- ethanator1088, on 06/29/2009, -1/+68OK, the new "Tweedledee & Tweedledum" freak me out.
- jboitnott, on 06/29/2009, -8/+58This Tim Burton movie looks incredible. Always nice to see Bonham Carter and her boy Depp back in a Burton flick. No singing this time though please. :-)
- ryancawdor, on 06/29/2009, -7/+54Wow, Burton's really exercising his creativity here.
Johnny Depp, check
Helena Bonham Carter, check
Overused, creepy-for-the-sake-of-being-creepy set design and costumes, check
Fawning, "OMG, can't wait to see it!" comments, check
I get it; it's not my taste and millions of people adore his work. It's just that every time I see hear he has a new project I can pretty much envision the final product, based solely on his past work. - AmyVernon, on 06/29/2009, -1/+42It looks exactly like I'd expect a Tim Burton film to look.

That is my favorite Alice. - iDoraemon, on 06/29/2009, -3/+38American McGee's Alice will always be my favorite version:

- santiago1, on 06/29/2009, -2/+34 MMMMMMmmmmmmmm Anne Hathaway.........
- schleufer, on 06/29/2009, -0/+31I came here to represent American McGees version, and left very satisfied that someone else already got to it.
- xt0ph3r, on 06/29/2009, -0/+29I was disappointed to see that version missing.
- rinote, on 06/29/2009, -1/+27He's made his name doing this kind of work. You could look at any scene from his movie and tell by the style that it is a Tim Burton work. He's a recognized brand name and he gets paid mad bucks for his work. Aspiring movie directors would kill for that.
- lemercier, on 06/29/2009, -2/+26"Johnny Depp was all but born to play this role. Or rather, it's a role he's been playing for film after film after film now" .... so true. What character does Crispin Glover play? Cheshire Cat?
- jrm125, on 06/29/2009, -1/+18ALICE, ALICE, WHO THE ***** IS ALICE!
- ginetteginette, on 06/29/2009, -1/+16alice in wonderland is not an old movie, it's a novel.
- h4mx0r, on 06/29/2009, -0/+14I was wondering where it was. It's quite a vision to see something in another light...
- silverchrysalis, on 06/29/2009, -0/+13knave of hearts. stephen fry plays the cheshire cat! can't wait...
- paradigmx, on 06/29/2009, -0/+13Are you sure you read the novel? Or are you basing your opinion on the Disney movie?
because the movie is nothing like the novels - EskNerd, on 06/29/2009, -0/+12Why do I never get tired of that video?
- VelvetoneFusion, on 06/29/2009, -2/+14Have you forgotten this Alice?

