- as566, on 03/13/2009, -1/+68I won't argue that they're all creative, but inspirational..?
- ksgant, on 03/13/2009, -4/+52He's not bad...but let's face it, this is free advertising for a commercial photographer.
Yeah, I know, I'm getting dug down. See ya.
/waves - chriscalifornia, on 03/31/2009, -0/+37Creative? Sure.
Inspirational? Not in the slightest. - microview2007, on 03/13/2009, -1/+35WTF? Ok, a couple of nice photoshopped pics, but signs and tops of taxi cabs as inspirational? How did this make it to the front page? I think 7seven = speckboy.com and is digging up their own blog of their own average photos.
- affalcon628, on 03/13/2009, -0/+34I'm underwhelmed.
- SemperFly, on 03/13/2009, -1/+28yawn
- rozlovesben, on 03/13/2009, -0/+20i dont feel very inspired...
- oo7b0nds, on 03/13/2009, -0/+18pictures of signs and taxis?
creative? some of them, sure.
inspirational? nope. - AlexTommo, on 03/13/2009, -0/+16What's with the taxis?
- beloitpiper, on 03/13/2009, -0/+15Sub-par at best.
- kconnors, on 03/13/2009, -0/+13And what was inspirational about those?
- frostbyt, on 03/13/2009, -0/+11Uhh. Those sucked. I guess I set my hopes too high when the words "Creative" and "Inspirational" were used.
- hazard, on 03/13/2009, -1/+1016 photos from different photographers would have been better.
Buried for blog spam. - Jonwils, on 03/13/2009, -0/+8Most of them are pretty meh tbh.
- superfusion, on 03/13/2009, -2/+10you know what's awesome? women. women are awesome.
i just thought that needed to be said. - lsocoee, on 03/13/2009, -0/+7they inspired me to take a nap while the page was loading
- busket, on 03/13/2009, -0/+6I like how the blog says the photos are presented "as shot" without any post processing as if that even actually means anything. Even if it were true, that picture with the taxis has definitely been subjected to post processing.
And holy *****!! Overpriced much? Yeah, they're nice pictures, but $2000+? If they can sell them for that, good for them. - slimjim5811, on 03/13/2009, -1/+7They're automobiles with a driver for hire which conveys passengers between locations of their choice.
- imquaid, on 03/13/2009, -1/+6You know what I haven't had in a while? Big league chew.
- Sean42, on 03/13/2009, -0/+5Spamtacular.
- itsbob, on 03/13/2009, -0/+5inspirational?
- Rammal, on 03/13/2009, -0/+4Huh!
What a waste of time. - noino1966, on 03/13/2009, -0/+4I think the words 'creative' and 'inspirational' are being somewhat overused in this day and age.
- Zera, on 03/13/2009, -0/+4It's articles like this that really make me wonder how they reach the front page? I mean, I can ALMOST understand the 7th article this week about a photo of a tiger hugging it's trainer. At least that has "cute" appeal, even if it has nothing to do with news, but THIS??? This is nothing.
- ratherstupid, on 03/13/2009, -0/+4I was inspired to post about how lame this is.
- pbgswd, on 03/13/2009, -0/+4somebody paid to get on the front page of Digg. That is the only way this got here.
- rmtamm, on 03/13/2009, -0/+3Those shots of the ordinary, the displaced and the the overlooked are overlooked for a reason.
- Sraser, on 03/13/2009, -0/+3All of these photo's are very well taken, but there hasn't been much thought or effort put into any of them. Composition was off on the vast majority of the photos. Especially the second from the top
That being said the photographer is on the right track with those photos of the female models with the organic material around them. He/She needs to find better models who will become part of the material as opposed to just wearing it like a piece of clothing. - mrDanielC, on 03/13/2009, -0/+3Yeah i really don't understand why these are on the front page... i mean just a random browse on Flickr will show much more interesting images.
- Zubata, on 03/14/2009, -0/+3Some were enjoyable.......others, not so much. Thanks for sharing.
- zacumen, on 03/13/2009, -0/+3Meh.
- AlexTommo, on 03/13/2009, -1/+4I said "what's with" not "what are".
By this I mean how are the taxis creative and inspiring? - boyYEA, on 03/13/2009, -0/+2sucks...
- mikhon, on 03/13/2009, -0/+2one or two "creative" photos, no inspirational photos, the rest just suck
- eraofk00l, on 03/13/2009, -0/+2Haha Cocko
- alski707, on 03/13/2009, -0/+2"sad couch potatoes should restrict their finger excercises to less mentally taxing pass times such as Nintendo !"
That possibly might not go down too well with the portion of people who already thought that your work and particularly the blog blurb was already a bit pretentious, expect the red button, just saying.
That said I think the pictures the blog editor chose were pretty much guaranteed to make that impression and weren’t a proper representation of what you do, I changed my mind once I flicked through your site. also: digg hates blog-spam and hyperbole titles so this was doomed the moment it was posted. - moat211, on 03/13/2009, -2/+4***** or GTFO.
- mikhon, on 03/13/2009, -0/+2Hi Alex & Cocco,
It's great that you spend time working with homeless and needy. It's a very noble thing to do, which however, does not have much to do with the photography work presented in this link. Really, I'm struggling to see how an understanding of your community work will help me to appreciate a picture of a taxi sign.
Also, the 'AS SHOT' part of it is not an excuse for poor picture quality. - JCEEZ, on 03/13/2009, -1/+3Im not going to lie. I was very NOT-IMPRESSED.
- roxie88, on 03/13/2009, -0/+2books are also awesome, and inspirational
- WpDivAn, on 03/14/2009, -0/+2hardly even creative. taxis and boats, yay.
- inactive, on 03/13/2009, -1/+3yah, instead of working with the homeless, take a photography class. :)
also, check into the word 'inspirational'. - AlexTommo, on 03/16/2009, -0/+1What are you, Canadian?
- thekronz, on 03/15/2009, -0/+1Inspirational.
Eh?
Eh? - Elizabeth9, on 04/20/2009, -0/+1They either don't like parkour or don't know what the word means so they digg down for the hell of it. Or maybe they don't like the French, all sorts of reasons I guess. I liked the McDonald's advert that featured parkour.
- milkmit, on 03/13/2009, -1/+2looks like the stuff someone shoots when they get their first dslr.
boring. - julesab, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1If you like Photos :
http://digg.com/arts_culture/Hows_tricks - lekjaz, on 03/13/2009, -0/+1Hmmm... looks like paid advertising, smells like paid advertising, must be paid advertising (or a cleverly slipped-in plug).
- davekmv, on 03/13/2009, -0/+1Yea, not so much with the inspirational. Reasonably creative.
