Boing Boing feuding with Violet Blue?
valleywag.com — All Boing Boing posts related to one time Boing Boing BFF Violet Blue have disappeared from their archive. Some are asserting friction between Violet and some Boing Boing folks, Boing Boing is keeping mum. Drama!

- alizard, on 06/26/2008, -1/+4so what's really going on?
- zota, on 06/29/2008, -0/+8Last year, boingboing wrote about the Society of American Archivists decision to delete their old listserv archives. They generated enough attention that the decision was reversed and the archives were preserved. If they're erasing parts of their own archive for any reason, it's an act of shocking hypocrisy. If they're deliberately scrubbing specific people from their archives, it's a disgusting reversal of all their publicly stated principles.
I hope they explain this, very soon. - ryanpc, on 06/30/2008, -7/+1Could the title for this submission be any more baseless?
- nymbot, on 06/30/2008, -0/+4Still no word from the "Happy Mutants". Very weird.
- debacle, on 06/30/2008, -3/+3Before anyone cries "Free Market! It's not censorship if the government doesn't do it," don't be daft. Being a private concern does not immunize one from basic ethics. If you propound a viewpoint, live up to it. BoingBoing's recent spate of "disemvowling" any even vaguely critical comment is frankly shameful .
- thedaniel, on 07/01/2008, -0/+4inb4 'they can do what they want': yes, they can, and they will look (even more than usual) like hypocrites and unethical journalists whilst doing so.
- nymbot, on 07/01/2008, -0/+2My friend posted the following comment to a post that they have about a group that replaced all occurrences of "gay" with "homosexual":

"Seems pretty strange and funny and scary to go randomly changing words in order to reflect your political and moral view.
OTOH, the stories come through. It is not like they simply threw things into the memory hole because they mentioned 'violet' or 'blue' or formerly favored bloggers.
Oceana has always been at war with East Asia..." - HouseCentipede, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2I had always suspected Xeni sucks, but this seems to confirm it!
