- AmyVernon, on 09/16/2008, -0/+13These are great, but I'm not sure why the second one is called "Asian suburbia" when there's an American flag in the foreground. Or is that irony?
- MCA2142, on 09/17/2008, -0/+9Usually, these lists are *****.
Dugg for the pleasant surprise! - MelroseMan, on 09/17/2008, -0/+7It's not called China Town anymore. Get it?
- reeder84, on 09/17/2008, -0/+7dugg for being all on one page
- wrestlingnrj, on 09/17/2008, -0/+6I wish I had talent like this. The work is amazing.
- JackBalance, on 09/16/2008, -0/+6Impressive selection !
- inactive, on 09/16/2008, -0/+6I'm with you. I don't really get it.
- parkamark, on 09/17/2008, -0/+3I agree with the first commenter on that page. 'The Prayer' is absolutely stunning. If I didn't know otherwise, I would have said that's a real photograph. Truly jaw dropping stuff. If they can bring that kind of realism into the Play Station 4, I may just start saving up to buy one!
- Lunarbunny, on 09/17/2008, -0/+3If you want a large selection of good digital art I recommend CGSociety's choice galleries -

- hadbeen, on 09/16/2008, -1/+3I love it! Great work!
- tmike7223, on 09/17/2008, -0/+2wait until Unreal 4
- chinimini132, on 09/16/2008, -0/+2Amazing stuff!
- TheDuckHat, on 09/17/2008, -0/+2Isn't the Hammer picture the promo picture for Nintendo's Project H.A.M.M.E.R.?
- Lynxist, on 09/17/2008, -0/+2I'm a total sucker for that vintage nose art often seen on planes from WWW II, so they had me on the opening pic.
- lunarc, on 09/17/2008, -1/+3Uhh, hate to break it to the original author, but not all of these are digital. For example
Study of Verity Jane by Lucong
if you go the the site, it says oil on 24x24" panel. The painting is a whole series.
Either way, this stuff is amazing to look at but maybe the author should do a little more research rather than assume everyhthing at CGHUB is digital. - inactive, on 09/17/2008, -0/+2Ok so round numbers are out! This week it's all about random length lists. I suppose it makes a change from the 10 WAYS TOOTHPICKS CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
- TrainingName, on 09/17/2008, -1/+3Mirror needed!
All ready going slow. - bakagaigin, on 09/17/2008, -0/+1Lol at "Composition #4." I know it took a hell of a lot of skill to make, but it just makes me think..."wow a boring photograph."
- RadicalEdward, on 09/17/2008, -1/+2it's dead for me.
- fullphaser, on 09/17/2008, -0/+1As many have said not all of these are CG
- jonshipman, on 09/17/2008, -0/+1Which is why it's just Composition #4 and not "Beating the Mediocre" or some other "profound" title. Likely it's just a study the artist used to perfect his skill. You just don't crap out beautiful paintings automatically, you have to practice. Whoever did "The Prayer" probably has catalogs of face studies as well.
- lukerat88, on 09/17/2008, -0/+1damn, Ingrid Bergman looks extremely photorealistic... its like a movie still
- MacBookForMe, on 09/16/2008, -0/+1Virtual Beauty and Virtual Life...
- temporaryholder, on 09/17/2008, -0/+1That's really impressive that it's all done in the Unreal 3 engine. Cool stuff
- caintrain, on 09/17/2008, -0/+1Well Composition #4 is like C4, the plastic explosive used heavily in WWII, So judging by the picture of the army dude on the TV, I'm guessing it's something about that
- Andrwmorph, on 09/17/2008, -1/+2Please post images that you've done that are better.
- baltar2008, on 09/17/2008, -0/+1Dug for the burning Lanc.

http://hyipnews.freehostia.com/hyip - lunachique, on 09/17/2008, -0/+1I've loved Kei Acedera's work for years. Her kids and faeries are adorable. I dugg her piece with the Street Fighter characters as kids.
- nothing4me, on 09/17/2008, -0/+1wait until Unreal 5
- h3lx, on 09/17/2008, -0/+1It's not a contest for doing "better", it's about advancing the art which none of these do.They're illustrators, let's not be unrealistic. Try not to get so caught up in the shock and awe that you can't stand back and admire art respectfully for what it is. At the same time, it's all objective. Needless glorification diminishes those who genuinely excel.
A movie poster can be rendered beautifully but it's still a movie poster. - metroidragon, on 09/18/2008, -0/+1The couple pictures that are noticeably worse than the rest are speed paintings, and as far as speed paintings go those are still quite good.
- InsaneOni, on 09/17/2008, -0/+1Get started now then, it's a pretty complicated program.
- InsaneOni, on 09/17/2008, -0/+1Yeah, there's a lot of stuff there that's way better than what's posted here.
- inactive, on 09/17/2008, -0/+1how could you forget Square Enix?

- Tcriti, on 09/18/2008, -0/+1breath taking...amazing work...love the prayer one
- metroidragon, on 09/18/2008, -0/+1It really is, check out the other pictures by the same artist, espicially Jason Chan. I've known his work for a couple years now, he does fantastic work.
- metroidragon, on 09/18/2008, -0/+1I believe it's suppose to symbolize either immigration and related issues, or Pax Americana because along with the American Flag was plenty of chinese script and pictures of asian girls on bilboards.
- inactive, on 09/18/2008, -0/+1Yeah it's so clearly superior to modern art *****. These are true artists, but none of them are as famous as Picasso or Jackson Pollock, 2 ***** artists.
- bat-21, on 09/18/2008, -0/+1Gangus Tribute is a reference to Glen Angus ( http://gangus.cgsociety.org/gallery/ ). A brilliant artist who died last year from an aneurysm.
- FrankBde, on 01/15/2009, -0/+0Just dugg this - lucky I found it, a very nice compilation of today's 3D art across multiple disciplines.
- njosnari, on 09/17/2008, -3/+3most look like illustrations. crappy and boring. buried.
- InJectaH, on 09/17/2008, -1/+1I'm impressed, I like that one with the kid holdin the banjo.
- lelia1, on 09/18/2008, -0/+0Beautiful Work! Check out more great CG artists at www.cghub.com.
- trollick, on 09/17/2008, -4/+3Photoshoped.
- nirvgorilla, on 09/17/2008, -3/+2I don't know why, but none of them really impressed me. None of them are really original in my opinion.
