- YokohamaGaijin, on 09/16/2008, -6/+564I've yet to see anything by Banksy that isn't profoundly awesome.
- yikiad, on 09/16/2008, -6/+202because this is art, not that gang bang ***** we have to look at.
- Cretius0, on 09/16/2008, -3/+183Banksy has an amazing vision of the modern world, his art is very well tuned-in to this sweep-under-the-carpet age.
- humphreys23, on 09/16/2008, -15/+184that's awesome, banksys work is amazing
- LittleDas, on 09/16/2008, -3/+142I'm always impressed how he always manages to get a message across with awesome imagery.

Wtf? So you don't care if I break into your house while you are away and steal your *****? - mohsenxp, on 09/16/2008, -12/+61This is in London.
I saw it last month. - Hodor, on 09/16/2008, -1/+47silly worker; he should be starting at the top. the way he's doing it will just waste water and take extra time; he'll have to clean bottom part again and again as the wet paint-water mix runs down.
- paulieslim, on 09/16/2008, -0/+38Reminds me of "Early Man Goes to Market" (quite funny Banksy story and photo)
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4563751.s ... - xeemo, on 09/16/2008, -2/+38I believe that's water...or steam. Yeah, probably steam.
- gluecode, on 09/16/2008, -3/+37Amazing creativity! Made my day!

Yea it is. You're mixing law with morality. - aznpwnzor, on 09/16/2008, -2/+30art of the art of destruction of art
amazing - Starshope, on 09/16/2008, -5/+31that guy is one of the creative artist I have ever seen. His work is so original and just uplifting.
- Stormen, on 09/16/2008, -0/+25It's not fresh white paint - it's water from a high pressure pump.
- Insomnya3AM, on 09/16/2008, -1/+26Once you start recognizing other commenters on Digg, I believe it's time to take a break from the site and catch some air...
- caseyyano, on 09/17/2008, -4/+29Hey folks, just for the record- the art that is being erased by banksy's graffiti dude is the famous ancient paintings found in the Cave of Lascaux in France.
The website can be found here: http://www.culture.gouv.fr/culture/arcnat/lascaux/ ... - DeskFlyer, on 09/17/2008, -0/+21Typical diggers. The photo didn't take itself, idiots. Just because it's copyrighted doesn't mean the dude is making money off of it. Get your narrow minds off of DRM already, this is not even remotely related to that. FFS.
- fruscianteisgod, on 09/17/2008, -4/+24cool story Hansel
- Fatcheeseguy, on 09/16/2008, -3/+21Anything Banksy is guaranteed top 10.
- Genecalypse, on 09/16/2008, -3/+21that must be one sweet life, super hero but for art
- LittleDas, on 09/16/2008, -0/+18I believe he's supposed to be pressure washing the graffiti off.
- nerdherder, on 09/16/2008, -0/+18Signature says Banksy :/
- bigfatphony19, on 09/16/2008, -7/+24Holy ***** that is amazing.
- tommyrocksout, on 09/16/2008, -5/+22notice the "© All rights reserved." under the picture. kinda lame, taking a picture of someone ELSE's art and putting a copyright on it.
- ilmmad, on 09/16/2008, -0/+17Yeah, it's a crime against the owner. Some people don't want property they bought to be painted without their permission. It's even worse when the grafitti is just a name, or gang related. No one wants that on their wall.
Some graffiti'd art is great and I'd love to have some of it on something I own, but justifying it as not a crime because it is artistic makes no sense. - inactive, on 09/16/2008, -1/+18The one that says "Banksy"?
- OstrakonX, on 09/17/2008, -1/+17I agree, which is why I rage like a ***** every time I see this image:
http://www.banksy.co.uk/outdoors/images/landscapes ... - dasamps, on 09/16/2008, -1/+17I didn't realize there were people that don't understand what a pressure washer is and what it does.
- Stavrosian, on 09/17/2008, -0/+16If you can wait around to snag a photo of a council worker blasting it off with a pressure washer you could make a fortune.
- ligyron, on 09/16/2008, -0/+15Oh. Thanks
- piradians, on 09/17/2008, -0/+14He's trying to educate us! Get him!
- youliveinfear, on 09/16/2008, -0/+14you know, even if you weren't sure of what the signature said(although I made out Banksy at first glance), you could have gone to google images and typed in "banksy signature" and seen very quickly it's his, as that's exactly what I did. Not that I care I just don't like know-it-alls who spend more time chastising everyone else than they did actually verifying they're right.
- RansomHoldiay, on 09/16/2008, -1/+15its always amazing art, but the process of printing out the stencils, cutting them, getting together all of the paint, going out and actually doing the art with maybe 100+ stencils and not taking days on end to do it is just unbelievable.
- DeskFlyer, on 09/17/2008, -3/+16Why? It's the photographer's photograph, why should he barred from copyrighting his own work he produces with a camera? Anyway, the 'All Rights Reserved' is put in there by Flickr's default settings, it's not like the guy put the words in there himself.

Your question. - MrApocalypse, on 09/17/2008, -0/+13@Millsee His or Her name is Sodomizer... You can take the kiss
- daedalous, on 09/17/2008, -0/+12Coming from someone who goes by 'arseburger' and has pedobear for his icon...
- dasamps, on 09/16/2008, -1/+13Do you mind if I go ahead and grab your car? I mean, as long as you don't think it's a crime and won't prosecute.
- Tom10803, on 09/16/2008, -3/+15Bansky is amazing.
- Asianwaste, on 09/16/2008, -1/+13He'd admire the point of forceful entry.
- sodimizer, on 09/16/2008, -4/+15How do you think up ***** like this.
X - bigfatphony19, on 09/16/2008, -0/+11Honestly I don't usually love these things either but I genuinely think this one is excellent.
- Melodik, on 09/17/2008, -0/+11A lot of people think he does that free-hand? In my experience, you have to have at least a base understanding of graffiti in order to come across the name Banksy anyways, and in that case you should be able to point out the differences between free-hand and stenciled work.
That being said, stenciling still takes plenty of work. The amount of actual art that goes into a stencil is no less than any other graffiti piece, it is simply a different medium to be working with. In the case of Banksy, very often are multiple stencils and colors involved, making the time and effort probably more than a traditional "tag". - vptel, on 09/17/2008, -0/+10don't you think?
- MikeSetera, on 09/16/2008, -6/+16How ironic.
- darkwing81, on 09/17/2008, -0/+10alot of graffiti artists do that because they need to get in and out quick in case someone calls the cops
- crazyhorse13, on 09/17/2008, -3/+13@yikiad
I agree totally. Those random gang names sprayed all over the place are completely pointless and ruin the chances for real artists. -
