- fillourenco, on 03/08/2008, -11/+4mmhm cool but weird. does digg have that section?
- theaceoffire, on 03/08/2008, -1/+6I would say this falls under "Image".
- hakz, on 03/08/2008, -2/+5I would say obsession. Not even Britain does this for prime minister elections. Then again our elections don't affect the world as much as yours.
- b0geyman, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1Yes, obsession. Just like hussein's obsession with crack and getting his pole smoked by dudes.

- theaceoffire, on 03/08/2008, -1/+6I would say this falls under "Image".
- louiebaur, on 03/08/2008, -10/+8pretty cool
- Jones82, on 03/08/2008, -0/+4Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty cool
- Emused, on 03/08/2008, -13/+8Awesam Obamarama.
- douleiastavro, on 03/08/2008, -14/+8People unite! Yes we can!
- lajaw, on 03/08/2008, -3/+3Good gosh. And digg users used to bellyache about the Ron Paul articles. Well, you Obamaniacs have topped it all. Congratulations. You are officially obtuse and a nuisance.
- lamprey187, on 03/08/2008, -2/+3Obtuse is a big word, you must be proud of your little comment. At least you used a big word when you whined like a little girl.
- lajaw, on 03/09/2008, -1/+1What happened? Did you have to go get a dictionary and look it up?
- lamprey187, on 03/08/2008, -2/+3Obtuse is a big word, you must be proud of your little comment. At least you used a big word when you whined like a little girl.

- FadieZ, on 03/08/2008, -8/+10Here's a closeup if anyone's interested: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2189/2279253649_5bf ...
- lamprey187, on 03/08/2008, -5/+2thanks, that is just cool.
- dcollins, on 03/08/2008, -12/+52Okay guys, I like Obama too, and I will probably vote for him, but this godlike worshiping of him needs to stop. He is not infallible. Eating his ***** will not make you immortal. I am tired of logging into digg every day to see 10 articles within sight about how Obama will be the greatest president in US history, and any other nominee will cause armageddon. If this keeps up, he is going to end up being another punch line like RP. I mean come on, he is probably the best choice this time around, but he not a god. Is it ever possible for the collective digg community to prefer someone or something with out it degenerating into nauseating fanboyism?
I will probably get dugg down, but before you bury me, at least attempt to see that I am trying to make a point, and not just flame.- theaceoffire, on 03/08/2008, -8/+7How do you know that his ***** DOESN'T grant immortality?
I personally am too scared to test it. - Laughto, on 03/08/2008, -1/+6I turned off 'Political News', 'Political Opinion' and 'US Election 2008' categories on digg to escape the above noted stuff but still get it all the time.
- Muzikal203, on 03/08/2008, -10/+5How is art Godlike worship? It's not his fault the other candidates don't inspire people to do things like this. We all know he has faults, I don't agree with everything he does or says, but then again I can't think of anyone I agree with ALL the time. Just appreciate the art, and if you don't like it, well that's your right :-)
- DesertSquirrel, on 03/08/2008, -1/+5That's not what he's saying. It's just that there is NEVER a negative story about him that makes it to the front page and there is NEVER a positive (or even a neutral) story on the other candidates that makes it to the front page.
- mal1964, on 03/08/2008, -10/+4I want to give birth and raise his children.
- chubbybubba, on 03/08/2008, -6/+3Whether it's movies, comics, technology etc... Geeks will always equal fanboyism. I don't mean that in a negative way. Geeks have always been a faithful and devoted bunch. HOWEVER, when it comes to Religion and Politics, fanboyism is just plain sick.
- Jones82, on 03/08/2008, -1/+3So it's better to be obsessed with comic books than with someone who is running for president?
- chubbybubba, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1Exactly. Fanboyism decreases ones ability to see the focus of their devotion fairly. Losing site of the negative side of a Political or Religious figure leads to devotion without reason, or personality worship. Think about it. Remember Jim Jones, Heavens Gate and Hitler. Comics are just entertainment.
- Jones82, on 03/08/2008, -1/+3So it's better to be obsessed with comic books than with someone who is running for president?
- Pentalaimon, on 03/08/2008, -5/+3You're absolutely right! Presidents aren't there to inspire people or cause hope! The greatest leaders in history didn't try to spur their countries on to greatness! Fear, doubt and division: that's what America meeds more of!
- DesertSquirrel, on 03/08/2008, -3/+9Wow! A comment that doesn't hail Obama as the best thing since blow j's and it hasn't been dugg down. Maybe there is some hope in the digg community after all.
