I wasn't aware that having some photoshop skills qualifies as an artistic talent. Not to be too critical but it's all very ordinary. It's as if he's trying to hard.

If he can get his top 10 or 15 and tweak the ones that need to be tweaked then he'd have good portfolio pieces. This way he won't have it cluttered with tutorial looking pieces.
