx, on 10/02/2008, -1/+19Totally cool. I always watched cartoons and wondered why no blood or broken bones.
- Navicerts, on 10/03/2008, -0/+17Because it violates your innocent childhood memories.
- MCA2142, on 10/03/2008, -0/+14Wabit season
- nezza, on 10/03/2008, -0/+13Please, please, please tell me that Tweety Pie finally gets what's coming.
- cyclopssmiley, on 10/03/2008, -2/+14Idea probably came from 4chan
- Ruch182, on 10/03/2008, -0/+10Yeh just read about this in the metro, I'm gonna try to go to the exhibition - the thought of sylvester finally getting tweety is beautiful to me.
- StuartGibson, on 06/14/2009, -0/+8They're cartoons - you can drop a safe on their head and they'll just shrug it off. Everyone knows the only way to kill a toon is with Dip.
- gl77, on 10/03/2008, -0/+7damn i miss watching looney tunes on TV. cant ***** find them anywhere on TV now.
***** politically correct *****. - Tanktunker, on 10/03/2008, -2/+9You must've been a ***** up little kid.
- kamiten, on 10/03/2008, -2/+9This is news? Furry websites see far far worse, daily.
- inactive, on 10/02/2008, -2/+9Hilarious.
- Mr.Gone, on 10/03/2008, -0/+7I love the fact that "Parntal warning lable" and "Parents are shocked, but their kids love it" are both in this article. Stupid ***** parents.
- Vidalsassgirlie, on 10/03/2008, -0/+7As long as there's no sex or F-words. At least Jesus and the MPAA can agree that seeing heads get blown off is fin for a childrens movie but cursing or a nude body requires an R rating.
- inactive, on 10/03/2008, -2/+9I'd rather see what Wiley E. Coyote does when he finally catches that smart-assed Road Runner
- pedo, on 10/03/2008, -0/+6funny how as soon as you add some red splashes the exact same pic becomes extremely graphic
- ivantalboys, on 10/03/2008, -0/+6Duck season
- inactive, on 10/03/2008, -0/+6Bugs should be in drag.
- dogberry11, on 10/03/2008, -0/+6Telegraph is not a tabloid, it is a broadsheet.
- MysticSavage, on 10/03/2008, -0/+6Kids today have ***** for cartoons. We were raised on some of the most violent ***** out there and we turned out okay.
- fadeddragon, on 10/03/2008, -0/+5Family guy when bugs bunny gets shot.
- GreatSunJester, on 10/03/2008, -2/+7Just another example of no talent going for shock value. In the original cartoons the violence was just a humor gag, no malice intended. This takes the humor part out, and extended the violence for the sake of malice.
- xz9925, on 10/03/2008, -0/+5More! Must have MORE!
- LordPhoenyx, on 10/03/2008, -0/+5Pretty much
- cJw314, on 10/03/2008, -1/+6No, I'd say that's a fairly normal thing to wonder about.
Unless you knew, somehow, that Wile E Coyote was precursor to Wolverine before the rest of us. - Jeremyz0r, on 10/03/2008, -0/+5Adult Swim:
Wolf's Reign
Gundam Wings [uncut] (with Heero/Duo/etc)
Princess Mononoke
Some of the ATHF episodes (though discomforting to watch anyways.) - TripcodeMel, on 10/03/2008, -1/+5About six years ago, as a high school freshman I wrote an article for the school newspaper (Large Las Vegas high school) on videogame violence. In it, I repeated an insight I had picked up elsewhere, and it went something like this:
Looney Tunes is more dangerous than video games. Video games teach that you can shoot people and they die, but Looney Tunes teaches that you can smack your friends around with a gigantic wooden mallet, and the only aftereffects will be stars and twittering birdies. - bulgingbritches, on 10/03/2008, -0/+4Headshot!?
- gerrylazlo, on 10/03/2008, -0/+4http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTnaCCaf5OM
- graemee, on 10/03/2008, -0/+4YTV, in Canada. Which actually has 233 uncut episodes including some which are "banned" from syndication by Warner Bros. Teletoon has the Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner show IIRC.
- TripcodeMel, on 10/03/2008, -0/+4So what you're saying is, "Simpsons did it"?
- graemee, on 10/03/2008, -0/+440 years ago.
- cardyology, on 10/03/2008, -2/+6Fight-fight, fight-fight, fight-fight fight-fight fight-fight,
fight-fight-fight, fight-fight-fight... the itcy & scratchyyyyyyy shoooooooooooow. - terrible0ne, on 10/03/2008, -2/+6barely more violent than the original. this was Groening's idea in 1990.
- vector86, on 10/03/2008, -0/+4Does it? IIRC the loony toons cartoons were awesomely violent with or without blood. Not that I wouldn't still watch them or allow children to watch them...
/just sayin - bloominoctober, on 10/03/2008, -0/+4THIS IS SPARTAAAAA!!!!!!
- antonio97b, on 10/03/2008, -0/+4Wabit season.
- Sunsneezer, on 10/03/2008, -1/+5CLICHÉ.
Nice execution, but this is hardly an idea. I don't see how that needs to be in an art exhibition. It belongs on forum and in high school textbooks. - cpsutcliffe, on 10/03/2008, -0/+4Oh my god, they killed Daffy.
- drunkmuppet, on 10/03/2008, -0/+4Just because an architect doesn't actually construct the building doesn't mean he isn't important. The kid came up with the idea and his dad just produced it....
- thethirdI, on 10/03/2008, -0/+4Poor kids. Making them go to museums.
- shauntacular, on 10/03/2008, -0/+4I miss those cartoons.
- rahulchowdhury, on 10/03/2008, -1/+4This violent arts will affect the children not us!
- da_bradler, on 10/03/2008, -1/+4Happy tree friends?
- uselessexpert, on 10/03/2008, -0/+3Man....wish I was in London to see this exhibit!!!