- Bartboy919, on 03/08/2008, -0/+4I kinda agree about the vast amount of Obama postings, but this picture is cool, thats why I dugg it.
- mrASSMAN, on 03/08/2008, -0/+3First of all, I don't think anyone here is praising Obama like a messiah.. especially due to the fact that digg is mostly Atheists and we don't subscribe to that sort of thinking.. he simply is the best candidate up for election and people are tired of the dirty corporate politics of his competition.
Second of all, the person who created this creates mosaics as a hobby, that's what he does. He didn't do this to put Obama in some position as a heavenly idol, he just enjoys making mosaics and was inspired to make this one. These are the same kind of comments that were made about his Apple Steve Jobs mosaic, which he created for Fortune magazine. It's only a piece of creative art, there's no reason you should look into it any further than that, he supports Barack Obama and is a fan of Apple, so he expressed himself creatively for others to view.
No worshiping here, just a neat picture.
- theaceoffire, on 03/08/2008, -8/+7How do you know that his ***** DOESN'T grant immortality?
- lamprey187, on 03/08/2008, -9/+6You know, this design is inspiring, as all good design is. The link provided by FadieZ lets you zoom in and see all the different people. I have heard all the criticisms that try to tear down Senator Obama's positive speeches. Just consider what type of person tears down another person that stands for unity. Diversity is what makes this country of ours and this planet good and beautiful. I think this design represents that graphically. To see people unite and have hope is very meaningful. Usually best expressed through art.
- BECoole, on 03/08/2008, -1/+3Diversity as a virtue is a lie foisted upon you by your masters.
- lamprey187, on 03/08/2008, -1/+1no, I disagree. Diversity is the greatest asset of humans, and people that think like you twist it into a perceived weakness. To only devote one line to your philosophy is the only thing you even got in the ballpark. Your comment is not worth more than one line. Travel the world, see the diversity. It is better than bashing it from behind your secluded computer. I know I have wasted my time replying to you. The narrow minded can never see the other side of their own self-fulfilling rhetoric. Keep the blinders on, nobody cares how you choose to live out the rest of your life.
- BECoole, on 03/12/2008, -0/+1What is diversity? Is it 3 companies - 1 w/3 white guys, 1 w/3 chinese guys and 1 with 3 black guys? Or is it 3 companies, each made up of 1 white guy, 1 chinese guy and 1 black guy?
- lajaw, on 03/08/2008, -1/+1Diversity is really only good in your portfolio. Diversity is okay, but in the grand scheme of things, we are all Americans and this country will become more repressive until there is unity under the Constitution. And Obama, Hillary, and McCain will not lead us to the promised land!
- lamprey187, on 03/09/2008, -1/+1nobody made any claim about a promised land, diversity in a portfolio is a good thing but has no place in this thread. Either you embrace diversity or you don't. I do. For people that cannot understand that there are amazing things to learn from all cultures seem to be more closed minded. Yes, as a country we are one, but guess what, everybody here (except for Native Americans) came from some other culture and location. Isolationism in a global setting has failed over and over though history. It leads to a lower level of technology and overall standing in the world. Diversity exists. How people deal with it is either in a way that unites or a way that divides. Try to understand the concept of the word "United".

- mactep86, on 03/08/2008, -6/+7Great job, it looks awesome
- theosdesign, on 03/08/2008, -9/+3Awesome portrait. It happens to know the designer and it's very in portrait design with mosaic. Just check his flickr and you will see a very good artwork. Vote for Obama portrait! I hope Obama see this portrait of his.
- stejules, on 03/08/2008, -10/+4thanx for this nice shot!
- im12env, on 03/08/2008, -10/+7Very cool almost symbolic of people rallying behind him..... :)
- Jones82, on 03/08/2008, -0/+2Isn't that the point?
- Myztry, on 03/08/2008, -9/+9All we need now is a mosaic of George Bush using images from Iraq.
Of course he'd need to be wearing a red shirt to make enough of the sub-images usable. - Ockniel, on 03/08/2008, -7/+6I don't like how much of his shirt is some chick doing a Nazi salute. . . .
- Bagrad, on 03/08/2008, -6/+7I like Obama and all, but there's some new mosaic everyday on digg now..
- Section1, on 03/08/2008, -9/+9this picture makes me feel creepy and sad inside :(
- GramarNatzi, on 03/08/2008, -3/+20At least it's not as creepy as the steve jobs one.
