- louiebaur, on 08/26/2008, -1/+10Old Skool Light Graffiti good stuff
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -1/+10"Fortunately we no longer have to wait for frantic festivities: artists the world over are so fascinated with finding new ways of capturing light that it has spawned a new movement in light art, or light graffiti, as it’s become known."
I love that.....one of the reasons I loved the Mac was because of their cool light graffiti graphics. - Whitey07, on 08/27/2008, -0/+8Some are a little poor imo, but the rest are cool.
- EIEAviv2008, on 08/26/2008, -8/+15The Renaissance of our time
- inactive, on 08/27/2008, -0/+6awesome pics!
- gambl0r, on 08/27/2008, -0/+5that's taking it a bit far considering most of the examples at that link could be done by waving a few leds in front of a camera... There are good examples of Light Painting, but not many at that link.
- RevAradia, on 08/27/2008, -0/+3Beautiful. Something to brighten the day. It's a good thing.
- ThatGeek, on 08/27/2008, -0/+3adam west to the rescue!
- vacuum2440, on 08/27/2008, -0/+3wow i wish there were some high res versions for my desktop, those linear light ones were really cool
- Tripper44, on 08/27/2008, -0/+3and heres how its done http://www.wipeout44.com/video/misc/light_graffiti ...
- souljaboytellem, on 08/27/2008, -0/+3lol @ the batman with the TM on it, very cool
- Diggnabbit, on 08/27/2008, -0/+3Why is that site so weirdly complicated to navigate?
And why do the "1. Light and Linear Designs >
3. Ghostly Patterns and Familiar Shapes >" labels keep showing up in weird places? - thorstrongstone, on 08/27/2008, -0/+2Has anyone seen what Graffiti Research Labs is doing? I mean, good God, it's amazing.
Here is a link. You can digg me down, if you want, but trust me: it's some of the coolest "graffiti" you will ever see.

- digitaleejit, on 08/27/2008, -0/+2I love how they say that they're the "Greatest" examples. No, they're just 30 examples.
- dopemon, on 08/28/2008, -0/+1I think the one with the cyclist passing by is the most beautiful but i agree that these are not the 30 best examples at all, i have seen far better on digg before.
- Aidanjalali, on 08/27/2008, -0/+1Very very beautfiul and inventive, but perhaps just "light art" would be more appropriate?
- Juntistik, on 08/27/2008, -0/+1Ravers have been doing this for years...
- EIEAviv2008, on 08/28/2008, -0/+1Sometimes when I'm really tired I like to act profound, this was one of these moments :-)
- Nature1, on 08/28/2008, -0/+1I wish digg would host some sites with "the greatest" photos that are not only light graffiti or high dynamic range...
- bznhphott, on 08/28/2008, -0/+0I'm rather fond of the Batman symbol.
- shar0213, on 08/27/2008, -0/+0Many of these were done with long camera exposures, and wouldn't be visible to others in the area. A few months ago I hacked together some stuff to let you draw persistent graffiti using a simple laser pointer. Anyone in the area could see it.
Check out the C++ source code, and pics in action on a 7 story building:

(from link in comments) - probablyrory, on 08/27/2008, -1/+0You've got to love light graffiti, no one can complain we are being vandals.
I used light graffiti to help tell a story.....check it out:

most fun ever! - mictron3030, on 08/27/2008, -2/+1Call me crazy but I dont really consider that to be graffiti.
- estee0703, on 08/27/2008, -2/+1Isn't graffiti supposed to imply the defacement of public property? I mean these pictures are awesome, even artistic in many respects, but graffiti they are not.

What is Digg?
