- socialpyramid, on 05/06/2009, -1/+7Let's hope Michael Jackson does not buy one of these.
- Winkleman, on 05/06/2009, -0/+6and i thought the pin hole camera i made out of a shoebox was cool... this thing is a monster.

FYI: technically not a pinhole camera as it uses an optical lens (pinhole cameras literally use a round "hole")
This is cool.... the "World's largest pinhole camera" used a F-18 hanger to make an image "nearly 108 ft (33 m) wide and 85 ft (26 m) high"

- schwnj, on 05/07/2009, -0/+2Does anyone remember the 80s show "321 contact," and more specifically, within that show, The Bloodhound Gang mystery solvers? One of the few vivid memories I have of my childhood involved an episode where the Bloodhound Gang got kidnapped in a delivery truck just like that one and had to figure out where they were by constructing a pinhole camera in the back.

You are correct that this technically isn't a true pinhole, but I'll forgive that as if it were it would be completely impractical. His very primitive lens basically is allowing for a larger aperture without sacrificing too much sharpness. Without that simple lens, either his exposure times would be several hours each or his aperture would be so large that the image resolution would be expressed in pixels per yard. He seems to be using 50 inch wide black and white photographic printing paper which basically has an ASA of 4.
I prefer hours long exposures with my "little" 4x5 pinhole, but I'm not inside of it when it's exposing.
This was the coolest thing I saw today. - EatChex89, on 05/07/2009, -0/+1And to think I had just gotten over my nervous twitch of putting my hand in front of my face every time I saw a delivery truck. . .
Thanks for posting this for me to view again. - jgubbe, on 05/07/2009, -0/+1This guy really believes in himself. I could not pull this ***** off. It is like saying I draw with the biggest crayons, behold my art.
- J353, on 05/07/2009, -1/+1I think he's compensating for something.
- inactive, on 05/07/2009, -2/+2Those pictures are so 1980's we have google streetview now.
- SloppyJoe, on 05/07/2009, -1/+1Seems like a bunch of people making a fuss over someone who has crappy darkroom skills. Ansel Adams would roll over in his grave.
- inactive, on 05/07/2009, -1/+1He should write "Free Candy" on that truck.
- thomast123, on 05/09/2009, -0/+0This thing is a monster, cool truck LOL - other cool trucks: http://www.xxlpay.com
