*drinks Pepsi* - nixonrichard, on 10/11/2007, -4/+143Congratulations! You've won:
GX7S92TPPN
HSOIOFW3W
WE4SDE2OPL
Go to mycokerewards.com, look at a bunch of ad banners, give us your personal information, and find out if you won a free song . . . DRM included! - unloud, on 10/11/2007, -3/+101"It's coke" - YAY!
"Europe only" - NOOOO!
Oh well, at least our friends over sea can snatch up some songs and soda. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+55Pepsi Fanboys...that's a new one there
- kelemor, on 10/11/2007, -8/+34wow not in North America.....that really sucks
- kingfoot, on 10/11/2007, -3/+24pepsi is not cola-y enough for me. so i drink coke. nothing against pepsi, really, i jsut favor the taste of coke more. apparently so does europe, but not america :'(
- Scheissen, on 10/11/2007, -11/+29europe only?
"OK, this is lame." - *jooloop*, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14Not if you are in France!
(And for all of those pro-Pepsi pepole out there...
it practally doesn't exist in Europe, so that wouldn't make much sense.) - kirb59y, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13As if saying "meeelyon" wasn't bad enough, you botched the math. Two billion songs on iTunes would cost $1,980,000,000.
- nerd05, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12jesusgaytard, do you work for Verizon?
- Gunrun, on 10/11/2007, -6/+18Yeah because if it happens outside your country it must ***** SUCK am I right?
- somewhatchewy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14I loved it when they partnered with Pepsi. I had just got an iPod and I had most of my friends and family giving me caps that they brought home from work. I had to of got about 250 free songs.
- KungFuJesus, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13From my trip to europe, i can vouch for the fact that coke is FAR more dominant than pepsi over there. I rarely even saw pepsi. Also, their coke is better because they don't use crappy corn syrup
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -43/+55I like pepsi more
The red button is right there ---> - KSUdesigner, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12Apple has partnered with pepsi in the states in years past with a similar promotion. Either Pepsi pissed them off, or Coke is more dominant in Europe. Wouldn't know, never been overseas.
- FrankieB078, on 10/11/2007, -4/+14iTunes and Coke to give away 2 BILLION DRM downloads!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12That's 128 kbps AAC *not* MP3. That rate has actually been tested and rated at slightly higher than CD quality. 128k MP3's suck.
- specialK16, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12You mean, free DRM, awesome!
not really. - redxii, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Coca-Cola is a big hit in Mexico. At least, there are more Coca-Cola signs per square mile than people.
- beguiledfoil, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Apple pays the labels, duder.. it's the labels that "pay" the musicians.
Edit: Digg jesus up, with those math skills I feel kinda bad for him : / - Tenoq, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Aus is the same as Europe - Coke dominates the market so much that Pepsi is often 20-30% cheaper to buy. I'd say Coca-Cola have 90% of the cola market here.
Not sure what you guys get in the US, but our Pepsi tastes like ass. Really. Even sugar-free Coke tastes better than standard Pepsi - and I HATE sugar-free drinks. :p - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9I think you have had too much caffeine, little boy. That is why you are screaming.
As frar as diabetes, well if YOU are too ***** weak to know when to stop and how to eat/drink anything in moderation, then that is your own demons to fight. For the rest of us normal people, we can enjoy ANY food or drink that we want and will be fine.
The very fact that you consider any one food or drink the reason for diabetes or poor diet proves just how little you understand about health and nutrition. - medulla, on 10/11/2007, -3/+10this just made me wish a good soda would do something like this... like Mr. Pibb
a few minutes and wikipedia later... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pibb_Xtra
?????
am i the only one who never even noticed the name change to Pibb Xtra... iv been calling it Mr. Pibb for years...
and yes... i say soda... not cola, not pop, and definitely not "soft drink" - nreynolds, on 10/11/2007, -5/+12It's not that hard to figure out if you've won before you buy the coke. My friends and I do it whenever we only have enough money for 1, and there's a "1 in 6 chance of a free coke!" contest going on. You just tilt the bottle a certain way and look through it at an angle. It takes some practice but you can usually see if it says "sorry" or "con" (congratulations - or something besides sorry)
edit: i cant remember if it's coke or pepsi... what do they serve at quiznos? whatever, very few people care. - emt1451, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7*hugs*
- babymitch, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7People drinking too much coke and getting diabetes is Coke's fault.....how?
- obrysii, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8Sweet. The DRM on the songs makes them have value!
- Ellord, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Naive.
- TechCF, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4This has been going on for months in Norway. I've downloaded 27 free tunes myself..
Thanks a lot Coke. Some of the chiptune and elektronica I like is hard to find on online - mikwit, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8Cokes bigger in Europe then Pepsi (from what I can tell, Only spent a little time there)
I'm a coke drinker, 4-5 cans a day - Meowbiusfox, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5This just in:99% of the profits will go to the RIAA!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5@ Cuja:
No, not at all considering Pepsi and iTunes did this like what... 2 or 3 years ago? - defectDS, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8I must be the only one that hates both. Good 'ol Sprite or Sierra Mist for me. ;)
- Niz1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Ok the last time CocaCola did this last year every 2 litre bottle of Coke with the promotion, would have a code on it which guaranteed a song from iTunes it wasn't a 1/1000 chance or anything, only catch (if you can call it that) was only 5 per iTunes account, and it had an expiry date of when you can use up your free downloads 31/12/06. Good deal say a 2 litre cost £1.49 and £0.79 for a song the Coke really costs £0.70 There were no ads to watch, you actually redeemed the code within the iTunes store.
- WiidFiend, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4For those with short memories, the iTunes/Pepsi collaboration produced a mild Internet sensation:

"As if saying "meeelyon" wasn't bad enough, you botched the math. Two billion songs on iTunes would cost $1,980,000,000. "
Heh, and you botched the cost ... this is in Europe, we don't pay "only" $0.99 / track. :)
e.g. UK - 0.79p / track = £1.58 billion and at todays exchange rate thats about 3.12 billion USD
Waitin for the digg down.... - tiberone, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4"When Coca-Cola has a Mountain Dew-equivalent, let me know."
Vault. Get To It! - wrenchone, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4@ somewhatchewy
I remember when Pepsi had their Mountain Dew free stuff with bottle caps promotion. My friends and I worked at a store that took in bottles for recycling, and we each walked away from that deal with free X-boxes, X-Box live subscriptions, T-Shirts, and just about anything else we wanted. It was glorious. - BlackCow, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6Didn't you guys hear? Lime wire is giving away even more songs! And they don't have DRM!
- MrSunshine, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3emt1451: http://216.239.59.104/search?q=cache:KmkPDnbHsUkJ:www.sunblock99.org.uk/sb99/people/JIreland/ji_bill.html+american+billion&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&client=firefox-a
- LonesomeFighter, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4makes sense to not include North America. North America primarily already uses iPods, iTunes, and Apple does alright selling music on iTunes. They just need to boost popularity in Europe, and this is a perfect way to do so.
- zeous, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3coke owns europe, they're all over eastern europe (my travels)
- petewhite, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3"Does this mean coke paid iTunes 2 Billion dollars?"
most likely double that the amount we pay in the UK compared to the US for songs on iTunes. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5To one person?
- Phantom784, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I took the "pepsi challenge" one day because I was bored. Coke was better.
- myfanwy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3i might clean the drive with it, but drink the stuff? you must be insane
- tiberone, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I'm sorry but Vault is in every way completely better than Mountain Dew. When I'm drinking Dew it kind of tastes like lemony water - there's no flavor. Vault tastes so good it hurts as it goes down your throat.
Also Vault has *significantly* more caffeine than Dew, which is never a bad thing.
Plus the Vault bottles are soo cool looking. And the commercials are just hilarious. Especially compared to those lame Dew ones with people riding dolphins or whatever that ***** was a little while back. - Firehed, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3I used prefer Pepsi to until I went to a Pepsi-serving school. Now it's all Coke for me, at least for colas. When Coca-Cola has a Mountain Dew-equivalent, let me know.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4Because caffeine and music are one unstoppable combo!
- ilovethissite, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3I still prefer my music the old peer-to-peer way :)
