update all artwork in itunes free and with only a few clicks
nclasssoftware.com — Corripio is yet another artwork finding application. But Corripio gets its artwork from the ITMS. If your song information is relatively correct and your album is on the iTMS Corripio will download and save the artwork to the song automatically! Just select one song or multiple songs and press ‘get artwork’ and Corripio will do the rest.

- thetheaterimp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Its about time there is a good reliable service like this out there. Although most programs get their art from Amazon which I would say has more albums than iTunes, but I'm sure the iTunes image quality is much better.
- branmann1, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Is there something similar to this for Windows?
- hellbus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I use iArt from www.ipodsoft.com It does a good job, and gives you the option to pull the artwork off of Amazon, Google Image Search, AND ITMS.
- hellbus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I forgot to mention that iArt will also add the lyrics on your songs. Well worth my $.
- wadelindsey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I use iTunes Art Importer at http://www.yvg.com/itunesartimporter.shtml This works extremely well for me as it is track based, not album based like some other utilities.
Basically, you just select all the files you want to add art to (i.e. Select All!) - then specify whether or not you want to overwrite if there's art there, and go. Couldn't be easier - just make sure your files aren't read-only!
As far as iArt - never used it, but it's $10 shareware... That's why I've never used it. iTunes Art Importer only searches Amazon.com, so I can see the appeal of searching iTMS, but don't know that it's worth it.
/my two cents. - jasonkostempski, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Windows Media Player get's album art, updates the ID3 tags and orginizes the files if the file name is anywhere close to accurate. When iTunes has all this built in, I'll switch.
- bpinard, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2BRILLIANT.
It has taken long enough for a great app like this to surface!
woot! - Nainto, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Site's down?
- djeo, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Yeah, site's down. Too bad, I spent two hours last night cleaning up my album art. I could have used this.
- EvilCowSan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Site's down so i don't know if this is mac only like some one said, but here is a windows equivalent. http://www.yvg.com/itunesartimporter.shtml
It's a bit buggy but it can be helpful at times - freddy71, on 10/12/2007, -11/+2Digg effect!!
- bpapa, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I'm gonna try this out when I get home. Hopefully it's back up by then.
- Nainto, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Menuet does something similar to this. (Fetches from Amazon at your request)
- homelessgiant, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1can you post more info about menuet?
- SwornPacifist, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Menuet is apparently Mac only, FYI
- sman, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2For more information, you can check out http://www.menuetapp.com/ As mentioned above, it appears to be Mac only.
- jdizz22, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0Still not working.
- Macintosh, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Mirror:

- mattkapp, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3orginal site got hit with the digg effect. use the mirror that macintosh linked.
- easy4lif, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Downloaded it. hanges on looking for artwork. its more of and Alpha then a beta

(At the moment It looks like it's being hammered from the digg effect as well) - Amplix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18http://www.amplitude-x.com/misc/Corripio_0.2.dmg I mirrored it
:) Good app- Lewisham, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5"The page you are looking for sucks and is currently unavailable. And it's not like I'm saying you should hold your breath either.
It's easier to blame you, so we will. It's your fault this wont work."
How upsetting :D
EDIT: it works now. Sweet! - Amplix, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2LOL sorry I fixed my typo on that link
- Macintosh, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4Works, thanks!
- liquidrums, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3Thanks!
- diecastbeatdown, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3good mirror bud, nice one! ;)
- Lewisham, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5"The page you are looking for sucks and is currently unavailable. And it's not like I'm saying you should hold your breath either.
- Lewisham, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3The "mirrors" are all direct links back to the original site, but by not trying to go through the HTML I guess the chances of getting a connection are higher.
Does anyone know of an off-site upload? (or could make one? :) )- emblym, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4http://www.amplitude-x.com/misc/Corripio_0.2.dmg
As mentioned above.

- RandomC, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1As long as you're filling out your iTunes records, don't forget to ge that pesky bpm data as well. I would've posted an article about this great bpm analyzer myself, but someone else did it for me. Give it a digg, it deserves to make the front page.
http://digg.com/software/Mix_Itunes_Music- romanbercot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Don't do it! MixMeister BPM analyzer is the reason I need a utility to put the images back in. I ran the BPM analyzer on my library, and while it did set BPM counts on everything, it also deleted all of the images I had painstakingly added to each album.
I love MixMeister, but the bastards really screwed me on that one. And I haven't been able to find any contact info to MixMeister to let them know about the bug.

