- DforSpiD, on 09/22/2008, -5/+20I don't know about you, but I generally digg things based on my opinion of the article/pic/vid and not because of the submitter...
- pmpsta, on 09/22/2008, -7/+16I'm glad there's not people sized insects, those pictures were starting to freak me out.
- DforSpiD, on 09/22/2008, -0/+7So you let your opinion of a user judge whether content has merit?
Digg the submission if you like the photos...
If you have a problem with MBM then report him here:
http://digg.com/contact - Yetisquatch, on 09/22/2008, -4/+10Ive shot over 11000 insect and flower macros this year and there are some really good ones but none as good as these. With insect macro, proper equipment is #1, photography skills is #2, and luck with the subject is #3. These photographers had all 3.
- AmyVernon, on 09/22/2008, -6/+12These are really stunning; but the spiders with multiple eyes totally give me the creeps.
- zacbro, on 09/22/2008, -1/+7It's someone bashing Mr. Babyman again.
Buried. - mcsia, on 09/22/2008, -8/+14Why do people digg down mrbabyman even if it isn't a resubmit? (It hasn't been proven that this is yet)... If it is a resubmit then bury this and digg up the original story, just as long as the content gets to the eyes of diggers... I personally enjoyed this set and dugg the story... however, I will bury this if a disgruntled digger has proof of submitting first and digg the first poster... Please, don't deprive fellow diggers of good content just because you have a grudge against the submitter.
- Greenergrass, on 09/22/2008, -7/+13The last one with the dragonfly and pearls of water is purely a wonder.
- DforSpiD, on 09/22/2008, -2/+6You mean all spiders?
- albyliontk, on 09/21/2008, -10/+14Another incredible collection of stunning high quality photographs of nature, insects and more. Brilliant!!!

- anotherjack, on 09/21/2008, -7/+10It really is another world down there. At my level I would never see anything like the daisy's reflecting all along the dewy branch, or the moth in the fur coat, or understand the distances facing the little stranded ant. It gives me a sense of perspective.
- wondertwins, on 09/22/2008, -1/+4why do ppl digg u down? what camera and lens do u use to take ur pics?
- DforSpiD, on 09/22/2008, -3/+5Does that make the photos any less brilliant?
- snowblind113, on 09/22/2008, -0/+2Where can i get higher res versions? would love the lady bug as my background

Explain - Yetisquatch, on 09/22/2008, -0/+2haha, i fail at #1. i use a point and shoot fuji finepix S5200. i shove a 52mm 4X closeup lens into the lens hood and zoom in with the cameras 10X. the camera can actually take a 55mm screw on lens but i find having the lens abutting the cameras lens gets cleaner and closer shots. Amazingly, with this poor mans setup, i get some beautiful shots. one day i will own some decent equipment.

I really want a macro lens for my camera, but they're so dang expensive (around $500)! I have a Canon Rebel XTi. Anyone know of a cheaper one I could get? - ivosilva, on 09/22/2008, -0/+2You mean every animal that has eyes?
- inactive, on 09/22/2008, -0/+2There are a hell of a lot of spam comments here.
- mcsia, on 09/22/2008, -0/+2Jeez 8 buries and not one explanation? Please someone tell me why it is so bad to digg up original content regardless of who submitted it? By the way I am not a friend of mrbabyman nor do I like his way of manipulating digg but I try not to discriminate because it is not him I am digging it is the story
- Sean23, on 09/22/2008, -3/+5That is not the Digg way.

- bbqsalad, on 09/22/2008, -2/+3You're actually the problem, not MrBabyMan
- OfNumbers, on 09/22/2008, -1/+2I'm putting together a screencap collage of this post. I have been trying to open the main content of the Macro Photography link with no luck for the last 30 minutes. Though the Diggs are pouring in. And isn't this a repost of something D14BL0 posted?
- ronerx, on 09/23/2008, -0/+1dugg for cat image sans caption
- perryge, on 09/22/2008, -0/+1Oh man, it's great to see lordv's photo there (Brian Valentine, the dewdrop refraction one). That guy is the kind of macro.
- leif77, on 09/22/2008, -0/+1Adorable.
- fantasticjon, on 09/23/2008, -0/+1You can put a +7 diopter lens on the front of your lens and you it will allow you to focus your camera very close. Your depth of field will be very poor though.
- fantasticjon, on 09/22/2008, -0/+1search for a "diopter lens" for your camera. It's a poor man's macro lens.
- Lynxist, on 09/23/2008, -0/+1The clarity and level of detail in these shots is truly awesome.
- Icetype, on 09/22/2008, -0/+1There are some tricks you can use to get great Macro without spending a lot of money. Check this pic out:

I took that using two lenses I already owned and a $15 reverse coupler ring off ebay. My camera is the Canon 30D, I used the 28-135mm lens that pretty much comes with the camera, and the $50 50mm 1.8 lens everyone has because it's cheap and awesome.
Search for "reverse coupler ring" - Sourcio, on 09/24/2008, -0/+1Amazing great photos :) really enjoyed them all!
- Hoogs, on 09/22/2008, -0/+1Don't those just put the viewfinder in focus for people who have to wear glasses?
- pcg101, on 09/22/2008, -0/+1amazing shots.
