Nobody is every going to wear one of those damn things out on the street, but elements will work their way into the mainstream over the next few years. Tights are already making a comeback, elements of those muted pastel colors are showing up too. Yeah, it's gonna be the 80s again in about 60 seconds.

    It's not meant to be practical, it's experimental.

    Now and then, concepts from these pieces may filter down into street-fashion. Such as color combination, texture, silhouettes, fabric choice, etc.

    i have just always hated that term "fashion statement", as 9 times out of 10 there is not statement to be made other than that the designer stumbled into a field of magic mushrooms.
