- AmyVernon, on 10/26/2008, -0/+18I had no idea his name was so long... I can honestly say I didn't know most of these factlets... Have always been a huge Picasso aficionado.

I love this one, because people don't need to be good in school to be great ! - MrJagil, on 10/26/2008, -0/+10I don't love it, since it only show how narrow-minded people are, concerning intellect. "take an IQ test, and see how smart you are!".. *****. I know many people who can out-smart other people with a higher IQ, because there are so many damn facets to your intellect.
The worst part is, the school system neglects to take this into account, which results in genious' like Picasso being sent to detention (yes, i know, this happened a 100 years ago, but it is easy to find equal examples from our time). "hey kid! stop day dreaming!"..again, *****. Day dreaming is a sign creativity and instead of being discarded as sillyness, it should be developed.
/rant - shadowman99, on 10/26/2008, -0/+9He could walk down the street and girls could not resist his stare.
The girls would turn the color of an avocado when he drove down the street in his El Dorado.
Pablo Picasso was never called an *****. Not in New York. - bixby1, on 10/26/2008, -1/+9I love that Pablo was a pimp in his own time. So many artists never tasted fame while they lived. 'Blo blew up and got his like the Spanish Cubist hustler he was. Props.
- closethipster, on 10/26/2008, -0/+5I don't usually digg these numbered list submissions, but Picasso was a mad genius.
"Some painters transform the sun into a yellow spot, others transform a yellow spot into the sun." - basye, on 10/26/2008, -0/+4I always loved Picasso because of Lump the Dachshund.

- ScottMcIntyre, on 10/26/2008, -0/+4It's great to see some of his very first drawing in this article- as well as the epic 'Guernica'. Very apt that his first word was 'pencil' apparently.

- lazlonger, on 10/26/2008, -0/+2nice....
- mikelist, on 10/26/2008, -0/+2people don't have to to get good grades in school to succeed, but usually they need to learn the focus that staying in school and trying to get good grades develops. i have a high measured iq, but it took me years and in part, army basic training, to develop any persistence, which led to more than a couple of non-productive years previous to that. i'm not complaining, i had fun, just did myself no favors, long-term.
- lazlonger, on 10/26/2008, -0/+1damn you bannoy....i was moments too late. i never should have made coffee first!

Pablo Picasso never got called an ***** - inactive, on 10/27/2008, -0/+1So me having a difference of opinion means i like Nascar?? i don't get your logic.
- Sornos, on 10/26/2008, -0/+1People like Picasso are anomalies. Not every kid who day dreams in class is a genius. There are far more stupid kids day dreaming than smart ones. The school system gives you discipline and perseverance. The ones that do best aren't necessarily the smartest, but they will accomplish the most as they have the shown that they know how to use the system. All the intelligence in the world is useless if you can't use it productively.
- BrunoDillen, on 04/24/2009, -0/+0He'd better only created a list of 5 curiosities.
