- radicaldementia, on 07/07/2009, -1/+13I don't think these designers actually expect anyone to go out wearing this stuff, think of it more like an art exhibit. In that sense, these are pretty interesting.
- ScottMcIntyre, on 07/07/2009, -1/+12These are definitely freaky fashions- I'm not sure who in their right mind would go out in public wearing these. The dead bird hat looks like roadkill rather than being stylish! ;-o
- zomgwaffles, on 07/07/2009, -0/+8Can someone explain to me how fashion works?
- casspa, on 07/07/2009, -1/+7It appears as if someone's toilet-papered these models.

- middy, on 07/07/2009, -0/+6High fashion is just prototyping. Nobody is every going to wear one of those damn things out on the street, but elements will work their way into the mainstream over the next few years. Tights are already making a comeback, elements of those muted pastel colors are showing up too. Yeah, it's gonna be the 80s again in about 60 seconds.
It's not meant to be practical, it's experimental. - bunkka, on 07/07/2009, -0/+6The fifth image from the bottom - the woman in the suit - is actually something I would be alright seeing day to day, looks very cool
- mikek814, on 07/07/2009, -1/+6my kind of halloween party
- ginetteginette, on 07/07/2009, -0/+4it's an art form. some which people wear, others people just look at. it's not more complicated then that really.
- zip000, on 07/07/2009, -0/+3Turn to the left!
- lekahe, on 07/07/2009, -0/+3The weird thing is that I like most of them. They would not look as nice on me though!
- scottc42, on 07/07/2009, -0/+3the mummy look is back
- hoffmann277, on 07/07/2009, -0/+3I've had better looking BMs than some of those...
- zip000, on 07/07/2009, -0/+3I'm sure all those models were thrilled to wear face obscuring masks.
- rootsm3, on 07/07/2009, -0/+3ZzZzZzZ
- dgendreau, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2Looks like a list of things Bjork would wear.
- kaniz, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2Fashion can also be treated as art, where pieces are created for visual impact / make a statement but have no real intent of being worn in the real world outside of the runway.
Now and then, concepts from these pieces may filter down into street-fashion. Such as color combination, texture, silhouettes, fabric choice, etc. - BryanG412, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2uuummm...first I think you bop it.
- Loornadune, on 07/12/2009, -0/+2You mean GLAMOROUS.
- chris1234, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2I do not understand fashion shows at all. They wear the most ridiculous pieces of clothing ever. lots of it seems to be unwearable in a real life situation.
- dbz253, on 07/07/2009, -1/+3i'm sorry, what is the statement exactly? that fashion is pointless so you're just gonna glue/sew a whole bunch of random ***** together and see how people respond?
i have just always hated that term "fashion statement", as 9 times out of 10 there is not statement to be made other than that the designer stumbled into a field of magic mushrooms. - wraiyne, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2i too am an ambuturner...
- Julie188, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2Weird fashion. I guess in this day in age, it is hard to find a way to "break" the fashion rules and be shocking, but the freaky Medusa octopus dress isn't anything I'd wear to a party.
- jstem1994, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1#6 reminds me of the Carol Burnett sketch of Gone w/ the Wind.

- zomgwaffles, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1ok, that's the part I was wondering about. Like how you take something extreme like this and use it as influence for "practical" clothing. It would be cool to see like what high fashion garment influenced what modern piece of clothing/accessory.
- cawfee, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1In the distant future some alien race will happen upon those pictures and base their entire concept of us on these fashion designs. It'll be glorious.
- RachelJTM, on 10/13/2009, -0/+1i think that first pink dress is rad and would totally wear it!
- borez, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1I was just thinking exactly the same thing.
- chaaree, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1it's couture. as others have mentioned, it's designed with over exaggerated elements to anticipate and inspire future trends. similar to the auto industry's concept cars.
- shanealeslie, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1It's not about the entire outfit, this kind of show is all about displaying innovative elements that can be toned down or used singly in more conventional pieces.
- emecks, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1Haute Couture? More like Haute Bollocks.
- fantasticjon, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1First one guy really acts like he knows what he is talking about. Then people around him don't have the conviction to question him. Next thing you know, some super skinny girl is walking down a runway wearing a dress made out of teacups and a hat made out of lollipops.
- o1hc, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1bury for senselessness
- jofo1185, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1FASHION
- ddhillon, on 07/07/2009, -1/+2WTF
- Zomgondo, on 07/07/2009, -1/+2DO NOT WANT
- cawfee, on 07/13/2009, -0/+1FABULOUS!
- JigoroKano, on 07/07/2009, -0/+1Why is that 13 year old boy wearing a bra?
- ginetteginette, on 07/07/2009, -0/+0old women have been wearing fake birds in their hats for ages. it's no new thing.
anyway a lot of these shows are purely for the eyes and not really expected to be worn about. - inactive, on 07/07/2009, -1/+1I hope people don't actually wear the stuff they present at fashion shows...*****'s ugly.
