- endus, on 09/09/2009, -6/+13Finally a photography link off digg that doesn't make me want to throw up. Some good shots in there.
My own black and white stuff... http://www.desolatemetropolis.com/dm/archives/blac ... - jeffwmartin, on 09/09/2009, -4/+10Dugg for beautiful pics and all on one page
- fuzzynyanko, on 09/09/2009, -3/+9Very nice. Black and white sometimes has this timeless feel to it
- TedsGame, on 09/09/2009, -2/+6Yeah, something's totally wrong. At first, being the known perv that I am I misread "Beautiful Black and White Pornography", which I found somewhat intriguing though perhaps a bit racist. As I clicked the link I corrected my little error, but the link doesn't point to any pornography, photography or even black and white stuff whatsoever.
- endus, on 09/10/2009, -0/+2Its all listed on my about page...

Short answer: Currently a Canon 5dMKII and L zooms.
Thanks! :) - dystra, on 09/09/2009, -5/+7something wrong here or is it just me?
- oliphoto, on 11/06/2009, -0/+1Amazing images! Love SmashingMagazine too, always a good read :)
- camaroz06, on 09/09/2009, -2/+3With black and white you can get such beautiful textures. Its not going anywhere. Black and white film will eventually disappear but black and white photography will always be around.
- notaku, on 09/09/2009, -0/+1dug for a plug.
- dawngordon, on 09/09/2009, -2/+3oh I love black and white I use it for myself, and I am a fan of ansel adams, BIGTIME
- JBors, on 09/09/2009, -2/+3The dust on the upside-down coffee mugs is chilling. Really captures that timeless feel perfectly.
- 42ndStreetPhoto, on 10/01/2009, -0/+1A very nice set of images
- Haz3rd, on 09/09/2009, -1/+2Very cool pictures.
- silverchrysalis, on 09/09/2009, -0/+1normally i wouldn't dig a shameless plug, but that was really nice. detroit, mostly, or other locales?
- spgass, on 09/09/2009, -0/+1I agree B&W is not dead. My favorite shots are those by O.Winston Link in the waning days of steam railroading: http://lowtechtimes.com/2008/02/19/black-and-white ...
- zippe, on 09/10/2009, -0/+1that's pretty damn impressive. what camera do you use?
- endus, on 09/09/2009, -0/+1Thanks.
Actually it's mostly stuff from New England, but some stuff from Detroit as well. - TwizzleNicole, on 09/10/2009, -0/+1Classics.
- upall, on 09/10/2009, -0/+1B&W is the true classical image.
- frequentFlyer, on 09/09/2009, -2/+2Very very nice.
- Diado, on 09/10/2009, -0/+0B&W is hardly "forgotten and underrated" - it's one of the most popular photographic genres ever.
- jtens, on 09/09/2009, -2/+2I had not realized black and white photography is often forgotten.
- Averness, on 09/09/2009, -2/+1You think those textures are good in black and white, you should see them in color, it's much better. You probably think turning down your monitor's color depth makes your web pages look better?
- raf4far, on 09/09/2009, -3/+2Mirror?
- evildemonic, on 09/09/2009, -3/+1That is your comment?
- twinklyJesus, on 09/09/2009, -6/+3there were about 11 good photos in that bunch. the rest were crappy with no thought to shadow and lighting, as if someone took a bland color photo and made it black and white as if that would make it all better.
And, not one single mention of Ansel Adams... - Averness, on 09/09/2009, -6/+2Black & White photography in the digital age is pure pretentiousness. It's a posers tool to get free 'artsy' points. That doesn't work with me as I see right through it. I got into photography over 30 years ago and B&W was already long dead at that time. Paul Simon wrote a song about it in the 70's called 'Kodachrome'.
- electronicdream, on 09/09/2009, -13/+3A lot of worthless pictures in there.
