- Stupidtourist, on 02/02/2009, -1/+85So this isn't Time's man of the year for 1972?
- jamangold, on 02/02/2009, -1/+72So, does that mean the Antichrist is about 37 years old and working as an investment banker somewhere?

People who believe in the supernatural are so irritating. - NoozeHound, on 02/03/2009, -0/+37...well, not any more.
- JigoroKano, on 02/03/2009, -7/+36A lot of people were falsely put in jail over "repressed memories" of supposed satanic rituals involving rape and murder.
It's sad to think that civilization remains so incredibly stupid that something like the Salem witch trials was still possible all the way into the 70's and perhaps even today.
If you can believe in religion, you can believe in anything. - doiveo, on 02/03/2009, -2/+28I was born in May 1972. Coincidence? I'll let you believe so.
- Murdats, on 02/03/2009, -5/+30"But the existence of a supernatural being capable of supernatural actions can never be proven or tested"
and thats why it shouldn't be believed in and belief in it should be relegated to the realm of the insane.
what if I ran around shouting I was a magic fairy child, would you believe me? should you believe me? or would you think me insane?if the supernatural can not be tested, that would be because it has no physical impact on anything, can not be observed and thus to all intents and purposes does not exist (if something never does anything in any way then in what way does it exist?)
belief in the supernatural hinders social progression, con artists make money by claiming to have magic powers, people die through mislead beliefs and cultural knowledge is hindered by the inclusion of myths and fairy tales which actively reduces overall rational thinking skills required to further a society. - Volatile36, on 02/03/2009, -0/+23He'll have a lot more time on his hands... Uh-oh.
- dn11, on 02/03/2009, -0/+21Anton LeVey was just a libertarian and social Darwinist who enjoyed scaring people.

- AikoMiko, on 02/03/2009, -0/+18You have to love the work from Satan's Embroidery Circle (Orbus Embroidor Satanus) though.
- AikoMiko, on 02/03/2009, -0/+18Ohhh....I looked soo thin back then. I can't even wear black since i ballooned up in the '80's.
- scotteabag, on 02/03/2009, -0/+17OMG it's bad horse and the evil league of evil

- ryancawdor, on 02/03/2009, -0/+11Don't worry. When it's rebooted, "Satan Begins" will be much better.
- cumiciki, on 02/03/2009, -1/+12OLD!
- rolf, on 02/03/2009, -0/+11Anyone here born June 1972? If so, is your name Lucifer or Damien?
- DirtyVicar, on 02/03/2009, -1/+12I remember back in 1978 all the kids in my class were well aware of the rock group devil-worship rumors, and when you had all these fundie groups making the news about it and no Internet or critical thinking to refute it, you started thinking that there was a possibility that Styx, Nazareth, and Black Sabbath actually did dabble in the occult. It's kind of easy to laugh about now.
- inactive, on 02/03/2009, -3/+12Ma Pastor dun told may that this is just Satan tryin' to decieve us in the end times.
- ToddsSpleen, on 02/03/2009, -1/+9Look, more goat stories on Digg!
- CeeJayDK, on 02/03/2009, -0/+8"Is this true ?"
"Yes your honor , it's true ... This man has no dick." - DENiAL, on 02/03/2009, -0/+8Is that Darth Maul?
- CoreyTamas, on 02/03/2009, -0/+8Styx?
I don't think minions of the Dark Lord would have written "Babe". - pyroguy56011, on 02/03/2009, -5/+13Conforming to the null hypothesis is the only logical thing to do. You think I'm irritating because I have no belief either way (but more specifically a lack of belief) when approaching the supernatural? That's like saying I think you're being ridiculous when you say you don't believe the entire world is the stomach of a giant turtle. We very well could be, but you have absolutely not a single reason in the world to make the leap and state that we definitively believe so.
@mannajar, that quote does not apply at ALL, nor does your comment about mindlessness. How can you be a mindless skeptic against something with absolutely NO scientific or verifiable data or evidence? I could easily turn around and say you're a mindless skeptic for believing we aren't in the stomach of a giant turtle. - Waiting2awake, on 02/03/2009, -0/+8What about the Knights In Satans Service?
- tsf5000, on 02/03/2009, -0/+7You're an idiot.
- worseforwine, on 02/03/2009, -1/+8Case in point, the person above me: incredibly irritating. The hindrance to progress is people who deny SCIENCE, you can't flip that around the other way.
- luckyme77, on 02/03/2009, -1/+8was a good game
- WiretapStudios, on 02/03/2009, -0/+7Everything was fine with our system until the power grid was shut off by dickless here...
- worseforwine, on 02/03/2009, -0/+6I know right?!? This ***** is older than the internet!
- willsani, on 02/02/2009, -0/+6He never left, did he?
- otbeverly, on 02/03/2009, -0/+6June 1974.
I was just a twinkle in papa Lucifer's eye then. - WiretapStudios, on 02/03/2009, -0/+6It's just a klan outfit dyed black and with some embroidery.
- dotMH, on 02/03/2009, -1/+7Only a bit more awesome.
- negativerad, on 02/02/2009, -1/+7Seriously! http://cgi.ebay.com/1972-TIME-MAGAZINE-SATAN-RETUR ...
- Frixionburne, on 02/02/2009, -0/+5Fifty Cents!
- tsf5000, on 02/03/2009, -0/+5It looks like a satanic Klan member.
- worseforwine, on 02/03/2009, -1/+6There was an Economist article recently about how witchdoctors in Africa hunt and kill albinos for their organs, because they have convinced many gullible people that the potions they make with them are magic. That is why the supernatural irritates me.
In America people aren't generally murdered to make magic spells, but we do have new age shops and religious bookstores which exist to take advantage of gullible, often poor, people and take their money.
We need more common sense, with money, with government and law, and with the supernatural. When things go well or not so well in our lives, too many people give credit to mystical forces instead of taking responsibility. - CementShoes, on 02/03/2009, -0/+5Well I was born in 1984 and I feel more like Winston Smith everyday.
- year2000, on 02/03/2009, -0/+4Marilyn Manson is a corporate whore. His music is like light rock compared to real "occult" bands. You really need to listen to Metal Blade Records bands http://www.metalblade.com/english/content.php
They feature bands like Cannibal Corpse, Cattle Decapitation, This Ending, Six Feet Under, Fleshcrawl, Goat Whore, Razor of Occam, Trigger The Blood, and Shai Hulud.
And a couple of videos to drive the point home that Marilyn Mansion is a candy ass:
Cattle Decapitation: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids. ...
Cannibal Corpse: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids. ...
Enjoy. These are still fairly light bands compared to what is out there. - depro9, on 02/03/2009, -0/+4Beats the ***** out of sheep stories!
- AlaskaLoneWolf, on 02/03/2009, -0/+4Everyone gets sooooo uptight about the dark one. Sheesh. Although I find reading these Satanic threads hilarious.
- WiretapStudios, on 02/03/2009, -0/+4This is getting ba-a-a-a-d.
- Skeptic1970, on 02/03/2009, -0/+4SRA stuff was in the 1980 till the mid 1990. Thankfuly that nightmare is over. It was a result of the woo-woo from from the 70's though.
- NailedEm, on 02/03/2009, -1/+5I feel like I'm missing something here.
