- socivitus, on 01/21/2009, -3/+62Risk is by far the most fun game on the list. It gets even more fun as you get older and your thirst for world domination grows.
- tbhurst, on 01/21/2009, -1/+55Great call with Risk. Were me and my brother the only ones to ever play Stratego? I loved that game.
- ileftfark, on 01/21/2009, -0/+48YOU'LL GET CAUGHT UP IN THE ... CROSSFIRE!
- ithejosh, on 01/21/2009, -2/+32Good list. Love board games.
- T8erT0T, on 01/21/2009, -1/+28"Basically you go around the board until someone gets an entire set. Then that person refuses to make trades until his hotels are up and you get screwed."
So when you read the word "Monopoly" on the box, what did you think you were getting yourself into then? - BoneStamp, on 01/21/2009, -3/+27Dugg for inclusion of Candyland and lack of snakes and ladders, which sucked... too many snakes, not enough ***** ladders.
- bonk2k, on 01/21/2009, -0/+24Did anyone actually ever play the game? I always just set it up and watched the trap go.
- Mouse13, on 01/21/2009, -3/+27Wow. No Settlers of Catan? One of my favorite board games. Kinda a fusion of Risk and Monopoly.
- ChaosProfessor, on 01/21/2009, -0/+21Has anyone here ever had a game of Risk not have at least one person quit by saying ***** YOU GUYS! teams arn't fair
- caboose1123, on 01/21/2009, -0/+20Mousetrap took AGES to set up.
- rjejr, on 01/21/2009, -1/+20Sorry, but Sorry needs to be on that list. Seriously, it does, drunk or sober.
- XenoSNK, on 01/21/2009, -0/+18I was the one whiny kid who wanted to play Uno. I still am.
Anyone up for Uno? - upick, on 01/21/2009, -0/+17What about Guess Who? Loved that game when I was younger of course
- azbmr, on 01/21/2009, -3/+19You mean Chutes and Ladders?
http://www.boardgames.com/chutandlad.html - yocouchdigga, on 01/21/2009, -0/+13Risk & Stratego, easily two of the best boardgames.
- glenshaw26, on 01/21/2009, -0/+13Atlantic City, NJ
- FJRRulz, on 01/21/2009, -2/+15Umm...Call me crazy here. But how is Chess not on this list!? Awesome list though.
- glenshaw26, on 01/21/2009, -0/+12FTA:
"Clue was a tense and quiet hour of private note-taking, raised eyebrows, and suspicious glances."
I feel like I need to play Clue again soon. - ihate2regist, on 01/21/2009, -0/+12and then it never worked
- AmyVernon, on 01/21/2009, -1/+12Dugg for my childhood. Played every single freakin' one of these and loooooved it.
- docbells, on 01/21/2009, -0/+11You need to try Settlers of Catan then... Your risk game will be back to collecting dust.
- PGPirate, on 01/21/2009, -0/+11When I was younger, I didn't understand why CNN played a game on TV. I always wanted to watch it......Then Jon Stewart killed it
- inactive, on 01/21/2009, -0/+10In my van with a bunch of free candy. Come on and play with me, kiddo.
- AaronRoss, on 01/21/2009, -0/+9all my memories of playing Life are terrible
- XenoSNK, on 01/21/2009, -0/+9Dugg because you are everyone who has ever played Monopoly and won at least once. Once you win once, you're a ***** god for the rest of your life.
It's true. - T8erT0T, on 01/21/2009, -0/+9Donde the ***** is Statego on this list?
- spiderman222, on 01/21/2009, -1/+9Where's naked Twister?
- RunDiggMC, on 01/21/2009, -0/+8Very solid list, but I would have added Yahtzee, Stratego and Operation.
- vagabond00, on 01/21/2009, -0/+8i know it as snakes and ladders, as well. perhaps it's the british name?
- kgalbraith, on 01/21/2009, -0/+7Wow the only one I haven't owned in my lifetime is Candy Land. Off to the store I go.
- WiretapStudios, on 01/21/2009, -0/+7We weren't allowed to buy it because my parents knew we would lose one piece and the game would be useless.
- Scratkiller, on 01/21/2009, -0/+7Don't be a pussy, this guy looks legit.
- JanK1, on 01/21/2009, -1/+8Great list, but no Parcheesi? =(
- sfhock, on 01/21/2009, -0/+7yeah, but not before said person trashed the ***** out of the board so the remaining players couldn't continue!!
- Dronez, on 01/21/2009, -0/+7People never actually played the mousetrap game. I think we just set it up and played with the contraptions.
- blademanx, on 01/21/2009, -0/+7Does he look like a bitch?
- dochoff, on 01/21/2009, -1/+8I like balderdash.

- TalkGibberish, on 01/21/2009, -0/+6Risk 2210 is excellent.
- enkideridu, on 05/15/2009, -1/+7then you'd have to include chess, chinese chess, checkers, chinese checkers, etc
- inactive, on 01/21/2009, -1/+7Anybody remember Fireball Island? I didn't have it as a kid, but wanted it so bad. Guess I'll have to find one on ebay.
http://www.x-entertainment.com/articles/0924/ - jc7012, on 01/22/2009, -4/+10Ah, I'm sorry. The Correct answer is "Who gives a *****."
- disappointed, on 01/22/2009, -0/+6You're still talking about Uno right?
- BoneStamp, on 01/21/2009, -2/+8TRIVIA: the street names of which city are used as the Monopoly property names in the standard edition of Monopoly?
- rpong1981, on 01/21/2009, -0/+6Hotels FTW
- PhrosTT, on 01/21/2009, -0/+5i actually started looking for some good board games recently so i could stay in and save some money....
anyway check out http://www.boardgamegeek.com/browser.php?itemtype= ...
i just got Puerto Rico which is cool. I also hear Ticket to Ride and Carcassone are really good.
...
I liked Risk but good strategies take like 6 hours to deploy. - inactive, on 01/21/2009, -0/+5Well the point is that since it's a roll of the dice that decides which properties you can buy, strategy is taken down to a minimum. Whoever gets luckiest and scores a monopoly first wins. Generally the more skill you remove from the game, the less fun it is, imo.
- wizardcombat, on 01/21/2009, -0/+5all my memories of life are terrible
- raober, on 01/21/2009, -0/+5I know it's mainly electronic, but it had the board game factor too, so I'm going with my favorite game from the 80s...Dark Tower!
