- MrSmileGuy, on 05/06/2009, -1/+2490% of what's there is actually classified as 'street art' which is a different movement than graffiti art.
Great work either way! For daily street art updates woostercollective.com is the best site on the net. - seldon452, on 05/06/2009, -1/+21All on one page. Dugg.
- purepleasure, on 05/06/2009, -0/+13Great collection, very inspiring artworks!
- jaygeeze, on 05/06/2009, -0/+10There's so many creative graffiti on there, it's almost a shame to call them vandalism instead of works of art. You'd think that the people participating in vandalism would be better respected and encouraged instead of persecuted by the law. The graffiti in the shanty town (by JR) was so cool, it looks hard to do, probably took him a while. Oh and Duggfor Banksy! His work is so powerful, stylistically it's plain, but the message they contain is great.
- desfahanian, on 05/06/2009, -0/+9sorry u like to look at the same old boring things every day
- Charun, on 05/06/2009, -0/+8Yeah!!!
***** hippies with their goddamn culture. - TrichomeKid, on 05/06/2009, -0/+8Although I wouldn't agree with artists putting graffiti anywhere they want, most graffiti artists have permission to do this. Or they put it on a run down building adding a little color to a drab area. No offense but you're probably a really angry, boring person.
- JCEEZ, on 05/06/2009, -0/+7There's like 3 major types of Graffiti:
1- Marking gang territory, you probably don't see it that much cus your on digg and don't live in South Central
2- Just bombing, getting your tag out as much as possible, bonus points for obscure and hard to reach places (negative points for the inside of a bathroom stall)
3-big art-like pieces that you take pride in
/ex-bomber - Charun, on 05/06/2009, -0/+5There's no reason for tinyurl on digg. Let people see where they're going.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcPd2qbXqxc - moft, on 05/06/2009, -3/+7Dugg the article for not proclaiming Banksy to be the second coming of Christ and the only visual artist on the planet
Dugg you down for name dropping - jggube, on 05/06/2009, -2/+6You probably live down south.
- Gloogle, on 05/06/2009, -0/+4The tourist information one gave me LOLZ...
- gamerbambi, on 05/06/2009, -1/+4Gary was here, Ash is a loser
- JCEEZ, on 05/06/2009, -1/+4Anytime there's any cool street art, everyone goes Banksy crazy. He's a great artist, but he gained most of his infamy via books at Urban Outfitters and the likes....
- Josexph, on 05/06/2009, -0/+2The work that JR did was wheat pasting, its actually somewhat printed out then pasted onto the wall
- firebhaal, on 05/06/2009, -0/+2smashing.

- Lactar, on 05/18/2009, -0/+1Banksy is like the Warhol of graffiti. I see what he's done there, but I'm as much a fan of the artistry as the preachy messaging as anything. In fact, some of my favorite fiti I can't even read.
- NickLee808, on 05/06/2009, -4/+5BANKSY WAS HERE
- jsquared29, on 05/07/2009, -0/+1JR ftw! I love his photography and street art.

- ZurMacht, on 05/06/2009, -0/+1Dugg for the Magritte recreation.
- FadieZ, on 05/07/2009, -0/+1The Tom Yorke one's inaccurate, both his eyes are pointing in the same direction.
Seriously though this ***** is insanely good. - cyborg664, on 05/07/2009, -0/+1I've always loved Banksy's work. It always draws me in to find the meaning behind the paint.
- Wubsy, on 05/07/2009, -0/+1Love > $
It's a little cheesey, but I found it quite powerful. - diamonac, on 08/11/2009, -0/+1i truly appreciate these artists' work, and respect them as artists, not people who vandalize. their work really makes a depressing neighborhood or street beautiful. the photographs of the the broken down homes were very, very cool. (i just hate when i see this type of thing on old, historic buildings.)

- hendrixlives64, on 05/07/2009, -0/+1dugg for steven powers AKA ----~~----> ESPO!
- NJSlacker, on 05/07/2009, -0/+1whatever the process JR used, I thought the end result was one of the more inspiring works in the collection.
- desfahanian, on 05/06/2009, -0/+0half of the names are totally wrong. come on u dont know who anthony lister or swoon. the first one is obviously banksy for his pet store last year. thanks for sharing but if you are going to post something like this so thousands upon thousands people see, at least do some research first.
- jetcom, on 05/06/2009, -1/+1meh
- MCA2142, on 05/07/2009, -2/+2Brooks was here.
- ivan423, on 05/06/2009, -1/+1That's nice art because the artists got payed to do it, but most graffiti is gang crap eye soreness.
- er1chu, on 05/07/2009, -1/+1I would argue that whatever is considered "street art" still falls under graffiti because even though you may use a different medium, or the content maybe different, you're still making a mark on a public surface. The term street art comes off as a pretentious attempt to distance it away from graffiti, as if graffiti somehow isn't art.
- Endersama, on 05/06/2009, -3/+3banksy ftmfw
- coldplaymusic, on 05/07/2009, -0/+0great work...really stunning..