- mal1964, on 03/08/2008, -5/+3My Esophagus just blew up!
- NikRDC, on 03/08/2008, -3/+4This and the one with Steve Jobs are really cool (even though i don't own one Apple product, and i don't support Obama).
- Jeffler, on 03/08/2008, -6/+6Way better than the Steve Jobs one from yesterday, made by the same guy. Keep on improving, tsevis!
- schizogony, on 03/08/2008, -4/+10These mosaics are already getting old.
- electronicchina, on 03/08/2008, -2/+2good.
- goldendome92, on 03/08/2008, -10/+10I love Digg, but Barack Obama will not be a good president, and you guys need to stop making him a god. I am not a hilary supporter either. I like that you guys are getting involved in our great nation, but you can't vote for someone just because they are cool. I also believe a lot of college students like him because of the fact he is black. I don't want to start a fight, I just want a good president. God bless America.
- noliberalbull, on 03/08/2008, -1/+2"...I'm the only major candidate who opposed this war from the beginning; and as president, I will end it. Second: I will cut tens of billions of dollars of wasteful spending, I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems, I will not weaponize space, I will slow our development of future combat systems, and I will institute and independent 'Defense Priorities Board' to ensure that the Quadrennial Defense Review is not used to justify unnecessary spending. Third: I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons. To seek that goal, I will not develop new nuclear weapons, I will seek a global ban on the production of fissile material, and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBM's (Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles) off hair trigger alerts, and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenals." - Barack Obama
If that doesn't scare the hell out you, I don't know what would- goldendome92, on 03/09/2008, -0/+1Hey man, you got it right. He is scary.

- ahpro, on 03/08/2008, -5/+3That'll be his tens of dozens of fans.
- Pirate45, on 03/08/2008, -4/+7*yawn* @ Obama propaganda
- JavertHolmes, on 03/08/2008, -0/+2*sets stopwatch to time how long until someone comes out with a "scary clinton face" mosaic*
It's funny how people were upset about the dean scream being hyped, but have no problems hyping up clinton's "scary" faces.
- JavertHolmes, on 03/08/2008, -0/+2*sets stopwatch to time how long until someone comes out with a "scary clinton face" mosaic*
- DaDrake, on 03/08/2008, -4/+7This constant worshoping of Obama is becoming characteristic of a cult.
- DesertSquirrel, on 03/08/2008, -2/+1No, it's just that all the Ron Paul supporters were out of work, so they were picked up by the Obama camp.
- mark076h, on 03/08/2008, -7/+2ok instead of having each one show up on the front page how about we just Digg the entire collection all at once to get it over with? http://digg.com/arts_culture/Lots_of_mosaics_all_i ...
- Mabx86, on 03/08/2008, -3/+5That is a little more creepy than anything else
- skyz, on 03/08/2008, -4/+5if obama fails in his run for god i think he can probably get some good endorsement deals for apple products - after all both apple and obama are so very capable of inspiring such rapid devotion which i will admit i find irrational - i will probably get majorly dugg down for this but at least i have the satisfaction of upsetting people by stating the obvious
- RRJackson, on 03/08/2008, -2/+6Mosaic of the People. I'll agree with that. "The People" are morons. I had to sit in a Ford dealer while an emissions valve was replaced on my step-father's van a few days ago and they had Regis on. I felt like the intelligence was being sucked out of my eyes, but it's very representative of "The People." They love Regis...and American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, Dr. Phil, Entertainment Tonight, Desperate Housewives, Survivor..."The People" are morons. And he's a mosaic of them, there's very little doubt about that.
- Jones82, on 03/08/2008, -3/+3I'm not disagreeing with you but you sound like a prick
- RRJackson, on 03/08/2008, -0/+1Oh, I am a prick. Heh...
- lamprey187, on 03/08/2008, -1/+1yeah you do sound like a prick. Digg is a good place for that. People have huge balls behind a keyboard and a monitor. Lots of tough talk on digg.
- RRJackson, on 03/08/2008, -0/+1Oh, I'm a prick in person, too. Probably a bigger prick in person that online. Hell, my stepfather died this week and my mother has been so annoyed at the calls from his brother that I changed the phone number. He got one of his friends from the Florida Senate to get it for him and I told him this morning that I'd get a restraining order and keep him from attending his own brother's memorial service if he didn't stop calling here and bothering my 87-year-old mother. I'm not shy about being a prick. And I don't do the Internet anonymity thing. My profile tells you who I am.
