iasos.com — Some of these great ice sculptures are from Harbin, China, Alaska. And some from the Sapporo Snow Festival in Japan. Seems, creativity is cross-cultural and universal!

- Bluemanz, on 08/31/2008, -0/+9All of the smaller sculptures are from the Annual Ice Exhibit in Fairbanks, Alaska. I've grown up going to this thing every year, and I can tell you that it's an incredible experience. Artists from all over the world work for days in -20F weather to create these sculptures, and the results are breathtaking. I've seen an exact model of a praying mantis, a 36 foot tall Poseidon, The Last Supper, and hundreds more, all carved out of solid ice. If any of you happen to be visiting Alaska around February and March, I highly recommend taking the time to see this.
- bonshepherd, on 08/31/2008, -0/+1Oh Alaska! this is your moment to shine.
- raybert, on 09/01/2008, -0/+0I agree, I saw it in 2007.
- BedPost, on 08/31/2008, -3/+4I was so much more excited when I thought the thumbnail was a picture of a Death Star ice sculpture.