Edit: Now with fixed link! - SirBruce, on 06/29/2009, -0/+11Buried for not having Tom Petty's "Don't Come Around Here No More" music video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5H0wUo37RY - SirBruce, on 06/29/2009, -2/+12Tim Burton is Helena Bonham Carter's "boy", not Johnnny Depp.
- jordanlgta, on 06/29/2009, -0/+9Don't forget the 1903 film version....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMEtJDNYVi4 - Khast, on 06/29/2009, -2/+11I don't think this one can be screwed up by Burton...if anything his dark sense of humor might actually make a serious improvement over all the light and fluffy versions that have been made. *cough* Disney *cough*
The original book was not bright and colorful...it has a lot of dark humor embedded in a whimsical drug induced trip. - jake1337, on 06/29/2009, -1/+10Who doesn't want to bone her?
- atarijedi, on 06/29/2009, -0/+9What about the 1985 Alice in Wonderland? The Jabberwocky scared the living crap out of me when I was a kid.
- LordVance, on 06/30/2009, -0/+8To be honest, I don't really care for a good portion of his movies. However, I also don't see his style as a problem (even if he continues to rehash it).
He has made a brand, a genre unto himself.
Action movie staring "X" person - always the same
Comedy starting "Y" group - always the same
Romance staring "Z" chick - always the same
Summer Blockbuster directed by "Bay" - always the same
With the sheer volume of absolute ***** ***** that is always, always the same coming out on a yearly basis - I just don't see any reason to complain about Burton's formula. He has a large fan base (I liked scissorfists and thought nightmare before christmas was great, but thats about it) of people excited to see his interpretation of any project he touches; personally, I'm not in that fan base - but I know my wife/sister/mother are all dieing to see how it turns out. - mywhitenoise, on 06/29/2009, -1/+9heh, I was just about to post "I'm sick of seeing those two actors all the time!"
There are other actors besides Johnny Depp and Christian Bale. - leif77, on 06/29/2009, -2/+10The BEST mad hatter... http://megavideo.com/?v=UQ2D27Z4
Sorry, Megavideo link sucks but it's the only one I could find...
"Absurd? Of course it's absurd, because were all MARVELOUSLY MAD!" - Forbiddendonut, on 06/29/2009, -0/+8Wasn't there an Alice in Wonderland porno?
- robinthehood, on 06/29/2009, -1/+9I'm gonna get ***** slammed for this but I have to say it....
Remember when Tim Burton used to innovate and not just sit on his laurels of quirkiness? How about an original story again Tim? How about stop rehashing ideas with "The Tim Burton Experience: starring Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter"
I love Tim Burton as much as the next movie fan (a lot) but we need more "Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Big Fish" from you Tim. We don't need another rehash of a classic film done by you.
There's a reason they say you can never relive your childhood and many of us are happy with that. - Cuchanu, on 06/29/2009, -0/+7Looks pretty cool... except I'm not sure about Johnny's makeup.
- simpleid, on 06/29/2009, -4/+11It's become very 'cool' to bitch about ***** these days, hmm? The world is full of cliche's, someone alert the press! No one saw this coming!
- Kitt84, on 06/29/2009, -1/+8Given that this movie is supposed to take place 10 years after the original, the age is just about right. She also doesn't have any memory of her first visit, I believe.
- DetpackJump, on 06/29/2009, -2/+9I think you mean American McGee's "Jumping Puzzles"
- stubear, on 06/29/2009, -0/+6That game rocked. I was pissed his Oz game was cancelled. The concept art made it look so promising too.
- CireDark, on 06/29/2009, -0/+6Nice! Well Played!
- kdmkdmkdm, on 06/29/2009, -1/+7Julia Roberts is a BAD thing?!
- kingmanic, on 06/29/2009, -0/+5http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_in_Wonderland_( ...
- twiztidsinz, on 06/29/2009, -0/+5As much as I want to bury you as a fan of the game, I had to digg you up for the truth.
- inactive, on 06/30/2009, -1/+6They should of got Tom Petty for the Mad Hatter instead, and left off the makeup. He looks like how the Mad Hatter is suppose to look. Depp looks like The Joker meets Skeletor meets Carrot Top.
- kalvinb, on 06/29/2009, -0/+5Johnny Depp is currently in Public Enemies. He's hardly a sterotyped actor. Tim Burton on the other hand tends to made dark twisted movies and Johnny Depp is first in line to play the lead.
The 1985 made for TV version of Wonderland is one of the few, if not only, versions so far that's had the Jabberwocky. Interesting that even the Wikipedia page on the Jabberwocky doesn't mention it. Apparently few people have seen that version. It's currently available on DVD from Amazon. - stubear, on 06/29/2009, -0/+5How could you forget THIS alice?
http://www.avn.com/movies/21286.html - Jhiaxuz, on 06/30/2009, -0/+5No singing? You've never seen Alice in Wonderland, have you?
- Roguecop, on 06/29/2009, -0/+5One pill makes you larger...
- digitalArtform, on 06/29/2009, -0/+4Get ready for 100,000 (more) amateur photographers and models to do a version.
- DRNOOO, on 06/29/2009, -0/+4Dugg down ! There have been so many different Alice's that this blogs.laweekly.com spam forgot !

Or where she's gonna go,
I guess she's got her reasons,
But I just don't want to know,
'Cos for twenty-four years
I've been living next door to Alice.
