I mean, I am a huge fan of the likes of James Paick, Android Jones, Paick for his amazing, intricate environments and Jones for his patterns and imagination.

the rest of them look like they were lifted from a 13 year old WoW player's deviant art account. and after a quick URL check, it looks like i might not be too far off. buried. - Llanowar, on 05/23/2009, -0/+3Art in general, be it paintings, music, movies, games, sculptures or whatever else, is crap fro the majority.
So of course it's true for anime as well. But there is also plenty of anime out there who have a perfect understanding of the anatomy.
And, as it goes, deviant art is for the most part crap as well, but also has its share of amazing artists.