- lamprey187, on 03/08/2008, -1/+1yeah you do sound like a prick. Digg is a good place for that. People have huge balls behind a keyboard and a monitor. Lots of tough talk on digg.
- nixfu, on 03/08/2008, -0/+3Maybe if we had more pricks in this country we would have fewer pussies and not be subject to such idiotic dumbing down of the public arena.
- lamprey187, on 03/08/2008, -2/+1no you'd get 3 terms of Bush.
- RRJackson, on 03/08/2008, -0/+1Oh, I am a prick. Heh...
- Jones82, on 03/08/2008, -3/+3I'm not disagreeing with you but you sound like a prick
- 1timeuser, on 03/08/2008, -2/+4Cool! Now do Vida Guerra with hundreds of pictures of puppies and kittens!
- Jones82, on 03/08/2008, -0/+1How about Vida Guerra with hundreds of smaller Vida Guerras
- HCJfilms, on 03/08/2008, -3/+5Alright, no more of these please.
- cave, on 03/08/2008, -1/+5Where is Obama Girl??
- MortalynFlux, on 03/08/2008, -1/+3I like the caption under the Obama mosaic. It's nice. Optimistic.
I, myself, am not so optimistic. Power attracts the wrong kinds of people. No matter what the ideology. As Lord Acton said, "Power corrupts and absolute power courrputs absolutely." - haidalangara, on 03/08/2008, -5/+4screw obama
- Badtastic, on 03/08/2008, -1/+4I approve this message.
- MrESaulved, on 03/08/2008, -3/+2Obama supporters, you should google Zbigniew Brzezinski. Learn something new.
- Gemfinder, on 03/08/2008, -1/+1I did. He did six hours of legal work for him over a spread of two years.
And I also found out that his foreign policy advisors are three people: Gregory Craig, Anthony Lake and Samantha Power.
Learn anything new?
- Gemfinder, on 03/08/2008, -1/+1I did. He did six hours of legal work for him over a spread of two years.
- Ell3, on 03/08/2008, -5/+3Obama is your typical American politician. He's a good talker, but at the end of the day, he's said nothing of substance.
- Iconoclast25, on 03/08/2008, -1/+4He speaks better than most - although not even close to JFK, no matter what his starry-eyed admirers may assert - but there is no substance to him. He's merely a light weigh, well-tailored, empty suit.
- lajaw, on 03/08/2008, -2/+3sure he has, he has given everyone "hope".
- Ell3, on 03/08/2008, -2/+2It is wonderful that he can inspire hope in people. That is important, but more important will be his policies, and they're not good. He values government programs over personal responsibility.
- lajaw, on 03/08/2008, -1/+2He is a flake. He is leftist. His supporters are Obamaniacs. But "hope" is worthless. I hope to win the lottery, but I don't play. The odds in that are akin to the odds that Obama will restore all of my constitutional rights and my liberties, and do away with the socialist programs of the federal government.
- Ell3, on 03/08/2008, -2/+2It is wonderful that he can inspire hope in people. That is important, but more important will be his policies, and they're not good. He values government programs over personal responsibility.
- lamprey187, on 03/08/2008, -4/+2you sound like a Hillary parrot.
- Ell3, on 03/08/2008, -1/+1I don't like any of your candidates. Hillary, Obama or McCain.
- lajaw, on 03/08/2008, -1/+2They are all leftists. As a Classical Liberal, neither party represents me nor our Constitution.
- Ell3, on 03/08/2008, -1/+1I don't like any of your candidates. Hillary, Obama or McCain.
- whitej, on 03/08/2008, -1/+3the only difference between this mosaic and typical mosaics is that all the images used have solid white backgrounds
- maiku00, on 03/08/2008, -3/+2I'm a strong Obama supporter, but this is ridiculous. buried as lame.
- BannedTwice, on 03/08/2008, -4/+3A islamist in the whitehouse. you libtards are out of your ***** MINDS.
- lamprey187, on 03/08/2008, -1/+2I hope your new name is banned thrice
- nixfu, on 03/08/2008, -5/+3I don't see any Muslim extremists in there like his father and grandfather were....or I don't see any black supremacists, whitey haters in there like his church supports and promotes similar views of.
- lamprey187, on 03/08/2008, -2/+4I don't see any racists like you in there either. Upload a pic of yourself.
- Gemfinder, on 03/08/2008, -0/+4Perfection. This candidate's race IS all about the People.