- Ireland, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Didn't find anything I looked for!
- krove, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2The app (once you get it) sure is slow...
- c0d3b0y, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2iTunes Art Importer only works for iTunes 4.5 or 4.6
- wadelindsey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I use it on iTunes 6.x all the time - I think the 'Required' section on the iTunes Art Importer download page just needs an update - any iTunes that uses the current iTunes SDK should be capable of handling calls from the iTunes Art Importer.
- geoffreyjr, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Anyone know of an app that will automatically fill the "album" field of your collection?
- wadelindsey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Try the MusicBrainz Tagger at http://musicbrainz.org/tagger/index.html - this will change your life! I highly recommend the Tagger Classic over the newer 'Picard'
It will clean up all your tracks and rename them accordingly if you like - will fill in artist / track / album / track number for you automatically from the freeDB music database. - cooperaa, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Picard is way better if you collect full albums as opposed to single popular tracks! n00b
- wadelindsey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Try the MusicBrainz Tagger at http://musicbrainz.org/tagger/index.html - this will change your life! I highly recommend the Tagger Classic over the newer 'Picard'
- sygyzy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Are there any equivalent Windows apps that don't require iTunes?
- sysadmn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1If you're looking for a Windows equivalent that doesn't require (but works with) iTunes, try MediaMonkey. Select all the tracks on an album, hit CTRL-L, and it looks them up on Amazon. Hit the "Auto-Tag" button, and it updates the tags for song title, artist, year and album art. Also has a mode that shows you which albums don't have art. And this is just the free edition!
- Lacero, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1iTMS artwork comes in at around 300-400 KBs. I usually have to bring this into PS and reduce it down to a more manageable 100-150 KBs.
- RCHILD, on 10/12/2007, -8/+4***** bitch, I had to do all this ***** by hand. I used to highlight a whole album then get the jpeg I needed off Google or something and then drag it to the artwork section I did that for 300 albums. Because I found out after I bought my iPod that bitch ass WMP10 only put some gay thumbs not even the real metatags on the picturess....
- dracula7, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2ocd?
- potato23, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2lol, why would you bother? i wouldn't consider doing that for more than like two albums unless there was an app to do it automatically.
- lightningrod220, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2This app doesn't work. I tried it, even with "popular" music like Kelly Clarkson, and it didn't find an image.
- DephexTwin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10You admit to having Kelly Clarkson in your library?
- buckykatt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4No, no, it's Colonel Mustard in the library.
- dan4321, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Fetch Art for OS X works just fine for me in any version of iTunes. It pulls the art from Amazon. The link is http://members.cox.net/afriesen/fetchart/
- Amplix, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2That one is also very good. I think I like this one more though.
- easy4lif, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1it works, its just takes a while for the artwork to download
- element17, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Album Cover Finder for Mac and PC does a great job finding artwork from Amazon and it will find multiple covers by the artist, track listings, links to concert dates and artist info. The link is http://www.albumcoverfinder.com
- Zukunft, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Seems similar to this...
http://tpemble.urfbownd.net/itunes/itunes-art-style.php
That's what I use, it also works for podcasts. - alexdagrate, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Me thinks Apple shut down this app's source for artwork.
They should use the Amazon library. The interface is what makes this app better than Clutter, iTunesCool and all the other Artwork-fetch apps.- Z_Man, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1no! never!! i've always wanted an app like this!
- zyphbear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you are looking for an easy to use web based artwork grabber and like the quality of the iTMS artwork, there is
http://www.thejosher.net/iTunes/ ("Josh's iTunes Album Art Grabber" works very nicely and is platform independent, fetches all artwork from iTMS, even allows to do searches by artist or album or even SONG and it will give you some results, can be slow at times, but pretty decent 95% of the time)
Also for those people who want to fix ALL ID3 tags in their mp3s before dropping into iTunes) or don't use iTunes at all)
you should try "The GodFather" it will get all kinds of information including album art and album information from different resources, but is Windows only: http://users.otenet.gr/~jtcliper/tgf/
or go here for alternate links: http://www.download.com/The-GodFather/3000-2141_4-10232547.html?tag=lst-0-1
They have recently updated the software and it now supports: mp3, ogg, mpc, ape, flac, aac, apl, wv, mp4, ofr, or spx - fantastine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8NOTE FROM DEVELOPER (ME):
The app is unfortunately dependent on my server, running a variant of http://tpemble.urfbownd.net/itunes/itunes-art-style.php I'm trying my best to deal with the massive load of all the users. I should have an update out later to help balance the load. Also anyone interested in helping work on it please contact me. This app is open-source. Hopefully it should start working as soon as my server stops getting hammered, sorry about any inconveniences.

fantastine1234@gmail.com- Tryforceful, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1erm, so you're a senior in high school?
cool.
guess I got a year to learn C to catch up ^_^ - fantastine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1haha :)
- Tryforceful, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1erm, so you're a senior in high school?
- ymee2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0you could also try MA3D from http://www.bouncingknee.com
- andrew52, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1sssssllllllllllllooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww
- fantastine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The app is going slow since the server is. I was stupid not to add in backups, I will for the next patch release which I am working on at the moment. The app is normally pretty fast, I just normally don't have this many users pounding my server. sorry.
- Amplix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Keep up the good work fantastine, your server load should drop soon because this fell out of the front page. I was lucky and saw this in action before it started getting hammered.
Good app :) - Z_Man, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2slow as heck but much better than fetch art! thanks!
- MrManFitz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2For Mac OS X, iPod Clutter is a decent album art getter. It retrieves from Amazon (so there's a good chance it'll find what you need) and it updates all songs in the album with one click (keystroke really). Plus it allows you to drag album covers to your desktop so you can simply double click them to hear that album. http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/ipod_itunes/clutter.html
- thal3s, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nice that it's Open Source, but it was dugg way too early in its life cycle as the app is totally beta.
I selected one song and clicked "Get Artwork" and it ran for 9 minutes before it presented me with about 6 choices of album art. Yikes!
The info panel play button plays the wrong song and shows no artwork (even on songs that *already* have artwork) then randomly shows artwork when an item is clicked on versus using the keyboard.
Decent effort, but clearly produced by someone who just started using Xcode the other day and is not yet familiar with event handling and other basic Objective-C principles yet.
Keep plugging away - it seems to have promise. - Ashex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The retrieval times are wicked slow due to the digg effect. Their server is currently being raped by it's popularity.
- CrioKnight, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Uhm. There has been a program like this forever. It pulls the album art from amazon.com.
It's called Fetch Art. Just punch it into www.versiontracker.com or www.macupdate.com.
As for Window$ I don't know. Haven't searched for one. This just seems like a redundant post. - mutualofomaha, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0how the hell do i install this program
edit: i just realised this isn't for windows - IceBreak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Scan all the mp3 on your computer with this script, and auto-get their artwork:
